She very quickly rose to the top 5 of my list of favorite actors. Can't put my finger on exactly why, but there's something about her voice and composure that feels restrained yet very natural. I just love her acting.
What a brilliant actress and truly historian for native people. Her work in this film was so grounded and deep, I’m really happy to she was the one to tell this story and hope to see more of her (and others) telling these type of bipoc stories. Loved this interview.
Thank you for this wonderful conversation with Lily Gladstone. I appreciate her depth. Lily’s reference to Trickster stories really made sense in thinking about the character of Ernest. I read the Nanabosho Series of books by Joe McLellan with my son after meeting the author in Winnipeg; Nanabosho stories are Trickster stories. Here in Washington we are so proud of Lily Gladstone.
Interesting interview that only made me wish some of the stuff in the movie was less convoluted and more spelled out. The guardianship system that she talks about, for instance, and the matriarchal ways of the Osage. The insulin mixed with arsenic and morphine. All you needed was one camera shot of two bottles, one marked "Morphine", the other "Arsenic". The ways Osage process grief. All this stuff was very handy for the next time i watch the movie!
She’s the best thing in this misguided film in spite of being stripped of all agency. This film is a paean to the goddam FBI … a colonizer’s wet dream. Gladstone , miraculously, via facial expression alone, manages to bring great dignity to a role that is horrendously underwritten. She is much better served in Reservation Dogs and Certain Women. There, she shines like the sun.
18:50 molly zblindspot where ernest could hide {in plain sight} #trickster , i get that... i did get the sense that there was more than love that drew molly in but also a curiosity to want to experience the virtual familiar with a real life go at it
Her interviews are my favorite. It's wonderful to hear her thoughts and see how intelligent and well-spoken she is.

Wise and smart. She can talk endlessly and I could listen endlessly. Where are people like that? I miss clever, interesting people.
She's really a wealth of knowledge. Articulate, insightful, generous and such a soothing presence.
Just want Killers of the flowers Moon she deserves the Oscar 🎉🎉🎉
