That message was to us, the players, not the character Nero. I assume they’ll have cameos, and be playable in special editions or after the game is beaten, but they aren’t going to be the main focal point of the games/story anymore. Nero is.
To be fair, it's not the first time Dante was trapped in the Demon World. @@kylebeguhl8516 I honestly think Nero at least earned main protagonist along side them most definitely, he was honestly my favorite character story wise, and the way he grew and matured from 4 to being the one who finally ends Dante and Vergil’s rivalry through love is extremely powerful and brings home one of the main themes of the series, that bring love.
@@Rebellions Dante has signs of age especially with his speed in combat, it is clear they're not going to live as long their father and I'm not sure if the Qluipoth Fruit will help Vergil with that, you can even see some faint cracks or spider viens on his face in that face shot so it obviously only helped heal his body and give him more time to live again.

I wanna see Dante and vergil and nero take on Mundus. You gotta remember Mundus wasn't ever killed in the first one. Just pushed back to the demon world. So it'd be awesome to end devil may cry 6 with Mundus being the final boss.
It would also be cool to get a prequel where you can play as sparda and see the story around him

A lot of the love for OWA comes from nostalgia, and also appreciation of video game music during a time when games will still very comparatively simple.

This is vergil moving past his childhood trauma after realizing he wasted his life persueing power. That there was another way personified by his brother

That was Vergil making a declaration that he 100% believes in his way but despite that conviction, still has a slight curiosity to wonder if Dante's way of life and mindset is truly better than his own, seeing as how his choices didn't lead him to all the strife Vergil went through with Mundus, body breaking down, separation from his humanity, etc. That's why he needs to not only fight but beat him in order to see if the path he WILLINGLY chose and life philosophy is really the definitive choice to make, that it was all worth it.
