jeep is heavier then mc claren but to keep up with it it must be fast

Do you guys not watch and listen? The second race the Jeep driver was launching based on the McLaren's launch. Third race was supposed to be the McLaren launching when he sees the Jeep move off but he couldn't engage launch control. Regardless if the Jeep had gotten that chance to launch first the McLaren would've beat him with launch control on.

The weight transfer to the rear wheels on the Jeep is pretty amazing
It's AWD and doesn't need weight transfer.🙂

Not bad when you figure it probably weighs near 1000 pounds more and is about as aerodynamic as a cube. Got to love that Roar off the line. The Jeep is working so hard against the winds after about 75 miles per hour.
After about 1mph all vehicles are fighting our air density.
You got to love the sound of that american V8.
It looks quite innocent - guess looks are very tricky , especially in a family car - end up being a hell raiser .

The best part about this video is that unlike other drag race videos this isn't 17 min long video for a 400 m race. 4 mins is more than enough to show 3 drag races Imo.

I have the same engine in a 10" lifted Jeep Commander on 35's with 5:13 gears. It weighs 6,500 lbs and still pulls on everything I meet. And yep they do sound great. Mine has deleted cats and resonators at the rear.

Literally there’s a Mclaren dealership 3 mins from my crap studio apartment; I both love it & hate how much more poor it makes me feel daily! If I had to choose & had enough $$ I’d take the Track Hawk, simply too ocd to park a masterpiece like the 600 in a typical parking lot/potential tight space (same w the Jeep honestly but I’d deal w it)

I'm here after seeing what I assume to be a Trackhawk accelerate from about 30 to 50+ mph in a next to no time as a light turned red. It was a sight to behold. Never seen acceleration like it from any car.

That Trackhawk is a beast. The roar is insane.
Important thing seems like this could be applied to the hybrid system right? . You just gotta loop the electric torque assist motor of the typical Prius hybrid back to the kickstart-up and itintial takeoff, instead of having it kick in mid-cruise. In fact I'm gonna try that - EV mode for startup, THEN regular hybrid mode. Thanks!

They aren't as bad on gas as my Hemi Jeep Commander. I get 11 hwy and 9 city.
Not bad for 1k to the crank just imagine if that were to the wheels like a few TrackHawk out there... you could give 1 and the go to the 600lt and the jeep would still win in the 1/4

Pretty sure you guys figured it out by now but they couldn’t use launch control in the Trackhawk because it’s unavailable until you reach 500 miles in the car

Dont think it fails. Probably a fail switch
not a fail, just limiting launch control for a cool down. Most supercars do this except for Porsche's indestructible PDK launch control.

Honestly for the weight difference between these two cars the Jeep did amazing
The McLaren is literally designed to be light and to race weighing around 2700lbs
On the other hand the jeep is designed for more practical use/daily driving and weighs about 5,300 and still kept up with the McLaren pretty well
