I love how well you explain the process. What I find funny is this is the second bag videoI have watched and the inside pocket fabric is upside down. That would drive me crazy. Thanks so much for explaining so well.
PLEASE do a larger version of this, maybe large and then a weekender size. Love your channel!
All you need to do is use your own measurements.
@@teresakent8614 would you happen to know how the depth of a tote bag with a box bottom affects the height and width, I have been struggling with this for years and I just cannot get a good grasp as to how it works. Especially if you want to customize your bag size.
Thanks. Just a suggestion if you want the corners up near each side of your zipper to be straight and not dented inward use a technique called The Butler method. The video is by Amy Lynne Designs. Very nice straight zipper corners. There are others with videos but only hers really works well to me. And you also have the option of not even having to use tabs. Hope you don't mind me sharing just trying to help.
PLEASE do not stop these tutorials. I have made everything so far and cant wait for more. You are a great teacher. I'm a beginner at sewing and you make it so easy for me. Thank you for everything.
Super cute bag. I love the quilt as you go projects. I think pink, blue, brown and beige are my favorite color combos with yellow sprinkled in.
Couldn’t have ever made this without this tutorial. I would have sewed it up completely wrong and never figured out why..but listening to your directions helped me understand what I did wrong so I could fix it before continuing.
Because of your tutorials, I bought the 15.5” square ruler. Best thing I have bought in a long time. I have used it more often than I thought I would.
I made my first bag four years watching your videos. And I made many more since then, love ❤️ all your videos
Erica, thank you so much for doing a tutorial on this quilt as you go bag. I love it! You are a wonderful teacher. I have made several of your bags so far. This is definitely going on my to do list! ❤️
I made this tote bag for my sister and her friend. They love them! I am now making 3 more as gifts for some other friends who saw them. Thank you for making the directions easy to follow!!
You and Jenny doan are the best teachers there is. I will be rewatching this and making this bag!
Gosh thank you so much, I love Jenny!
I made this bag today and it turned out adorable
You are so creative. Thanks for the zipper tabs. I made the double zipper pouch I like the way the zipper looks with the tabs. Now I can try this also. Your projects are so easy to do. Thank you for that also. I am just now starting to use the foam batting. I think it takes a little getting used to, but I like the way the bags turn out.
I’m super new to sewing but I may try to make the pocket with the heart boxes you showed us on the sewing mat! I hope I can make that work.
A great bag Erica! I like this method of bag making, and your zip is made so easy to follow. Some tuck the zips in and I seem to get bulk at the ends, this is lovely and flat. Thank you, another great addition to my library of Erica bags!
I am always turned off with zippers but this one looked pretty easy on my wish list to make you make it look so easy.tyfs
I good I will stop too fast
Love that bag. My wadding arrives tomorrow hopefully. I will start and sew one straight away. Thank you for all your videos. I did my first bag step by step with your video.

Great bag Erica! Such fun fabric. Love all your bag tutorials. Sewing a squishy bag drawstring one this past week. Haven’t done the final steps yet but looking great. I always need project bags for my crochet and sewing things. These work great!
Jax must have been sleeping during this one. Love him. 🐾🐾🐾
Hi Erica, i saw on one of your videos where you mentioned that you wish you could get more of the Sugar Creek collection by Corey Yoder. Quilter's Dream in Loveland, CO has yardage and also some of the precuts. I was just there last week and they had a lot of it:)
I love it! I am glad you mentioned about the bag being washable! My daughter is an RN and I will be making one of these for her to take her clothes back forth from home to work and vise versa!
Thank you! I just finished my first ever bag and it looks so professional. You are so good at teaching and making things easy. I have learned so much from your videos and am so appreciative.

Another cute bag, this weekends project , thank you🧵♥️
Thank you for your excellent tutorials! I have made many project bags based on your various patterns/tutorials but it’s kind of a vicious cycle...need more project bags to hold more yarn! 😀. Also what is that tape/grid on your machine? It looks like a seam allowance guide that may be removable?
It's Cluck Cluck 1/4" Sew Tape you can get it here: bit.ly/2B6rzS8
Such a great tutorial! I love the detail. Very clear! Thank you!

Love this bag , by far my favorite Erica 👍🏻😊
Very attractive looking bag. Would love to make it.
So Cute ! I Love it ! 💕
I am making this bag, and originally thought I would do the webbing straps. But now I think I want fabric straps. How do you finish them off if not embedding them in the zipper seam?
Eerica I think this is just one of the cutest bags, just love it. I adore the fabric on the pocket, what a great choice. Thanks so much. Your instructions are always so great. I'm 5'3" so I'm going to use the same strap measurements as you have. My daughter, 42, is the same height as you, her daughter, my oldest granddaughter 22 in a few days is 5' 5" I think I may add an 1" to the straps, what do you think? I would like to make one for her birthday on the 10th. Today is Sunday the 5th.
It look super cute ❤
You are very talented! Thanks!
Another excellent teaching video.
Great job on this! Beautiful bag! Thanks so much for the tutorial! ☺️

Erica your amazing! Can’t wait to make this! Thanks for the tutorial ❤️
love this bag, I'm gonna make it, nice directions. Thanks
So so cute! Ty!!
What a wonderful bag!
Hi Erica!
What makes this bag washable and the others not? Only asking because I want to make the other bags washable. Thank you for all you do!
Most of my bags are washable, as long as there aren't any raw edges in a bag you can wash it :)
Live it!!
Muy bonito. Gracias por el tutorial.
Great video, and well explained! Thank you so much!
Love this
Ty Erica....great tutorial 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️💁🏻♀️
Erica, I love your tutorials! I plan on making this bag too but I have to ask, what happened to your hands! Did you have a fight with your rotary cutter?
No, it was Jax LOL! He's very sharp and pointy!
Yep haha!
