Will the 3 years premium warranty get void if I upgrade S540 15 inch laptop with 8 GB Ram, , 1TB SSD and intel processor 11400 with compatible motherboard?
You can upgrade your ram without problems according to Lenovo's customer service. About the ssd and the network card you couldn't upgrade them under warrenty but if you follow my video and if you use an hairdryer to detach the seals, they won't notice.
I've upgraded my S540 14 inch with 16GB RAM DDR4 @2666Mhz - brand Puskill, in total 20GB. I've recently sometimes reached 94°C on my CPU i7 8565U and its use percent doesnt pass 50%, Is it normal? Can It because this upgrade, I must make a clean install of Windows 10? do you know something about it? thanks
Sorry if I made you wait so long. From what I know Intel has some "problems" with the installation of ram at different frequencies. Your CPU should support ram up to 2400 MHz, so hopefully your faster ram doesn't "waste" excess frequency by generating heat. Which part do you feel warmest? You could try reinstalling Windows but in my opinion that's not the problem. Let me know if you have already solved or how you will move.
@@marcoperrucci3682 Hi Marco, maybe it was an issue with Windows (maybe a malware or something like that, I think), I reinstalled the operating system and it works fine, thanks
@PHOENIX I installed the original 256GB drive in the second slot, in the first slot I installed the 500GB one and partitioned the disk in C: (500GB) and D: (256GB)
Thanks. Followed your video and wifi 6 (ax200) is working

What screwdriver did you use to unhook the SSD? I tried using Philips #00 and it didn't work
I used the same screwdriver and, with a bit (a lot) of strength I did it
