    That turned out fantastic. The pick guard color goes very well with the purple. I think Danish Pete will make it his number one from now on. You guys Rock!!! Stay safe and well. Signed John Zepbass, from Munster, Indiana , the good old midwest.

    The Espada and all the Fullerton Deluxe models come standard now with the Modern Classic neck which has a 1 11/16 nut width and a 1 5/8" string spacing. The E strings aren't going to fall of the edge of this neck. Plus you can change the nut if you don't like the 1 5/8" string spacing.
    The newer standard ASAT now has a 1 11/16" nut width too.

    Stunning guitar! BUT and this is a big BUT - please don't start relicing your regular models!! Make them all sparkle rainbow metal flake if you have to, just don't put out relic models.

    • @Bfordandafter
      @Bfordandafter 4 года назад +4

      Or make relics and let people that want them buy them and let others buy ones that are sparkly... because... adults.

    • @thefriendlyfinger69

      Looking at the current state of the world, I don't think it's actually a good idea to let the people decide... because... morons.

    • @Bfordandafter
      @Bfordandafter 4 года назад +4

      The market decides as always.. and it should. A company that fights that is only hurting itself. Morons will be perfectly clean ones and relic'd ones... and G&L makes money and continues to get to make cool guitars.

    I’ve had 2 Custom Shop built G&L guitars & the playability is awful!
    The way you guys heavily roll your fret edges & cut the nut slots so close to the edge makes fretting both E strings practically impossible without them slipping off the fretboard!!!

    • @dawtrek1656
      @dawtrek1656 4 года назад +1

      Most of the new models including the Espada come standard with a 1 11/16 nut width and 1 5/8 string spacing. The E strings are not likely to slip off these necks.

    • @ctsguitar
      @ctsguitar 4 года назад

      DAW Trek Yes this is what both guitars are. 1-1/16 nut width & 5/8 string spacing, but the strings still slip off due to the reducing placing surface of the overly tapered fret-ends & inconsistencies of how the nuts are cut; I’ve had to pay a tech to install a new much narrower nut... not to mention my first USA Legacy was faulty with a bridge alignment issue. G&L need to pay more attention to their quality control!

      @@ctsguitar That sucks man. I only own 1 USA G&L but it is the most impeccably crafted instrument I've had out of around 40 different guitars I've owned. I tried another USA Legacy that a customer brought in and it too felt incredible.
      Maybe bad luck?

      Did you take up this issue with the dealer you order the guitars from?
      Or were the guitars bought used?
      DId you try contacting G&L or the G&L forum?
      If the custom shop guitars were purchased new I would think they would be willing to correct the problem.
      I've played the 1 1/16 nut width and didn't notice this problem.
      I also owned two Legacy USA with 1 5/8 narrow nut and the strings didn't slip off the edges.
      I did own a Music Man Axis with the 1 5/8 narrow nut and finally flipped it because the high E string did slip off the neck.

      This doesn't sound right. Did you buy the guitars used?
      I've owned 3 G&L's and never had this problem.
      I did flip a new Music Man Axis that the high E string did slip off the neck.
      Two of my G&L's had a 1 5/8 nut width and they never had an issue of the strings slipping off the neck.
