Also, you mentioned that near the end about selling to a European market requires different legal notice pertaining to data collection than selling to a US market. Does this mean that one has to choose one or the other to sell to (EU or US), or is it possible to sell to both? How does that work with the data collection notice? Thanks for all the information! Hi Chris! 1) It is currently $39/month I believe, but when you first join they currently have a promo where for 3 months, you'll just get charged $1 per month. After those 3 months, it'll then switch to $39/month 2) No you can sell to both! It's just you'll want to switch on that privacy setting if you plan to sell to Europe, whereas you don't need to switch it on and have that cookie banner pop-up if you just sell to the USA, the banner warning you about collecting cookies that you see around the internet on most pages is there because of the EU legal requirements.

Is it just another way for them to use product routing. I am not sure about not having any idea about which printer will actually be creating the t-shirt but the prices are certainly better. I also like the idea they might use a printer closer to the customer. I just worry about the quality, I did a sample order with printify and the shirt was nice but will they always be. If printify charges me the full amount as soon as a product is ordered, what happens if you get alot of orders but can't cover it? Using a credit card seems crazy because I'm just paying twice? Unless they only take out like a dollar as a "hold". Which would make the most sense. But probably not how it works.
Why would you be paying twice? About covering the cost of orders: if you pay Printify using a credit card, you will receive the customer's money before your credit card bill is due, so you will have the money to cover it.

Here's a question that's probably not easy to answer but I think everyone needs to do so before starting up a business like this. What have you found limits you from selling around the world vs your own country? like do you have a tax pro telling you where you can/can't sell? do you recommend any service for that? most accountants don't do multinational work like this.

You mentioned 2 suppliers that you would use is there a video with other suppliers you recommend, can you set it to a supplier in a specific country example if the buyer is in Aussie it ships from Aussie, if they are in the US it ships from 😊. Hey, I am living in New Zealand. I am trying to deal with the country of tax residence on printify, but Ne Zealand does not seem to on there. I have checked the website, and apparently New Zealand was added as a tax zone to printify in 2022.
I'm not quite sure if I understand what your issue is, I'm sorry. I might have misunderstood, but I think you might have mixed up the sales tax issue in Printify. So, Printify doesn't have anywhere for you to upload your NZ tax status, because Printify has no suppliers in New Zealand. Instead, what Printify wants is for you to upload your tax status documents for the country/region that you're buying from. So for Monster Digital, they are in Miami. What they want is for you to upload your resellers tax certificate (which can be applied for online) in Miami, not New Zealand, because it is Miami which waives the sales tax, not New Zealand. However, you don't need this. It just makes your items a little cheaper, since is you get a resellers tax certificate, it will allow you to waive the sales tax. But it's also not required and you can just pay the little extra and get up & running now, and worry about it later 🌞 I'm not an accountant though, and so I can't give any official tax advice. I usually don't talk about taxes as I'm not a qualified accountant. Please don't take anything I say as tax advice as I'm not a registered accountant 🙏
I absolutely ship internationally! Definitely worth it. I am not qualified to talk about tax stuff, but it's not that hard at all. With the EU they have a treaty setup which makes it much easier, I recommend chatting to an accountant. And you can always choose to skip the EU and just ship internationally to countries with much more lax internatiinal sales tax requirements (like Australia, NZ and Canada)

If printify charges me the full amount as soon as a product is ordered, what happens if you get alot of orders but can't cover it? Using a credit card seems crazy because I'm just paying twice? Unless they only take out like a dollar as a "hold". Which would make the most sense. But probably not how it works.
Why would you be paying twice? About covering the cost of orders: if you pay Printify using a credit card, you will receive the customer's money before your credit card bill is due, so you will have the money to cover it.

this video is great however i see it was posted two weeks ago, and yet shopify theme doesn't have all the settings that you do in your video. i can only do the logo, favicon, background color, social media links, and a description. that's it. i can't find it hiding anywhere else either. i have looked everywhere.
Printify is okay, but now their shipping fees are quite high.
Is setting up the shipping between Printify and Shopify really that that easy? I saw a video making it seem more complicated but it was a 2 year old video.

After quite some hesitation (and all the pandemic and blablabla) finally building some Patreon and/or BuyMeACoffee page delivering some art of my own and then going for some POD page for actual apparel and souvenir items for sale. I may be looking for some trademark/copyright advice as well for protecting my works. This is super helpful. Just to be clear...the PlaceIt mockup is not the shirt that is offered on Printify? An what if the colors to try and match the Printify shirt are not matching? Here's a question that's probably not easy to answer but I think everyone needs to do so before starting up a business like this. What have you found limits you from selling around the world vs your own country? like do you have a tax pro telling you where you can/can't sell? do you recommend any service for that? most accountants don't do multinational work like this.

I'm not sure the question, sorry? You don't have to only sell products with Printify, you can add in your own products too, they work just the same 🙏
You mentioned 2 suppliers that you would use is there a video with other suppliers you recommend, can you set it to a supplier in a specific country example if the buyer is in Aussie it ships from Aussie, if they are in the US it ships from 😊. I may have missed it but do you select which countries you sell to, just thinking of the extra declarations you mentioned for the EU.

Hey, I am living in New Zealand. I am trying to deal with the country of tax residence on printify, but Ne Zealand does not seem to on there. I have checked the website, and apparently New Zealand was added as a tax zone to printify in 2022.
I'm not quite sure if I understand what your issue is, I'm sorry. I might have misunderstood, but I think you might have mixed up the sales tax issue in Printify.
So, Printify doesn't have anywhere for you to upload your NZ tax status, because Printify has no suppliers in New Zealand.
Instead, what Printify wants is for you to upload your tax status documents for the country/region that you're buying from. So for Monster Digital, they are in Miami. What they want is for you to upload your resellers tax certificate (which can be applied for online) in Miami, not New Zealand, because it is Miami which waives the sales tax, not New Zealand. However, you don't need this. It just makes your items a little cheaper, since is you get a resellers tax certificate, it will allow you to waive the sales tax. But it's also not required and you can just pay the little extra and get up & running now, and worry about it later 🌞
I'm not an accountant though, and so I can't give any official tax advice. I usually don't talk about taxes as I'm not a qualified accountant. Please don't take anything I say as tax advice as I'm not a registered accountant 🙏

I absolutely ship internationally! Definitely worth it. I am not qualified to talk about tax stuff, but it's not that hard at all. With the EU they have a treaty setup which makes it much easier, I recommend chatting to an accountant. And you can always choose to skip the EU and just ship internationally to countries with much more lax internatiinal sales tax requirements (like Australia, NZ and Canada)
