I think you made a Lil mistake. You said they were flying over the forest heibai destroyed. The fire nation burned the forest and that's why heibai was angry.
For those fallen comrades who loved the animation series when released 19 years ago, but are not here anymore to witness this incredible work, a toast to you my friends!
The bit of Azula with the bow might be a callback to when she put an apple on Mai’s head in one of Zuko’s flashbacks later in the show. Maybe instead of fire bending at the apple she uses an arrow this time around.
Decent idea. Hope you’re right. I don’t want to see Azula be an archer for much of the show. I wonder if they’ll give us her classic blue fire or if they avoid that so they don’t have to explain the reason why it’s blue.
@@Puckett. Based on the interview posted today by IGN, per the Director and producer, fire bending is going to be unique per fire bender . It'll have different sound or effect depending on the user. I'm pretty sure they're keeping the blue flames.
My jaw literally dropped😱🤯This whole trailer won me over. I saw like a ton of references from the cartoon to this amazing live action adaptation, in my opinion this is already one of the best things that I had seen than the 2010 movie. Plus When I saw June, jet and bumi in this I had felt my childhood was reborn, they legit COOKED this series.
8:04 man they NAILED Jet! the way he uses his swords, his stance and his outfit are all incredibly on point! its nice to actually see jet fight a firebender who uses fire since we ironically never get that in avatar (except for the ambush introduction scene, but those dont actually bend fire at jet)
Watching Aang, Katara, and Sokka smiling and supporting each other on Appa is everything. I loved it when they wrapped up cartoon episodes with that and the kalimba music in the background.
7:09 I don't think it's Secret Tunnel - I believe it's the "Spirited Away" episode, and those are all the people that Hei Bai kidnapped, returning from the spirit world not through forest, but through a cave. Aang sees Sokka and Katara amongst the people who were brought back, and gives them a warm hug while they're still a bit spacey from this experience, almost in trance, uintil Aang hugs them
secret tunnel was the 2nd episode of book 2 so yeah. AND the way that sokka and katara looked, it didnt look secret tunnel-y to me. they looked miserable and tired.
It might be after aang gets the frogs to cure sokka and katara? katara looks sick/sleep deprived? maybe they re-imagined (brace yourselves)... the great divide. changed the stakes, integrated the story to be meaningful to the overall plot or something? makes sense withe a crowd walking away and them a bit toasted & reconciling.
If you look at the episode titles it’s very possible they are moving the tunnel to when Aang, Sokka and Katara are leaving Omashu instead of returning. Episode 3 is “Omashu” and episode 4 is “Into the Dark”
I am pretty sure 7:13 is from when Sokka and Katara are returned from the Spirit World after Aang befriends and calms Hei Bei. It makes sense with how bewildered they look as well as the other village people walking in front of them after being released Edit: I was right!!!
@@guuuut I thought so too originally but in the shot before you see other people walking away kind of tired and drained while Aang is waiting for Sokka and Katara to come out too. That doesn't make sense in the context of Bumi

3:47 that mochi on a stick is called Dango. You can have sweet and savory types ->🍡 this is a sweet version. The one that Sokka is holding is the savory version.
I think the scene with Ozai's cabinet is the moment when Zuko speaks out of turn leading to the duel that gave him his scar. The scene with Ozai without his shirt is the duel
It definitely is the duel when he’s shirtless because the arena was quite literally a platform in the middle of a large room or field. If I remember correctly, General Zhao and Zuko’s agni kai took place in an open field arena while Ozai’s agni kai with Zuko was on a platform in the palace So they probably combined the two locations for artistic purposes
I don’t think that’s the secret tunnel episode I think it’s the episode where Katara and Sokka were imprisoned by King Bumi while Aang was solving his riddles
Yea it gave me blue spirit ep vibes as well, and I think the scene where aangs hugging Katara and Sokka while they look tired and beat up also could be from that ep cz they were sick in that ep and that’s aang got captured looking for frozen frogs for them

I'm pretty sure the Ozai was fighting Zuko in Agnikai there, I remember seeing the actor's reaction to the trailer and the Zuko's actor was like "yeah, I had to act terrified, and even without the effects, it was pretty easy to get intimidated by THIS GUY"
I almost cried seeing this trailer. Avatar is about finding friendship, understanding, peace, balance and your true self, even If the world is in complete chaos and and in complete darkness. Is about not succumbing to your dark desires, or apathy, and to be a better person. So yeah, I think this is something that we all need to ser right now ❤
just finished watching back on your livestream, thank you for pumping this out so soon! also, don't think Sokka is eating an apple. it reminded me of those Japanese puffy bread sweet with red bean paste inside and the mochi stick is dango.
I also didnt think this is an apple. When looking at the scene it seems more like Sokka is chewing on something soft, like a bun or something, rather then something hard, like an apple.
Makes sense that they'd merge some story-lines, especially for book one, which had a lot of "filler" that then sprinkled important bits of lore into it or suddenly became relevant later on. The Northern Air temple is a major example; it's story-line is entirely filler, but the characters it introduced become pretty integral to events in book 3. Bato of the Water Tribe, is another example; the conflict between Aang and the WT siblings was unnecessary, but the episode introduced June and gave some info on Hakoda's movements.
I don’t get why people don’t want to see more of Ozai. We already know what happens in the original, so there’s no need to tease him again. I’m glad to see more Ozai and get an idea of what he was doing the entire time in season 1.
This season needs to focus on General Zhao as the main villian. Zhao tries to steal Zuko’s dream of taking the Avatar and of course the invasion of the Northern Water tribe.
I think that scene at 6:16 where Aang did like a smoke screen its probably from the time he saved Zuko/Blue spirit. And the scene of Aang hugging Katara and Sokka.. they look sick.. i think its probably from the same episode of the Blue Spirit coz Sokka and Katara were sick at that time and he went to find medicine and got captured.
I’m honestly so exited for this!! All the characters look the part, and so, SO much better than the pjo live action. i think this is a live action remake that I’ll actually enjoy! All the characters look How they’re supposed to. No unneeded raceswaps. It makes me so happy.
6:14 I thought it was when Aang made a smokescreen to hide him and Zuko from Zhao to get away. Great vids man. Absolutely Mental Netflix was in your stream and your first response was to mod them.
Oh I just thought about it. What if they mix the Theo episode and the Omashu episode, introduce Azula, Mai and Ty Lee taking Omashu, thus leading to the s2 part where Aang has to find another earthbending master, ummm. 🤔
IM SO HYPED FOR THIS!! Ngl i wasnt super sold on it for some reason when i first heard of a live action adaptation but this got me so so excited!!! Cant wait!
In the afterparty which came out on Netflix channel right after the trailer, an actor who plays Zuko literally said that this scene with Ozai is him punishing Zuko
Just a little knowledge, the flip that Ang used to douge Boomis rocks is called a butterfly kick which in my opinion is very suitable for an air bender
YES YES YESSSSSSSS!!!! This is literally the animated series coming to life!!!! L😍VE it!!! Cannot wait ! 😬 Wish we didn’t have to wait another month, it’s going to be the longest month ever 😂
The title of the video is a Lie, only Ralph from Reck it Ralph can do that. All jokes aside this was truly awesome! And the bending in looks absolutely epic! 🤩 I can’t wait to finally watch the Gaang and their adventures in live action. 🥰
You can tell the people who produced and directed the show are huge fans of the OG animated series I don’t think i can become more hype than I already am
Remember that awesome feeling long ago of getting out of school and being surprised and excited with a small clip avatar comercial. I’m jealous of the kids coming home to this official trailer.
The only problem with this show that I see is that since they are introducing Azula and the fire lord in season 1, this will take away from Zuko’s villain and threat image that is so important for his redemption later on. The attack on kyoshi island should be Zuko too not Zhao! I just hope they don’t treat zuko like too much of a side character, because it can be argued that he is the most important character of ATLA.
I don't think he'll be treated like a side character at all. I think they're just going to be more upfront about what Zukos role as a character is than the cartoon did. Zukos not a villain, he's a second protagonist. This was made pretty clear to me by season 3 but in season 1 Zuko comes off as unintentionally silly and incompetent a lot of the time and that's fine because he's trying to be a ruthless evil person when that's just not who he is. This live action version looks like it's making that point more overt, he's not someone you're ever supposed to dislike he's someone you want to see turn his life around.
@@MrEffectfilms I agree with your point on zuko being someone you want to turn his life around, but I don’t know if a redemption story hits the same if we see that he’s never a threat. I remember watching season 1 for the first time and thinking that he was the big bad despite him losing in goofy ways and below zhao at the time.
@@yoDominican- Well he can and likely will be seen as a threat but especially with this being live action they need to be careful with how far they go with this. There's a huge difference between watching a cartoon character commit war crimes vs a living breathing human doing it even if it's just in a work of fiction. Since Zuko is someone who by the end needs to be seen as redeemed and heroic this is ground they need to tread very carefully with him in a way the cartoon series didn't.
@@MrEffectfilms Yea thats the tricky part. I think Zuko will be the hardest character to pull off. They just have to make him stand his ground against Azula and Zhao like he did in the show.
@@yoDominican- And there's no way they mess that up. Not having Zuko fight Azula detracts from both characters IMO. Maybe don't have them fight each other as much as in the cartoon series (they fight a total of 5 times) but the first fight and the final agni Kai are absolutely essential. My guess is that they'll likely have one fight per season. So we'll get the fight that happens at the beginning of season 2 during the Northern Water Tribe finale probably, then the 3 way stand off between Azula, Aang, and Zuko in season 2, and then the final Agni Kai in season 3.
My favorite parts in the official trailer are at the one minute/ 23 second mark where Aang raises the fog for cover (giving that Storm of the X-Men vibe) and at one minute/51 second mark of Aang facing off against Bumi. The other being Katara water bending to create the ice shield at the one minute/53 second mark. The music during the last two segments is upbeat and heightens the moment. I wonder if this song is on iTunes already.
Well I certainly was never one of the people calling your thoughts and speculations baseless and leaving dislikes, but I'll go ahead and apologize on other people's behalf because I can't stand how ridiculous people can be about this stuff! You've always had such great thoughts and have pointed out so much stuff I've missed, I don't get why people have to be rude about this stuff/ We all have a huge thing in common- our love for this series, the show, the characters, all of it. Anyone that can get so heated as to dislike and comment unnecessary things to bring negativity into this needs to take some time off the internet to reflect lol I just want to make a shout out to you for all your hardwork and the great content you post. And keeping us up to date! You have such a light positive spirit and it always makes my day. I don't have a ton of social media anymore, so I usually get my updates from you hear so I really appreciate ya! P.s- I agree with all your sentiments and everything you said here. But also.... I'm crazy pumped for this lol have been cautiously excited and optimistic about the live action, but the trailer really tied it together for me. Can't wait!!
The only thing I was slightly struck by as odd that I haven't seen anyone mention is how neither Suki nor Sokka are in Kyoshi warrior make-up during the attack on Kyoshi Island
Nah I still hate that they show Ozai in season 1. Nothing will change it. And I think 6:15 is from Blue Spirit episode. You know, when Aang created a cover to escape with Zuko. They absolutely nailed costumes and creatures! Shitshu, Appa, furious form of Hei Bai looks absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to see how they recreated Koh or Bumi’s animal! Also Blue Spirit’s mask is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.
I understand. Personally I don't mind. The reason that was so effective in the cartoon is because we had no idea what to expect from Ozai, how he'd look, his overall demeanor, anything. But now we do especially once the casting announcement was made. There's no way to hide him from us like rhe cartoon did so they might as well make use of him since they have him anyway.

Im fully with you! This dropped outta nowhere and I nearly started crying
MANNNN!! At the end when the “Chake ch Chaka Chaka” started!! 😵🤯🙈😭😭🥹😍😍😍🤍👏🏼🤍🫶🏼🥳🥳🥳🥳
It looks sooooo good! Seriously so excited 😭
LOVE YOUR VIDS BRO A SO GLAD NETFLIX RECOGNISED YOU
6:16 that's the blue spirit episode. I'm sure of it. when he vanishes with Zuko
1:06 wasn't it firebenders that destroyed the forrest leading heibei to become an evil forrest spirit thing?
it was
or, what i thought, its kyoshi island that burned down
Imagine if when sokka is introducing himself to Aang he says it Soaka as to hide his identity and also as a reference to the movie lol
CAN'T WAIT!
Great bud man, can always count on your for newly released stuff and breakdowns
I'm so excited for this actually. I teared up when watching the trailer. I cant WAIT
Your commitment to work on this video ASAP amazes me
I think 2:38 is the episode with the mechanist haha! However what weirds me out is the scene where Theo and Aang flying in Omashu!!!
7:07 I think you right now. I don't know if I like combine Omashu and Northern temple's stories.
What Sokka is eating is a Chinese treat called Tanghulu. It’s fresh fruit dipped in melted sugar which gives it a crunchy coating.
Though I have doubts about the show all of this looks great
I think that scene at 6:16 where Aang did like a smoke screen its probably from the time he saved Zuko/Blue spirit.
You're so petty about being right and I love it cuz I'm the exact same way
Okay, its decided. I will need to some time off to binge this and maybe the day after to recover. This looks epic!
6:14 I thought it was when Aang made a smokescreen to hide him and Zuko from Zhao to get away. Great vids man. Absolutely Mental Netflix was in your stream and your first response was to mod them.
The Original cast should play the Ember Iland Players if they make it to season 3
Yes!
Oh I just thought about it. What if they mix the Theo episode and the Omashu episode, introduce Azula, Mai and Ty Lee taking Omashu, thus leading to the s2 part where Aang has to find another earthbending master, ummm. 🤔
Huh. Guess aang was just told that he was the avatar within that week he disappeared. So when katara found him it felt like last week. That’s crazy.
I cant WAIT for this show....looks SO SICK and done right....lets go NETFLIX
I have high hopes
IM SO HYPED FOR THIS!! Ngl i wasnt super sold on it for some reason when i first heard of a live action adaptation but this got me so so excited!!! Cant wait!
at 1:09 ..... am I the only one who didn't notice, that those aren't fireballs but FRCKN FIREBENDERS USING THEIR FLYING MODE!!!!!!!
Wish we didn’t have to wait another month, it’s going to be the longest month ever 😂
1:03 Who Destroyed the Forest?
The title of the video is a Lie, only Ralph from Reck it Ralph can do that.
All jokes aside this was truly awesome! And the bending in looks absolutely epic! 🤩 I can’t wait to finally watch the Gaang and their adventures in live action. 🥰
omg they are actually gonna do it. this looks amazing, im getting more hopeful by the day for this series
Kataras Water-Bending 💙✨😭👑
God, I’m so excited!!! I got goosebumps watching the trailer!!!
The Ozai reveal looks like when he's fighting Zuko
My excitement is officially through the stratosphere.
I hate being this guys, but the Fire Nation destroyed that Forest not Habai. Great video!
You can tell the people who produced and directed the show are huge fans of the OG animated series
I don’t think i can become more hype than I already am
Well, can't wait to see "Shaw".
Remember that awesome feeling long ago of getting out of school and being surprised and excited with a small clip avatar comercial.
I’m jealous of the kids coming home to this official trailer.
Thank you for everything you have 🙏🏽I’m been waiting for this since 2020 and I love every single one of your vids and watch every single one ☝️
I saw Earth bending, the way they made the music match bumi's movements was awesome. That's all i care about is the redemption of earth bending😅😅
I actually missed the bit when Theo is flying with Aang above Omashu...thank you for spotting the details!
Love your videos bro. This is my all time favorite show
My favorite parts in the official trailer are at the one minute/ 23 second mark where Aang raises the fog for cover (giving that Storm of the X-Men vibe) and at one minute/51 second mark of Aang facing off against Bumi.
Anyone that can get so heated as to dislike and comment unnecessary things to bring negativity into this needs to take some time off the internet to reflect lol
I just want to make a shout out to you for all your hardwork and the great content you post.
I find it odd he didn't mention Suki at all. But yeah that was odd too
I legit got emotional and cried 😭 the theme song ❤️
@3:48 that’s dango 🍡 , a typical japanese street food
"I'm the Avatar, and I've gotta cope with it!"
Not quite the same vibes as Korra's line, hahaha! 😅
6:15 Could be when Aang puts up a dust screen to escape from Zhao and the archers
