Dark Empire was a comic series from 1988, it was some of the first expanded media content we ever got that took place after the OT. Palpatine is alive, Luke wants to battle the darkside internally like his father so he joins the Emperor, Palpatine gets cloned into a young body, it's a pretty crazy storyline lol. It's also peak Luke power, like blaster bolts just magically reflect off his skin and he can crush AT-AT's with the force. Power levels are really high. That Last Jedi scene with all the AT-AT's firing at Luke was ripped straight from these comics. Rise of Skywalker was pretty much a super sloppy retelling of Dark Empire. Like, right down to the ending lol.

I couldn’t have ordered that Maul fast enough! Not too long ago I had be thinking of getting one from eBay but so happy I held out for the 2.0! He looks AMAZING!

Yea pretty much. And I’m pretty sure people are willing to pay more for the rooted hair, similar to how it is with InArt. Wish they gave another bonus such as real leather on all of the artisans, missed opportunity imo
Yeah this is a must have for those who missed out Maul like me 🙂 The only thing I hate about this one is pleather on the waist 😮💨 I mean they could have just made with solid robbery material like Revan(Straps on the torso armor)
As far as best May 4th ever is definitely Up For Debate considering that for the past 2 weeks they have hit us with some excellent figures to be 2.0 re-release and reveal but I definitely can say and I think everyone would agree these announcements this year is way better than last year it pretty much has been a large variety of new and up-and-coming
This Darkside event is 🔥 Great releases! Revan, Starkiller and Maul with Speeder are coming home. That new Luke looks great, but I don’t know enough about that storyline…

I would say 2022 may trump it personally. But the Darth Maul even while being a reissue parts is exquisite! Starkiller and Revan were both top tier as well
This Maul 2.0 is insane. The sculpt is vastly improved on an already great sculpt. Not sure I want the speeder or not due to cost and space. I'd call it a proper 2.0 because the sculpt is different with better paint apps, vehicle is LED lit, USB lightsaber, and the robes are actually changed to fit better. I'm hoping they're not done with announcements. I want a 2.0 Dooku, Sidious on his throne, Qui-gon, and many more. Keep it coming Hot Toys!

I'm really pumped & very hyped for the new Dark Empire Luke figure. I genuinely thought it would end up in Howard Chan's figure graveyard like Will said. Sure, some people probably don't like the Artisan hair for Luke, but to me it looks just fine and I don't see any problems or issues with it. Even the sculpted version looks just as amazing. Also, I really enjoyed your Starkiller video and I hope to see you make more in the future & you could do Darth Revan for the next Star Wars Character Breakdown vid. Luke Skywalker is definitely a pass for me I like the character but I don't need to own every single thing from Luke Skywalker and I much more prefer original trilogy with Luke Skywalker seeing that they made an artisan out of this gives me hope that they would create Farm Boy Luke Skywalker there's there's no reason for them not to and we may get a Artisan from that as well if the short rooted Hair Works
Of anything that Star Wars could have given people Darth Maul was my number one cuz that is the best way to start out this anniversary Line This deluxe version with the speaker back is a day one pre-order for me but I might pick up the other Mall because I want the other one to be with his bike and this other one is going to go with the other Maulalorians figures what is definitely a must-have for me I have always wanted one I refused to get the one from solo so I'm glad that my patience paid off

I knew they were going to give us a clone trooper because that's almost a guarantee but here is my thing I'm not a clone collector I'm more of a trooper collector but why is it they have to do the same one over and over again and they are other different types of clones out there that haven't been created and they shouldn't have made this an exclusive considering that all these type of chrome exclusives all have gone to the Bargain Bin and this one is going to be joining the other one that they have done now this one with the goal although it will look unique on a shelf it pretty much looks like a trophy that somebody would get to congratulate them for having the best Clone Trooper collection
This May 4th is very mid. 2.0, Luke cosplaying/kitbashing with his daddy’s diaper pants, gold trooper and only 1 genuine new figure. I’m not counting Starkiller and Revan as part of May 4th since that was tail end of April
That’s totally valid man, I’d say if you take out Revan and Starkiller it isn’t so good. But I’d count both since it’s all part of the “Darkside” event 🙌 thanks for watching!
