    The way I do most of my applique is to cut my pattern onto file folder weight cardboard (I buy folders by the box for this purpose). Trace your shape then cut out the cardboard shape without any seam allowance. Then cut out your fabric with seam allowance. Pin the center of the fabric onto the cardboard and make a running stitch around the seam allowance to gather the fabric. Smooth edges will result! Happy quilting

    What was that cleaner called that you used to clean your iron?

      It’s an iron cleaner by FAULTLESS. I ordered it with my groceries through Walmart. Works beautifully! No idea what the paste is, but it’s super effective- and quickly.
