I'm in the process if putting my dad to rest. Earlier in the year I borrowed some of his tackle when i started to get into fishing again. He had all these blade baits and i snagged and lost a few and ultimately gave up on them (thought they were for trolling and i'm a bank fisherman). His 61st birthday is coming up December 30th and after watching this video i've decided to slay a midwest winter bass on his birthday in honor of him.
Go the blades. I jig them when I find a school in deep water or troll them from the yak. Awesome to see they are getting some recognition. They are a really versatile bait.
*I love it **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I’m using it for my 1.0 Crankbaits and small Jerkbait. Paired with my Assassin. Works great, feels great. Would definitely recommend this setup.*

Holy crap i have one of those blaze baits and i got it cause it looked like a dumb lure and this morning i saw ur vid and tried it out at my local golf coarse bond and caught 5 1 pound bass in 30 mins thanks 1rod

Both can be fished by “yo-yoing” but for some reason when I’m trying to imitate a dying shad in the winter the blade bait produces better. Maybe the rattles aren’t as effective in cold water or the vibration from the blade is more enticing in cold weather

Caught a 4 pounder 2 days ago here same technique. Dead low tide super windy. She ate it as I was pulling it out the water. There are some decent ponds not too far from the park if you ever come back!
The cicada is our go to for giant flatheads in the coldest weather! 86lb is our biggest so far that we can weigh. You can order them in 3/4 and 1oz sizes. Find the deepest hole set up and jig! Works unbelievably well!!!
Pro tip: when goose hunting on a frozen lake instead of cutting a giant hole in the ice to open up the water for a landing spot, put out a blue tarp. It works like a charm.

Dude, that’s my spot haha. I fish there all the time. There’s a good spot down in Elk Neck Park by Turkey Point that we kill stripers at. If you go to turkey point like you’re going to the lighthouse, walk down the path 1/4 mile and down to the right through the trees down to the water you can fish the flats. Such an awesome spot and 20 minutes down the road from where you’re at in this vid.
in Ontario i caught a 2 pound catfish and a 7 pound largie it was ontario big mink lake i recomend ityou can catch like 20 pound lake trout smallies catfish largies pumpkin seed rock bass some times chub and shads. you should really go :)
Try fishing at tobey pond in Norfolk Connecticut. I was fishing today and hooked a 6 pounder on a good old pumpkin green yamasenko, but sadly it broke off. Awesome place to fish

I took a break from fishing. When you get back into it you really know what you were were missing
Quick tip: get your blade baits from internet since they are a lot cheaper and when u are snagged no worries! Not much to loose
