The single stack 5 round magazines are the bane of the CZ 527. If the Ruger had been available I would not have paid more for the CZ. 7.62X39 is a great bolt gun caliber.
I actually really wanted the CZ 527 but I waited too long to get one and once they were out of production I wasn't going to pay $1000-1300 for one. I'd still like to get one someday but we'll see.
Received my magwell adapter today and installed it. The fit was excellent and very precise to the point of feeling slightly tight which I think is a good thing. The slightly elongated allen head screws supplied were the exact length needed. My only suggestion regarding installation is don't rush. Test thread the screws through the v- block and into the receiver before mounting the adapter and insure the adapter is fully seated in the stock. As far as operation goes with the Moe mags, it's really smooth. Rounds feed with more accuracy and less resistance. No wobble or wiggle with the mag. You converted my stock to the Pmags a while back and it works a bunch better than the Ruger mags. A lot cheaper too. Price of mags paid for the conversion. Ruger 10 round mags have serious flaw in the follower design. Wont even run reliably in my Mini 30
True, mini 30 10rd mags are total crap. Seems like when you get down to the last 3 or 4 rounds they nosedive and jam. I tried to fix the problem by using marine Tex to epoxy small aluminum blocks to the top rear of magazine to take out excessive play in the mag well and redrilled the hole for the mag spring attachment point more to the center on follower. Improved the feed issues. Hate to go through this process every time I need a new mag. Not to speak of the ridiculous cost of the mini 30 mags. This AK 47 conversion is the only way to go.

I’ve had a lot of requests for that, but I think it would take a lot more work to make that happen. The Mini rifles have some metal components that would need to be modified which means modifying the receiver which means having the actual firearm in my possession which boils down to needing an FFL.
My quandary is a little different than what has be discussed; I have both an AK-47 and a PSA KS-47 so I have numerous mags in various sizes but I also have a couple, what I call, AR47s that take 7.62 Russian in the AR mag configuration again in different sizes. So do I try and get a AR mag well from Ruger (if they’ll sell me one-liability issue) or your product. Mini-30 mags are useless as I don’t plan on getting a mini30 anytime soon and don’t care to spend the money on more mags for just the single platform. As to the ruger being a cheap/ terrible POS, it’s my money I’ll spend it the way I want to, it’s suits my needs and intended purpose and I don’t care what people think I don’t owe anyone an explanation for what I do or spend my money. Do you notice a big difference between the Magpul AK mag, vs the Mini-30 mags when cycling actual ammo? I also have the 5.56 Ranch Rifle, and find the polymer mags seem smoother.
My original Mini-30 mag wouldn’t feed unless I manually held the front of the magazine up. With the Magpul mags my rifle feeds smoothly enough for my youngest son to shoot the rifle if he puts some force behind it. The times I’ve tried using my metal Ak mags if definitely needed more force to run.
Hey Neil, Living in the People's Republic of Commie-laRado I don't have access to a lot of the 30rd magazines, I've got a few Korean KCI mags and after the latest revisions I've made they function well.
