    SABUDANA KHICHDI
    Preparation time:10 minutes
    Soaking time: Overnight
    Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
    Serving: 2
    Ingredients
    3 tbsp Ghee (घी)
    1 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)
    1 inch Ginger - crushed (अदरक)
    1 fresh Green Chilli - crushed (हरी मिर्च)
    1 sprig Curry Leaves (कड़ी पत्ता)
    2 medium Potatoes - boiled & medium diced (आलू)
    ¼ cup Peanut - crushed (मूंगफली)
    Rock Salt to taste (सेंधा नमक स्वादानुसार)
    1 cup Sago - soaked (साबूदाना)
    ½ tsp Sugar (शक्कर)
    1 tbsp Coriander Leaves - chopped (धनिया पत्ता)
    For Garnish
    Fresh Coriander Leaves (धनिया पत्ता)
    Lemon wedges (नींबू)
    Process
    In a kadai heat ghee and add cumin seeds, let them crackle then add the ginger, green chilli, curry leaves and potatoes saute it for 2 minutes.
    Now add the peanut and saute for a minute and then add the soaked sago some sugar and cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
    Remove the lid and sprinkle some water and again cover and cook for 2 minutes.
    Remove the lid and add coriander leaves and mix everything properly.
    Switch off the flames and garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges.

    आपके घर मे खलबत्ता (जिसमे आप मुंगफली कुटते हो ) देखके मेरी नानी की याद आ गयी. घरमे मिक्सी होने के बावजुद भी नानी खलबत्ता इस्तेमाल करती थी. उनकी श्रद्धा थी की खलबत्ते मे कुटने से स्वाद बडा अच्छा आता है.

    I got my mumma watch this and she was nodding her head through out as if Chef was talking to her.
    She watched it cover to cover (which is really surprising to me) and jaate jaate keh gayi "inse hi dekhna toh kaise 'kaanji vada' banti hai"❤️ Chef if you are seeing this, please post a video on kanji vada - my mother really wants to make it though she tried previously but didn't get it the right way. 😅😅

    I love these Namak danis and miss this Indian Dabri sota 👌💐 Yes we can eat ginged, tomato, chia seeds, sesame, all tree nuts. Nowdays people have started eating bottle gourd /gheeya and palak. My mom used to fast on "Laung elaichi joda" years ago. And She used to break her fast after sunset (with sawank khichdi and dahi)
