@Sparks I played years ago before having to take a break, and I don't remember it being this bad. I mean, I am using the SKS, 4x sight centered on someone at about 80-90m, shot misses. I mean, I watched the tracer and it looked like it went right through him. No hit indicator, though. He turns and fires once with his Mk11 and I'm down. So I go aim at a wall a out same distance, shot hits exactly where I had the sight. It's infuriating. Same with LMG. I can be on bipod and firing 10 round bursts and I know I'm on target, but maybe I'll get one hit. Vehicle .50 is the same. 8-10 round burst, I can see the tracers going all around him. The minigun is the worst, but at least it shows you the wild spread. So 2-3 second bursts on that gets some results. Idk why, but I just can't quit the game. BF5 is better, but I can never see anybody, spotting system blows, so I end up going 3-25 all the time. I can't fly, am barely passable in a tank. The only way I get kills is AA, and points are all from building or revives.
@mintygemini i was talking about gun animations and detail. in cod everyone is infantry so combat is fair and actually requires skill. if you use a tank or a heli to get 100 kills on infantry players you aren't good

I mean it depends what we’re talking because the game is not hit and point detection if you know what I mean. The bullets do take time to travel, which means if someone is running, often even at a close distance, you have to be aiming slightly ahead of the target. It’s a combination of this with latency that creates that dragging effect. This video was pretty bad though, I mean he should have managed to hit at least one shot but the game said no
I won my first game of Gunmaster recently and my ping was in the red the entire match. I think 4 people including me were trying to get the knife kill at the end.
I jumped into a game on Zavod 311 the other day, the enemy team had my team spawn trapped with a little bird that was doing 360 no propeller head shot kills and tanks and apcs seamlessly farming to no end. It was actually disgusting.
Oh, and for all of you who have this problem but wants to play anyways, I recommend high damage and low fire rate weapons like SCAR or ACE52. Higher fire rate makes hitreg worse when netcode is busted

Yeah when i started to play it yesterday i felt immidietly something was waaay off with the bullets missing people even tho the aim was clearly on the player when in ADS. Felt so fucking weird when i tried to hit enemies from like 10-60 meters and the aim was perfectly on them when in ADS but the bullets still didn't hit. Huge difference compared to todays shooters which im used to. This really just sucks.

This is the main reason I really don't like Gun Gameplay in Battlefield and primarily stick to vehicles: Using full auto on anything farther than close range is the worst thing you could do since after blowing an entire magazine into the enemy chances are he's still standing with 40 health.
I think I remember something like if you start firing before you aim in then your accuracy will be just as bad as if you are hip firing even while aimed in, so try and fire after you are fully aimed in. Or maybe it was because you just joined idk

Recently I downloaded it. Found a server with my favorite map (operation Lockerroom). And you know what? I've been killed because of "limit of snipers" then for "using shotgun". Such a cancer
yeah it looks like he didn't hit those hipfire shots, especially since there was a railing blocking a lot of them. Although when you slow it down he does have his crosshair pointed on him while aiming and the recoil doesn't seem to spread, so it's not 100 percent his fault

Completely agree. LMGs are so ass. I have sprayed 200 bullets down a hallway with 10+ people and gotten no hitmarkers at all. I think they have anti magnetism or some shit lol
As a support player, you can’t use LMGs like an assault rifle, with a bipod and a magnified optic they are a force to be reckoned with. Use it like how you would use an LMG IRL and you’ll get quite a bit of kills.
Same experience with Battlefield 4 here, even when it was a new game. Couldn't hit shit, ever. I picked up Battlefield 3 recently on Game Pass for PC and for such an old game it actually still looks and plays really well. Give BF3 a try.

For those wondering, there is an age old bug/‘thing’ in BF4 where the bullet spread is different when you’re hip-firing a weapon. This is important because the game could not (and still does not) tell when you scoped in, while hip firing, and so the bullet spread stays as the hip-fire model despite you being ADS (aim down sights / scoped in). Meaning that although you ADS and the bullets visually appear to be hitting him, they were in fact shooting all around him. A good way to combat this is to very briefly stop firing while you ADS (literally half a second will do), get the scope up, and then continue to fire. Admittedly BF4’s implementation is a little over the top, but the concept does hold some irl merit. THAT, and the hit reg in BF4 has always been terrible. It’s better in the 45Hz servers, but I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve seen my tank shells/rockets hit jets and helicopters, the shells/rockets explode on target but do LITERALLY zero damage. I completely understand the frustration
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Cosair was already dead.
I always play on 24/7 Locker servers and its ALWAYS the same: 1 squad full of tryhards in each team that carries the other 56 players on the server, they gun you down in just 1 sec. If you run around a corner meeting one of them their Ace 23 or Aek 971 is already pointing at your face and you're dead bevor you even knew he was there. They have their volume up to 200%, their face glued to the monitor and play like their life depends on it. At this point my only tactic is just to wait outside with my lovely M249 for the typical flankers who try to cap the farthest point away and try to clean up from behind. By killing these tryhards your team will win 100%, thank me later.
I have a clip of one of my first matches on operation locker and it’s in that stairwell, I put about 25 rounds into a guy that was behind the thin metal mesh and did 19 damage, he turned around and one tapped me with a shotgun.
Netcode is an issue but...if you begin hipfire and then ADS while still holding the trigger, weapon accuracy suffers greatly if I recall correctly. Battlefield 4 is one of those games that teach firing control rather than just spraying.

It is terrible if you have a slow cpu. For some reason, hit reg is extremely reliant on your cpu speed.

I have a clip of one of my first matches on operation locker and it’s in that stairwell, I put about 25 rounds into a guy that was behind the thin metal mesh and did 19 damage, he turned around and one tapped me with a shotgun.

Netcode is an issue but...if you begin hipfire and then ADS while still holding the trigger, weapon accuracy suffers greatly if I recall correctly. Battlefield 4 is one of those games that teach firing control rather than just spraying.
