@@Laikafan02 That thing is a Corespawn Crawler! Management says that they might be coming from deeper down in Hoxxes, and they're no Glyphids.

My favorite part is when my screen starts just showing black slices when the core and its goblin army shows up, thus distracting me from the hordes and the laser shooting Pokémon.
I still belive this is what happens to Dwarfs left behind. Mutated. We find lost gear, but no bodies. Even bones. We seen dino bones in fungus bogs, but not Dwarfs? I believe the bugs drag the fallen down to the core and are mutated into this creature. 2 eyes, two arms, two legs. We have seen mutations such as Kursite, Ebonite, and even RockPox on bugs. But what might effect a hardey Dwarf? A Stone it seams.
Thats a really neat theory, i like it, but they are too tall (lol), tho, that still doesnt make the theory fake.
Im honestly more worried of how can they be so many glyphids, wheres the mother?
@@BottomlessLore Dwarfs are smaller and wider, perhaps they got stretched out, as part of the mutilation and mutation process?

@@BottomlessLore if something can turn Glyphids into rocks, I don't doubt an eldritch being can make a dwarf a little taller.

That crawler new enemy makes me shit the first time ever playing DRG, literally if tunnelers from FNV and the monster from a silent way (the one that are hear sensitive) have a baby

for how scary they are and how awesome the music is, u put everybody on a zipline and the entire sequence becomes a lot less difficult
That's the bummer for me. Other seasonal events were more approachable and doable. This one is "have a gunner and a driller or prepare for pain".
You need a net of ziplines to stay out of reach, but you gotta touch ground to dig the stone twice. And you get downed in 5 seconds once you're on the ground, so you need a driller to double c4 that or you gotta shield-revive him twice.
The nemesis, the meteor, you could do it alone. This one ends missions.

@@PsychoMachado its very tough but hear me out, i dont believe a gunner/driller is necessary. the enemies, per stage of the core stone, stop spawning after a while. so being able to kill them will let u just have enough breathing room after theyre all dead to just mine the core stone out leisurely.
how to kill them is, as a video game should be, all on u. funnel em through a cave, have some massive fire power, kite them away from their spawns, however ud like to do it. howver, while i was playing gunner, i found a cheese, therefor i shared it
@@enjaded7222 Anytime i've encountered it, there are three scenarios:
1- Gunner+Driller. Gunner puts ziplines, Driller digs the stone on stage 1, and stages 2 and 3 he uses a satchel (I'm usually the driller on this case)
2- Gunner with ziplines. Either the driller doesn't uses a satchel to blow the stone again or we don't have a driller. Usually someone gets downed trying to dig the stone for us to shoot again
3- No gunner. Ends in either failure or at least 2 downs.
So while it is a cheese, it feels like you need a gunner or it's peak anxiety for 2 minutes. with enemies flying from all directions at the same time
@@enjaded7222 Interesting, i still think in that event its better to have a driller and gunner, and also the cheese, never forget the cheese and share it 🙃

I haven't seen or heard people talking about how *alien* these things are from glyphids. Shit, I don't even think they're native to Hoxxes to be honest.
My theory is that the deeper part of Hoxxes looks like the most horrible place and this things are the prettiests ones there 💀

I’m new to the game and I have a question. Is the Core Stone a temporary event or is it permanent?

Second of all, its a temporary event, well i supposed since its linked to the seasonal pass, which is free, but dont worry! They added a feature which you can go back to previous seasons so you can play with them whenever you want!

But dont worry, the other comments have taught me that if you use a zipline of the artiller, they cant reach you! making the mission VERY easy! just watch out for nearby walls or ceilings...that reminds me! watch out with the leeches!!

Does a screen turn pitch black whenever a core stone is activated normal, that last even after the core stone is defeated normal? Or is my game cursed?

They actually teased these things a few months ago in a post on Rogue Core's steam page. Apparently they're a species that lives in the core of Hoxxes.
