The N95 is still really comparable to the basic, cheap phones of today. It was really impressive when it came out. The photo from it is still pretty good considering the age!
Thanks Andrew for taking time to bring this thing back to life, also i really appreciate how you explain all the little details in all of your videos it helps me learn the process even better, thank you for everything that you do and continue to do the things like you are doing, have a nice day!!
I had classic version back in the day - one of the best phones i've ever had. Early iphones and android phones was great too - it was very original at the time. Who would guess that nothing will change after that for 15 years, and every phone will be the same as any other.
I have two Nokia E7-00 i picked up at a flea market , never tried putting a sim card in as i thought Symbian would not work . Have to give them a try when i get back to Kharkiv . this phone turned out really well . Nokia build quality is something else , they knew / know how to build phones
Andrew you did pretty amazing work for these nostalgic devices, I almost drop tears when I heard the Nokia startup sound. Keep going man, thank you very much.
My English teacher had a classic Nokia N95. Not the 8 GB version. Aah ! We used to play games, navigation maps, I was a school kid back then... Brother, you have made me nostalgic....🥰🥰🥰🥰
ive had this phone all way back 2007 . i got exactly 8GB version and my mind blow me away how good phone is. it lasted me till 2015 and swapped to Smarthphone because some apps seems stopped working out of nowehere. like youtube for example.
You really took me back to the time I owned the Nokia N95 and the N95 8GB model. I still believe that Nokia should not have given up on the Symbian OS. It could have evolved alongside iOS and Android OS. It's the same as with RIM ditching their BB OS10 for Android OS. These legacy OS were amazing. They ruled the mobile OS space. However they got stuck in their ways and this is where iOS and Android saw the gap and went for it.
Yeah! Althought other OS's like Sailfish OS are still getting updates, alongside Ubuntu Touch OS, Harmony OS, KaiOS, and even stuff like running a lightweight edition of Windows 11 with less features om supported devices, that one is called Tiny 11, i think!
Still have this phone 3 of them (this model) But my best super phone was Nokia N96.... When I get Nokia N97 all girls in my class was mine.... :D oh those old good times.... Love IT!
It really brings back memories and it's really cool to see this phone after so many years, it is still a very beautiful device... You really did a good job restoring it and any other old device you have restored.🙂🙂
Damnit feels nostalgia after watching fixing the Nokia phone, it brings back memories when I was a kid that I always borrowed that kind of phone from my father since year 2006
perhaps my favorite phone ever. With a few hacks it was a great emulator for SNES and Genesis games evne with the not ideal controls. Camera was phenomenal at the time.
Nice job! But you have wrong battery. That BL-5F is regular N95 battery. 8GB version have BL-6F. It is slightly thicker than BL-5F and have more capacity.
perfect what you do to the nokia n95 I have one but not so dirty gives ideas on how to disassemble it I like your videos follow so Andrew a faithful follower of yours from Spain
Good job but one small comment. In 9:45 in the video you said that n95 series was last of the line which is not true because there were sucessors like n96, n97 and n98
Thank youu bro :D, I mean Last of the line as device to remember. The N96 it's more like N85 and N97 is different symbian edition S60v5. The N95 is s60v3 and has better graphics processor.
I miss java games... played a lot of java games in nokia 6600
Java.. gonna wait for someone to play something like Minecraft java edition on it
I did on N73
Real legend man, still near my heart ❤❤
Oh This Brings me Back, I love those 2D versions of Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia ww.

Old OS better than new OS
Only Nokia lovers would understand that 😢
