COMPONENTS - DVG can be hit or miss for components, but David does great stuff with his games. The cards are fine, the tokens are nice, and the board is great.

As predicted, this review is much appreciated!! Thank you! I too wish there was a bit more variability in setup but I respect the the decision to be as true to the history of the event as it is possible to be.

I'm seeing shadows on the snow so that means clear skies and air support is available! lol
The RAF had a forward air controller on the ground with the army, who could liaise with the pilots and direct them to the targets.
Guess that maybe a bit OP for the game though! lol
    Great review as always Mike.

Hey Mike, was wondering is Castle Iter still your favourite in the series? Thanks

I think so, but PURELY because I like really fast games. Itter sets up the board as you play, which makes it easier to table than any of the other entries.
If you take that aspect out of it… I think Lanzerath might be my favorite. Though Postmen is maybe the best for a heavier experience.
Honestly, they are all good :)

Is it just a coinicidence that your review came out at the exact same time, by the hour, as Liz Davidson's?

So what happened was I realized a couple days ago that today is the anniversary of the battle of the bulge (totally an accident that the review was scheduled for that date).
I mentioned that to Liz on Wednesday I think, and she thought it would be fun to post hers on the same day.
So no, not an accident. I’d call it vaguely planned out :)
