WE BOUGHT A MASSIVE OKUMA CNC LATHE!

Well Jake Burkey and I have been here at the Busted Knuckle Off Road Shop in Cullman, Alabama for a few years now and the business has continually been growing. So much so that we are getting behind and we knew it was time to upgrade some equipment. First on that list is a CNC Lathe. We found this Okuma CNC Lathe for a good deal and pulled the trigger. The only issue is that we have no idea how to operate this mammoth of a machine. All we know is that we had to pay a company to deliver it to us and a mega forklift to bring it into it's final resting place inside the shop. Wish us luck as we try to turn this investment into profit and figure out how to operate it without crashing it!

Man jealous, I am...I have too say I am the same, since I ran a HAAS CNC Milling machine @ gunsmithing school, an another CNC Lathe at my firearms manufacturer job after college.. want both..CNC..lathe & mill ..awesome stuff, cant wait to watch ..watch those AXIS!!..dont break off a cutter on one of those monsters..it'll shake the whole building!

I take it for granted that we have dozens of big taylors at work. They sling 70k lb steel coils like their nothing.

They are impressive machines for sure. We have been producing a lot of parts in house and are constantly coming up with new parts. This machine has been a great add to the shop for sure.
