I think you get grief about Hermes from those that are still on their “journey” and have not woken up yet to the complete marketing scam it is in reality. I love that you found a way to get the items you want without being treated like a school child by Hermes. Your experience and the way people reacted really showed me the level their marketing has worked. One day people will question how they convinced people to spend thousands for the privilege to be offered to buy more 😂

I am not on the 'Hermes journey' and have no interest in going through it btw, so don't interpret this as Hermes ass-kissing. But buying resale is still paying into the demand/market for Hermes. Basic economics here. You're not sticking it to them by going through resale, you are still contributing to their 'clout' and demand, especially by promoting these hauls on social media. If you were sooo hurt by Hermes, you would not contribute further to their brand image by doing H related content. Because if it is secondhand, you are still promoting their products by essentially saying to the public that they are 'worth it,' so much so that you'd pay above retail for a pre-owned object. It's mental gymnastics, and the exact people that their marketing is working on is YOU

I bought the same Evelyn about 1-2 years ago? Except with silver hardware and it hasn’t even made it out of the house yet 😅 I realized it’s not really my style and a bit big for me. I wish I had waited & got something else or asked for a smaller size like TPM. But not much I can do now so it just sits in a dust bag lol

I have 2 of the Evelyns… TGM and PM, unfortunately, I rarely used the PM as I am quite short and my strap does is not adjustable…. The TGM has a shorter strap and fits perfectly. Have a feeling it would be too short for taller people.
The adjustable straps are not available and are pretty expensive.
Anyway, right now nobody carries Hermes bags in LA bc of the thefts. Hermès and Rolex are the brands that is in demand by thugs….

I'm thinking to film a video about how I personally protect myself or at least be proactive in improving my security with luxury goods. I feel that could be somewhat helpful but it's still going to not apply in all cases because I know in some states in USA it's very much out of control... i hope next year things get better over there 2024...

Never and they won't I already know from insider knowledge that the ppl at the top corporate in aus personally do not like me so it will never happen. That's ok though because I save wayyyy more going resale since here in aus the normal for offers of the sizes I like (20,25 neutrals ghw) is at least 3:1 spend and typically 5:1 spend . So it costs just way too much here to get the desired spec in contrast to resale prices I find my bags for and the fact I also get all my other stuff under rrp too🤣
