    The single stack 5 round magazines are the bane of the CZ 527. If the Ruger had been available I would not have paid more for the CZ. 7.62X39 is a great bolt gun caliber.

      I actually really wanted the CZ 527 but I waited too long to get one and once they were out of production I wasn't going to pay $1000-1300 for one. I'd still like to get one someday but we'll see.

    Received my magwell adapter today and installed it. The fit was excellent and very precise to the point of feeling slightly tight which I think is a good thing. The slightly elongated allen head screws supplied were the exact length needed. My only suggestion regarding installation is don't rush. Test thread the screws through the v- block and into the receiver before mounting the adapter and insure the adapter is fully seated in the stock.
    As far as operation goes with the Moe mags, it's really smooth. Rounds feed with more accuracy and less resistance. No wobble or wiggle with the mag. Tested it with 10 and 30rd Moe mags and functions very reliably.
    Overall, very happy with my purchase. Vast improvement over the Ruger factory mags.

      True, mini 30 10rd mags are total crap. Seems like when you get down to the last 3 or 4 rounds they nosedive and jam. I tried to fix the problem by using marine Tex to epoxy small aluminum blocks to the top rear of magazine to take out excessive play in the mag well and redrilled the hole for the mag spring attachment point more to the center on follower. Improved the feed issues. Hate to go through this process every time I need a new mag. Not to speak of the ridiculous cost of the mini 30 mags. This AK 47 conversion is the only way to go.

    • @kfsrmn
      @kfsrmn Год назад

      @@johnfowler6189 I found a fix for the mag but it requires modifying the follower. I sent a picture to Ruger. I modified 2 of mine for use in my Mini 30. 2 to go but it is too hot. Wish the Mini 30 took AK mags. The RAR 30 bolt runs much smoother with the AK Pmags.

      I’ve had a lot of requests for that, but I think it would take a lot more work to make that happen. The Mini rifles have some metal components that would need to be modified which means modifying the receiver which means having the actual firearm in my possession which boils down to needing an FFL.

    My quandary is a little different than what has be discussed; I have both an AK-47 and a PSA KS-47 so I have numerous mags in various sizes but I also have a couple, what I call, AR47s that take 7.62 Russian in the AR mag configuration again in different sizes. So do I try and get a AR mag well from Ruger (if they’ll sell me one-liability issue) or your product. Mini-30 mags are useless as I don’t plan on getting a mini30 anytime soon and don’t care to spend the money on more mags for just the single platform. As to the ruger being a cheap/ terrible POS, it’s my money I’ll spend it the way I want to, it’s suits my needs and intended purpose and I don’t care what people think I don’t owe anyone an explanation for what I do or spend my money. But to my original point, I have a good dilemma to be in, I have choices because of people’s vision, that’s what makes this country great. Peace.

  • @Madocthevindicator
    @Madocthevindicator Год назад

    That's a lot of work trying to improve a terrible "rifle". Those 399.00 guns are like cheap plastic imitation leather boots from China. Why would you want a AK mag in a bolt action anyway? It looks ridiculous and serves no purpose but to get in the way. Kind of like a 10 22 a kid would shoot. Can you hunt with a 30 rnd magazine your State?

    • @FireCastleCustoms720
      @FireCastleCustoms720  Год назад +19

      Not sure whether to answer or ignore you…. Terrible is relative, for a cheap price you get a rifle with an excellent barrel that is threaded, has a decent trigger that can be improved cheaply, and a decent picatinny mount. The stocks suck, but the rifle still shoots circles around a lot of more expensive guns. Why would I want an AK mag in a bolt gun? Because it feeds the 7.62x39 reliably which most other magazines do not, they’re cheap and available all over the USA. You do realize you can get something other than 30 rd magazines right??? A 10 rd is perfect in the rifle and the 20s are pretty handy for varmint hunting.
      I’ll say something your parents should of said to you… if you don’t have something nice or constructive to say and all you want to do is tear other people down to make yourself feel important…Then don’t open your mouth.
