Classic 60's Players Strat, with grey bottoms and SD HA 4 on bridge, Callaham inertia block, custom profiled neck, stainless steel jumbo frets, satin varnished fingerboard, custom shielded, etc etc.
It is getting closer and closer to the tone I am after; next upgrade will be titanium saddles, probably KTS. The playability is unbelievable compared to stock necks and unplugged really projects itself and sounds woody. The Callaham is a highly recommended upgrade to ANY guitar, except if you already have a titanium block. The guitar has lots more sustain, balance, intonation is much better due to enhanced harmonics, reduced tension due to increased total string length, and lots more.
I am using a BB preamp into a Digitech RP 355 for a bit of reverb, into a Laney VC30, amazing sounding amp for the money by the way.There is a EHX memory man in the amp loop I am playing at bedroom levels so the vid does not justice to the amp

But as far as effects and amplification, it goes into a BB preamp, controls about 12:00, except the master about 10:00, then into the underrated Digitech RP355, a simple patch with reverb, delay and noise gate, the effects are about 30%, so you hear mostly guitar tone, then straight into a Laney VC30, a great tube amp in my opinion, and very cheap!

Thank you for the comment. So far I've never got a bad sound out of the amp, IMHO. What I have been doing lately, to get an even better sound, I connect a Reyes output tamer between the speaker and amp. Its a great sounding attenuator and it was only £ 50 BP. This amp will not get that fizzyness you mentioned unless you have the bright switch on and some trebley effect on the input. It is a great amp for the price, so great I will get another one soon!!
Callaham machined tool steel for MIM Strat, 2-1/16 spacing. Highly recommended, specially if upgrading a zinc one.

Lord have mercy...I don't know what to say except I too just stumbled onto this, and your feel and tone makes me cry in the fetal position in the corner!! What amp/gear combo are you using to get that SICK SICK SICK SICK TONE!!!!! It's face melting!!! Please, please, please tell!!??

So is this a steel or titanium block?
