- In this episode we go behind the scenes of NDTVi Pattaya's Sunday Night Live show. We make some preparations for the appearance by getting a hair cut and checking into our hotel. After a dip in the pool, we enjoy dinner with a new friend and then head out to the show and take a look at the goings on behind the scenes. Although there are technical problems which force the show to air later than expected, it eventually gets back on track and goes Live. The following morning we enjoy a breakfast and a walk around Pattaya. Enjoy the Ride!

Great to see the community coming together there. That's the catch with Pattaya, its great when there aren't a lot of people there, but a lot of people there is what allows Pattaya as we like it to exist. Hope to be able to make it back in February without a 14 day quarantine somewhere, fingers crossed. Until then looking forward to the birthday bash and wish you and yours all the best! Cheers! :)

I have stayed at the Vogue hotel. It was great. It was very quiet and enjoyable. Only real noise was an occasional siren from an ambulance. The hospital is close to the backside of the hotel. When I checked in. I put my bags down, went to the restroom, and to my suprise there was a man on my balcony. His face was covered. For a second I thought something was wrong. Then I saw his paint brush. There were workmen dangling off ropes repainting the building. Great area just off Soi Lengkee close to 3rd road. Soi Chiapoon is 1 block away. Very close to Soi Bukahou. Great resturants and bars in the area. LK metro is a short walk. I would definitely stay again.

There are actually three pools at the Vouge Hotel. I stayed there last year and was scheduled to stay again in May. Nice place. Well situated but quiet
Yes 3 pools as you said Peter. Whenever I go Pattaya I only stay in Vogue hotel cos it’s quiet and easy to reach all of central Pattaya 👍👍🇬🇧

It's been a few years but the best pancakes I ever had in Pattaya were at the restaurant inside the Penthouse hotel on Soi 13/4. My buddy and I ordered the regular and banana pancakes and we thought they were better than IHOP back in the US.
Was weird to see Chuck without Paige. Anyway, thank you for another good video. Being a woman, I knew Vi wouldn't get in the pool after having her hair done and her hair turned out beautiful 😉😊

Great video...Lucas looking sharp in the new duds. The glimpse of the shirts you had done look great. Really something to again step up your game. You are the best channel out there. People have mentioned seeing another individual from his channel... I won't say his name... but he's a joke and you produce a far better product. Nuff said. I didn't watch the live stream... on to late ? But I did go back and look it up, watched your interview.. rest ...lost intrest on quickly... found the location of it to be ummm.. ok times are changing... leave it at that. I find it interesting you are pondering the idea of moving to Pattaya. Pattaya is dying... I really liked the clip shown from back in the 70's. That is the old Thailand of memory. Not a place anyone at the time actually wanted to live..may of jokingly said it was, but never seriously... Europeans who were there , well the country's location was a vacation / holiday place to them. For Americans not really unless you were military. Maybe civilian that lived in Korea, Japan or Okinawa... but otherwise no. I hope that Thailand completely rebuilds Pattaya as is being discussed. The days of old door to door bars and all that are gone. Time to clean up the streets and come to the modern day.. all the overhead wires, open sewer, run down buildings... cost of living will go up but it will be better for Thailand. Again I was there in the early 70's, and many times in my 30 years in the military. I have friends and family there from my late wife's side of the family . So I have a little bit of experience in Thailand. I really think it would be fantastic for Thailand to really clean up things and bring more of it to modern living. To all those who want the bar, red light district, dingy , same thing.. I say your losers and need to get a life. Anyway Lucas really enjoy your programs and much success to you.
Stayed at the Vogue, like you mentioned a bus tour hotel..did they not have their breakfast buffet? They had good pancakes, but like most no maple syrup..Cheap Charlie's eaten there a few times.. great behind the scenes of a live stream..jury is still out if Ndtvi's format is a good fit for a live show..cheers!

Hi Lucas, good blogg again, are you enjoying the peace & quite in Pattaya, . Cheap hotel bargain's, no drunken tourists, loverly clean beaches,. I would make the most of it, as when February 2021 , comes around if not before, then the chaos will return, good for local bars and business, bit not so for xpats living there. What you think?. I was eating my breakfast while you were eating that breakfast at that restaurant. I just happened to be eating pancakes I made from aunt Jemima mix with fresh banana and blueberries. I know you mentioned there's a place near where you live that has good pancakes but ive written them off in Thailand. In fact most breakfast joints are marked off because by the time you get it, the toast is cold and everything is too greasy...plus the orange juice (tang) is disgusting. I just go to McDonald's for a egg mcmuffin, which is always good.
Cheap Charlie’s on Bukhau i agree they have fairly good food, the restaurant you had pancakes in I think I have had a nice breakfast there last year,if it is the one opposite Opey De Place hotel.if you head down Bukhau past the hospital there is a Restaurant called Nickys. Saw Chuck from Notime2Bsad channel at the Assienda there. I've also eaten at the Devonshire last year as i stayed at the Opey De Place hotel right opposite.

I normally stay at R-Con Hotel and eat at that food court most evenings. I highly recommend the Kung Po Chicken. It's a great cheap place to eat with good quality food.
I definitely want a tee-shirt but as I'm I Korat I can't get there.

I'm a Brit but I like this chap ,Luke , as he's genuine . Not sure what was happening at the 'event'he went to , seemed a bit strange . I live a 2 hour drive from fun town , 18 years I've been making the pilgrimage but it looks decidally iffy now . Hard times as Dickens said .

Is the whole interview on RUclips somewhere? It sounded interesting, we are curious about when we can come back to Thailand. Our current trip planned for December may be pushed to March 2021, and so on if the world don't get back to some sense of normalcy.

Supposedly yes, but haven't tried that. The Agoda deals are just about as good.
I always get the other half to book if we want to go somewhere nice. It's almost criminal, the difference in price sometimes. We stayed in a lovely place in Ao Nang a couple of years ago for ฿1600 a night that would've been ฿2800 for me to book!

The live show is what happens when you overthink something and make what should be a simple lights, microphone and camera thing into a big production. K.I.S.S. TheVogue looks good...and I agree that Pattaya is prime right now for in-country travelers. A lot of places are much more enjoyable right now. I would like to make the party Sunday night but it's just a bit far for me and the Mrs.
Another good video Is it possible in future to say if the hotels you stay in are guest friendly - personally I think nick took his eye off the ball with his Chanel it used to be much more fun and easy going viewing

DPH hotels wise Mercure or grand Bella close to soi 7/6 just need to know if these 2 charge a fee for bringing girls back.

Seriously though, I do wonder when I see families and newly weds there. I wonder what they were sold on, and what they must think upon arrival. I think it's a shit hole, and I go there out of choice, but it's only to see a couple of friends for a night out or two, certainly not for the beach or its other "world class" amenities!! Just about anywhere else is Thailand is preferable unless you just want booze and birds.
When I was a young man visiting Pattaya I was always with the ladies of the night. I found myself staying away from the western hotels because the girls really don't like them. They don't like the air conditioning and they don't like Western food. it seemed like most of them enjoyed eating from the food courts. Anyway now that I'm 70 I think I would look a little stupid with a 22-year-old hanging on my arm. Your lifestyle is a little more proper. I think I would be the same now.
