      As a cheap sports bike it’s very good. Your height won’t be a problem with it. Always best to go and sit in one first though and make sure you feel comfortable.

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  5 месяцев назад +2

      These are decent for a first bike. Nice looking and decent to ride. But with it being a sports bike riding position they are not the most comfortable bike out there. It’s the same on all sports bikes. But if it’s the style you want then it’s a good choice.

    im really confused with the cbt, because when taking the cbt do you have to take a theory test or have a drivers license. also can you have passengers after getting the A1 lisence

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  17 дней назад +1

      The CBT will allow you to ride a 125cc or below on a road with L-plates. You will need at least a provisional driving licence for that.
      You can’t carry passengers until you have passed your theory and practical tests.

    I wish everyone in the UK used motorcycles more
    Less traffic congestion. More green. Less parking space needed (we live in a small island ffs)
    And collisions between motorcyclists aren’t as dangerous as between a motorcycle and car
    Rather than EVs,
    Government should have encouraged motorcycle usage for personal transport for contexts like Commuting to work, picking a kid up from school etc.
    Literally a perfect solution but nah
    muh EVs 🤓

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  7 месяцев назад

      No. In the uk you just need to be 17 years old or older and have completed your CBT then you are good to ride for 2 years. Then if you want to stay on a 125 you just do another CBT. Or if you want a bigger bike you have to do the theory test.

    Please guys, dont buy Chinese bikes, you will regret it...
    a brand new one wont make it to 10000 miles without it causing you a million and one headaches, do some research and dont take this guys word for it, riding it once does not show how terrible it is or could potentially be, if you plan to keep it for more than 6 months, get a Japanese bike.....

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  9 месяцев назад +2

      Which is what people said about Japanese bikes when they first arrived. Some of us are old enough to remember!

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  9 месяцев назад

      I know someone that bought one of these last year. His has 8000 already so I will keep you posted. I do get what you mean and I do have a theory. If you buy something expensive you are more likely to look after it. Pay for services, clean it, keep it out the rain etc. however most people buy Chinese bikes because they are cheap. That could be because they don’t have more money so they don’t keep up with the servicing, it could be that that just needed a bike and it was cheap so they really don’t care about it so they leave it out in the rain and don’t maintain it etc. but people who spend double the price on Japanese bikes buy them and look after them? It’s just a theory. Would a Japanese bike last if it was being abused and not looked after?

    • @markburgess4528
      @markburgess4528 9 месяцев назад

      My son is looking at one of these for his first bike. Thing that attracts me is spares are cheap so when he drops it spare side parts won't break the bank. Cost has to be a factor as he is just coming up to 17, at college and only has a part time job so I expect he will be looking at me for a bit of financial help and I'm not that flush.
      Will certainly look at second hand Yamahas etc though. I used to have the old Honda CB125 twin, loved that bike. I did kind of regret selling it to buy a crotch rocket Yamaha RD250LC.
      How many on here remember being able to ride 250s on L plates for as long as you liked?
      I have heard these don't like getting wet which is a bit of a worry.
