I'm really thankful for both this and Archetype Cory Wong as not everybody is a metal player. Kudos to all the great heavy amps as well, but personally they're not my thing.
The Plini amp is good as well.
Don’t sleep on that Tim Henson. Some spectacular clean & edge-of-breakup tones. Not a metal guy at all, & I use it constantly.
Plini has best cleans still imo
@@jasonbrucemusic dude I live on that Tim Henson plugin lol. Clean/crunch tones are SO good and they modeled a Marshall jcm800 for the overdrive channel, and a matchless for the clean, it’s definitely slept on!

As an owner of a Tone King Imperial MKII, I am impressed with this plugin. I'm only trial mode. I haven't heard of Neural DSP prior to this release. I'm impressed right out of the gate.
greatest guitar player of our generation :) as a blues player i find everyone's chasing that Hendrix or SRV tone but for me im chasing That "mateus" tone :)

I love it! It's nice to see more plugins being developed for us folks who like to use the clean "fender style" amps(I use a 65 SRRI myself and want to pull the plug on a two-rock eventually). Just installed it last night and it feels RIGHT at home, even down to the actual feel.

Bringing Mateo in for the video is genius.
As a metal player, I'm VERY interested in this. Between the Plini and Gojira Archetypes, my heavy is taken care of. Something a little different or more traditional for cleans is a really appealing addition in my mind.
Demo Archetype Wong first. I have others, but most of my time is split between Gojira and Wong
There's some presets from Javier Reyes in there that might peak your interest!

just got this video as a RUclips ad and it' the very first time ever I've watched the whole ad video, having such a great player demoing such great gear really made the magic happen

Saw a few videos criticizing some of Neural's recent plugins by complaining that they cater too much to the prog rock crowd... I don't see that as a bad thing, but it's good to see more products that lean in other directions. Hopefully this will make those reviewers stop whining for a while, lol.

Mateus sounding better than ever!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Really a great plug-in, sounds like real tube amps. Had no problems with the install on windows, went guickly. You do need to work with the input, output, and gate settings first. you need to get that clean and clear sound without any pops or static coming out of the speakers. speakers are a major part of the tones (unless your using headphones). I'm using powered 1000 watt mackies with 15's and a small portable mackie guitar amp sitting closer to me so I can mix the combo of the speakers to get more of a guitar tone. sure you can just use the presets as a starting point (Peter Thorn has his own on there) but you have to spend some time to get that really sweet tone. not a major problem and you can save all your settings.
Also have the Cory Wong and it's has a couple of Strat presets that are just amazing
Be ready to spend hours playing on all the settings and tones having a blast and you can also use your pedal board too
