Great work! I've been using your scripts and it has made a huge difference when processing my images, thank you for all your work. I've been using my Seestar S50 capturing Eastern Veil nebula data. I have a little question, how do you sharpen (but not over sharpen)your image to get more detail in the wisps of the nebula. Thanks again.
Do you have BlurX or the free AstroSharp version? Beyond deconvolution you can aplly some mild unsharp mask, another thing i use all the time is LocalHistogramEqualization and show how to use it in my tutorial videos. Sometimes it isnt about sharpening but about bringing more localized contrast
@setiv2 I have BlurX, somewhere along the way I missed LocalHistagramEqualization which I started using immediately after you mentioned it 😅. I knew I was missing something, Thanks! It's just what I needed.
Hah! I went back to what I shot last month (www.astrobin.com/61qudc/) and I can easily see the planetary nebula you are talking about! I am planning at some point to reshoot the whole loop with the ASI294mm camera (6 panels). I won't get even close to the beautiful picture you shared, but it will be fun!
A great image! And a great presentation.
The sunlight through your blinds is an interesting effect. Spectacular image as always.
Good work !

Yes you can!
