Your commentating voice and annunciation is so clear I had to double check at the start of the video whether this was official anet content or not. Very easy to follow guide, thank you!
Did this strike three times today and found if no one stands in the green people only took 1000 damage and if people stacked damage went up drastically. We also focused the ritualist then mindblade then enforcer. For us that seemed to work best. I will test the green circle again tomorrow and see if we were mistaken or correct.
I kind of hate that this strike is tied to the turtle. It's very difficult for people who just aren't that great at combat and nobody wants to drag a team down. I could understand if it were tied to new legendary weapons since those aren't something everybody makes but the turtle, they promoted this expansions with the turtle, of course everyone's going to want a turtle. So now you have teams filled with noobs who try over and over again and they're being carried by other players who are better at strikes. Doesn't feel great for either side.
@@KROOF could you elaborate why? Do you like it because it leads more casual players to more advanced content? I like the strike overall, don't get me wrong, I just don't like content this difficult being tied to something everyone's going to want to do, something that was so hyped up in the promos. As a disabled person I always think of other disabled people for whom mastering a build or spending an hour on a single event might not be a possibility, that's where I was going with my initial comment.
@@johnpratts2856 I also agree, this was some of my most frustrating time playing Guild Wars trying to do this strike mission. It took me about 10 attempts spread out over 3 days to succeed. most attempts failed during second Li phase with the bombs. Only two times did we make it to Sniper and Mech phase and one of those was the successful run. I have done Fractals before and they are manageable but Strikes feel much harder and it kind of ruined my experience with the game I was enjoying the new expansion but I now feel really burned out from throwing myself at this strike over and over again. The funny thing is I hardly used the Turtle since I unlocked it.
@@1norwood1 The turtle is nice. But yeah, it's borderline useless most of the time. It's only good thing is its Mastery abilities, making your other mounts tankier. I'm still stuck on this Strike.
Do you have to finish story to unlock this strike mission? I kind of skipped ahead for the turtle and did the meta and everything else required but I can't seem to find the strike mission. The guy in Arborstone only has 1 Strike available and also says I can only relive moments from my past. I assume that means I haven't unlocked the ability to do this yet but am wondering if there is a way? Thanks in the mean time ill keep working through the story.
Someone on reddit said that when Li targets the three players, his attack doesn't hurt them, it only hurts others caught in the attack. Is that true? Or do you still have to dodge/block if you have a number above you?
Yes you should still dodge. When I have played I get a "Evade" notification which typically indicates damage dodged. So... I imagine it does strike you.
What about the green circle mechanic of Minister Li after the defeat of the Sniper and Jade Mech? Awesome guide btw. Your EoD strike guides are very helpful understanding what's goin on.
Tried this for the first time last night in a pug. We couldn't get past Li's middle phase. Crowding everyone in the corner behind him made it hard to dodge the circle AoEs without 3 or 4 people going down. It seems like they last a little longer than they should, so I know I was dodging too early.
One of the easier strikes. My team down to 2 people - me as willbender and a SB. We two fought his last 25% and beat him much easier than as large group though it took abit longer. He's too predictable and has little coverage behind his back.

I’m sorry you feel that way.
… I love it and think it’s the smartest thing GW2 has done in a long time.

Yeah to personally unlock it you have to do story, but you can join on any group in the LFG regardless if you have completed it or not.
thank you for guide. was rly informative. xD
Thank you so much, that is great to hear!

Yes yes that does spawn,
But it’s no different than the others.

Yeee you gotta dodge the slashes first and spread out 😩
This strike sux I can't see the arrow so small.

I’m excited to see the challenge mode - I imagine it will be quite hectic.
