    Hi Amy, what a fantastic idea. I love love love your shaker cover and all the tips that you've gave. I'm in progress to doing my own and the shaker cover is well done. Because of your explanation about the sewing issues I have used a thicker needle (80) and it works perfect. For metal threads I using always the metal thread needles (take a look in your sewing supplies store for it) and they works also great. xx Manuela

    Love your notebook, Amy!! Thanks for the tutorial! Hugs, Erica what's the difference from the dies we bought a few months ago? size?

    • @MyTeddyboo
      @MyTeddyboo  5 лет назад

      Thank you Erica!!!! This is a GREAT question. I believe the difference between this one and the Kaitlyn Lizardi die is that the Kaitlyn die is meant to cut fabric types of materials so no scorelines in the binding area. Eileen's die is designed to cut scoreboard and therefore is the good choice for cutting chipboard, matte board and a harder material like acetate with scorelines, but her die also cuts soft materials like felt or fabric. Eileen's pocket notebook die also gives flexibility for how wide you make your notebook - with her die you can have a pretty wide spine. If you mean between Eileen Hull's various journal dies - the difference is largely size - overall and width of the spine. With this one you can make such a large spine or trim it down and have a thinner spine. I think I have collected all of Eileen's various journal dies so that I have all the various options.

    It's a beauty. Would you show us how you threaded the elastic on the spine. I am unfamiliar with the way yours looks. I really like the look. Thank you!

    Hi My Teddyboo , I just brought this die through Amazon and just wondering on the die itself ! What is the other cut do because it only cuts one side and on the left of the die there is no cutting blade could you help 🧐thanks

    • @MyTeddyboo
      @MyTeddyboo  4 года назад

      Libby Z.G. It’s to cut an insert. Fold the paper you choose for your insert in half, lay the folded edge along the side that doesn’t cut and then cut your insert. Since that side does not cut, you’ll maintain a spine (your folded edge) for your planner insert. Hope that helps.

    Would you be able to do this with a fuse tool if you don’t have a sewing machine ?

    • @MyTeddyboo
      @MyTeddyboo  5 лет назад

      I think you could use a fuse tool with fuseable plastic and make a shaker cover with that, and I think there may be tutorials here on RUclips doing that. I'm sorry, I don't know if the fuse tool works with acetate but I'm sure if you asked We R Memory Keepers they can advise you if the fuse tool will fuse acetate.

    Hello I had been wanting this die for a long time it literally made it to me today after online purchase. My papers are cut clean through my felt clean through I ruined a lot and I’m not happy to have it anymore. Is there something I am only to cut of materials because I thot it was all material. I can’t get a spine that’s not in pieces 😞 thanks

      Oh no. I wouldn't like that either. I suggest contacting the Sizzix, the manufacturer, to see what they recommend to do.

      Thank you so much! I purchased the star patterned acetate from AC Moore. I've also seen it at Joanns. It's by American Craft.

    I wonder if you could have seen the spine together instead of taping it...
