love it how scholes says 'we' instead of united LEGEND

well, they just sacked Mourinho

His tie was done by his Mum too...
Souness Senior died years ago...
Hilarious
Exactly MATA IN HIS RIGHT POSITION IS DEADLY NOT AS A FUCKING WINGER!
Mata played as a winger few times for chelsea and did extremely well
Cometimes but he himself said he hated that role hence why he was dropped for Chelsea he did not want to adapt his role and Mourinho didn't like that
Sometimes*
Melvin S7ven he didn't want to track back or chase oppositions, not because he played on the wing. If anything he wanted to play more
Yeah that too but he doesn't play well on the wing and his performances are nowhere near as good when he is played there he has proved this for Man U if Moyes actually wants to win deploy him just behind whoever our striker is there he will assist and score and create alot more, like he did for Chelsea he is definetly going to thrive if he is played there!
as a liverpool fan i really enjoyed this season. not just becos we played amazing football and claim within a whisker of the title, but watching moyes drag united down was brilliant

This is where united fell and never really recovered.
Not really.

@@mega5075 why are you denying that you fell off....delusion at it finest.....you went from winning leauge titles season after season to not winning in 7 years....I understand defending your team but to say you haven't fallen of is ridic
This was the clubs fault, poor appointment in hindsight, but more than that, poor squad management and transfer business. Fergie hadn't started a rebuild like normal with this side, they were all aging out and he is partially responsible too.
MEGA Liverpool won more jn 2 years then united in 7
Scholes talks the game simple in lay man's terms for normal people to understand.

Just seeing "Won 20 major honours with Man Utd" is absolutely stunning. What a brilliant, brilliant player.
I think Scholes can bring a lot to Sky's punditry, his experience and fantastic playing career along with his no nonsense brutally honest opinions would be a breath of fresh air. David Moyes, whatever your opinion on him as a football manager, was brought in to be the guy that followed Ferguson. No world class manager in the world would have taken that job no matter the pay. He was the in betweener, and the people (and global corporate sponsorship companies) that employed him knew this. They knew he was a temporary employee before they appointed him. One glance at the financial backing Moyes was given and it's comparison to VanGaal is all you need.
+ledzepman36 Nonsense. They gave him a 6 year contract for an obvious reason.
For years Man United fans sneered at Job Paisley's success at Liverpool. They said he 'inherited a great team'. That's nonsense. He inherited a good team and made it a great team. As hard as it is to build an empire,it's twice as hard to succeed a giant and sustain it. Bob Paisley is the only manager to do so. The difference between him and Ferguson is Bob succeeded a messiah. Ferguson succeeded a moron. Ferguson would have failed miserably if h e succeeded Busby.
+ledzepman36 The truth is still out there on David Moyes appointment. Why these two builders(David Gill and SAF) of MU stepped down in less then a year window of each other. SAF retirement was very sudden.David Moyes record with Everton on a shoe string budget is the clue
@@superfirmino1314 pretty sure we can safely sat Fergie would not have failed in any circumstances. He was the master of replacing a winning team where it needed it. And he was the master of bringing youth through. Basically. He was the master.

Where do all the comments go? wtf!
Exactly wtf is going on
The man just got west ham in the qtr finals of Europa league I bet some man u fans would give him another chance now
Unfortunately for David Moyes in todays day and age managers need to bring instant success. Gone are the days when Fergie took over the club and he had time. This is something moyes doesn't have because of the amount of money in the game
Back in time when Ferguson took over the club ManU was a struggling club which he turned into Champions. Fergie also had a great history in Aberdeen to back him off to give him time and there was progress to seen.
Moyes in the other hand took over the defending champions, which he turned into a mid table team with his negative tactics and such, he always kept speaking down the quality of the team, he has no former success to back him off and to see Everton doing better than ever in 11 years under Moyes sums it up.
Sure the money is a big deal too, but there was all the right reasons to sack Moyes and not give him more time. ManU is not a sacking club, but they aren't stupid either. If there's absolutely no progress to seen and the manager manages to break every negative record there is to break, then it's clear that he needs to go.
And fortunately for all of us... the Utd board actually has a brain (and eyes), unlike you.
***** u knw he had the toughest job in the world. Replacing SAF is impossible and being hand picked by him to do his job, imagine the pressure he would be under. You cant expect instant success with this team at his disposal. He needed time thats all
kevinmsft That would be the United board who sanctioned Moyes' appointment in the first place. Oh the wisdom of hindsight.
Klopp is the only person in recent history to be given time
10 years later and he's saying exactly the same thing after man utd games
Can we just clone Paul Scholes? Midfield problems solved.
“Not going to be a Quick fix” still bloody going on.
Love the fact that Scholes still says 'we'. United legend.
Scholes has Manchester United written through him like a stick of rock. I can't help feeling sorry for Moyes and hope it comes right for him and the club.
mrvideouploads1 No, more tangerine you colour blind twit.
Has done at West ham
Paul Scholes would have been man united best player if he was on the pitch today.
Even at his age.
He still is to this day
Gosh even now the comment is relevant after 7 years 😳
Honestly I am not a Man U fan. But if Moyes doesn't get the sack at the end of the season, it would be a big surprise.
What if Alex Ferguson got sacked after his first season? Alex had four years without winning anything, and was saved at the 1990 FA Cup Final by Mark Robins. If Man U hadn't won that Final, they wouldn't have had Alex as a Manager.
*****
This united team is where is should be in the league, the fact that Fergie won titles with this lot speaks volumes about his ability as a manager. Moyes is simply not the kind of manager than can bring out every shred of potential from his team, he can however over time build up a strong team Everton were fighting relegation when he joined them and left them fighting for top 6 consistantly for years, Martinez's took over a great side Fergie left United with a few holes that havent been patched yet.
No shit...
5H4K490 Spot on, I think any manager could have taken over that United team and struggled to get top 4 with them, Ferguson is one of a kind and somehow won trophies with an average side. Some Man United fans feel as though they are entitled to win trophies every year. It's about time they got a reality check.
luckily he did get sacked, when fergie first came he won trophies at aberdeen, moyes best trophy was a promotion trophy, what a joke
Souness is wrong about attracting players.Liverpool are one of those clubs people tout as being "Special" yet if they went head to head with a club in the CL for a player they would lose out. That'll change this summer though because they will have CL football.
but they managed to attract top players like suarez and torres . and at the time they were both top class players before they signed for them .
Torres scored 15 in 40 apps the season before his Liverpool move, spending over 20 million on him in 2007 was a massive risk. And for Suarez, there weren't that many clubs looking to sign him,he was known as a loose cannon and coming from the Eridivise, you never know if the talent would cross over well to the Premiership. If Liverpool tried to sign a Hazard when Chelsea bought him, they wouldnt have got close.
It had been a long time since Liverpool competed for the league though and they also havent had the spending power of United. Yeah if someone like Real and Bayern come in we wont have a chance but City managed to get players like Yaya, Silva, Aguero so you can still buy good players.
Robert Lock we were in the champions league when we bought torres.
can u name any player than club loving gerrard who would choose liverpool over man u without ucl.
Gotta love Chris at the end
Souness blames Pogba for him getting sacked

David Moyes, coming from an LFC supporter, is a good guy. Solid, genuine with press, and an optimistic in the shadow of press pessimism. Now for the but, always a but, never won anything at Everton after 11 years, never managed in Champions League and turned a championship winning team into 8th or 9th place (when penning this). Oh, and his successor, Martinez, has achieved, in 1 year, more than him. For me, keep him as Utd boss - he is a football genious as he has brought down UTD - could not love him enough - thanks David
Yep agreed fully, clicked thumbs up on RUclips, lifting both thumbs as well as my feet in real life!
I'm jumping with joy for LFC!! 4 more games and i can cross out one of my wishes before i die.
Waste of time. He isnt gonna say that Moyes needs to be sacked is he ffs.
Moyes out
He doesnt need to be sacked. If we get rid of him now then we will just end up going through like another 2 managers that will get sacked again. Probably a couple of van gaals or mourinhos. Then that will lead to having to sign someone who the fans love, a solskjaer maybe. do you get my point?
People (including the man himself) say David Moyes deserved more time. Bullshit. You end up so far off the pace that you're basically talking about getting beaten by Man City and Liverpool as a guarantee, and you know you've fucked up. Especially when Ferguson won the league with the same team (without Maroune Fellaini!) ! David Moyes said it himself within a month of arriving: it was bigger than he expected and he felt overwhelmed. Right away I thought that was a really bad sign. Then Johnny Evans comes out publicly and says the players are lacking confidence and need a lift from somewhere. In late October! Desperately making a plea to the manager to motivate them, that's how early the confidence had gone. It took him only a couple of months to decimate a title-winning side. He lost the players, kept losing games they were winning, looked and sounded like a beaten man, his vision seemed to be one that constantly only ever looked towards his own fingernails. As he clung desperately to the side of the cliff. He lacked any true vision for what Man United could achieve, even with all the history showing what they already HAVE been able to achieve.
I like David Moyes. But he just wasn't right for Man United. He said the wrong things, did the wrong things, set the most negative records, and in the end, lost far too many games softly. I'm not saying Van Gaal will be amazing for United, but let's be honest, what Moyes left him is a hell of a lot worse than what Ferguson left Moyes. Stick to managing small-mentality teams David, you're a genius at that. Stay well away from the top jobs please.
Moyes is the best thing to ever happen to the Prem league.. hahahab
He's just rescued West Ham from relegation and has them competing for Champions league football - all in 18 months. Imagine if Man Utd had given him 18 months instead of half that - the owners capitulated to pressure from ignorant supporters that thought success was their right just because they had had one of the best managers in history for the previous 25 years.

Fellani was Moyes’ only signing and he was actually brilliant; Very underrated and under appreciated.
Moyes didn’t have an amazing time but every single manager has struggled since Sir Alex left, they should have stuck with him for at least two season (I don’t think Van Gaal’s or Mourinho’s records are much better and they had more time and money).
I don’t know about brilliant he was a slightly better mctominay
Van gaal and mourinho were a lot better than Moyes
No need for the revisionism
Van Gaal at least managed to win an FA Cup, and Mourinho a Europa League and League Cup. Moyes isn't big enough to manage a club the size of United.
Scholes looked like he did not want to be sitting there and was struggling to hold his words back, haha. I get the feeling he filtered a lot of what he wanted to say. Glad he is backing Mata.
This should be on sky sports retro
"United are not a sacking club."
Lol, how did that work out?
It worked out well I would say we can win a match now
Quite the decision tbh.
when you have a clown like moyes, you must not think twice before the sack
+DJharj123 You know what the clown did in Sydney/Australia. He took MU for a run in Bondi Beach unprotected.
A true unsung hero, he was/is a quiet man, his head was only about the football, he wasn't like Becks who had his eyes set on stardom, wearing hats to wait reveal a fucking hairstyle. Scholes was a lover of the game and he served us well. I've noticed no matter what team you support, even City and Liverpool, the fans have a respect for scholes not many players have that respect, even Zidane said Scholes was the best midfielder in the world. For me, in his peak, there isn't a team I'd not have him in.
David Moyes is simply not good enough to be Manchester United manager. He may have a tough team to be dealing with but the shit that's happening at that club is just not acceptable for a team like United. Being guaranteed to finish the season with our lowest ever points tally, with 7 games left to play, is just not acceptable. Our team may not be its best but its not that bad. And to those who say its up to the players to play well, whos job is it to rally those players. A manager gets payed to inspire his players and, if he cant do it, hire a member of staff who can like a decent coach. David Moyes has broken too many unwanted records and I don't think the fans will take much more of it.
Agreed!
The biggest mistake was getting rid of the original coaching staff. I'm not sure I agree Moyes needs to be sacked as that would split the club even more (especially as a club that doesn't follow that ideology of sacking). Sure he's had an awful season with a team that should be contending for top 4 but sometimes you have to blame the footballers. I know it's his job to rally them but at the end of the day they are professionals that should be eager week in week out, especially with pay bonuses I'm sure! I'd like to see him be given 2 more seasons. I know some would argue that's too much time, but he may well make the job his own before that time is up; I know Moyes has been in the business for years but stepping into Fergie's boots is no easy task! Needs to settle and get to know his players (but maybe be given a transfer lesson in not buying the likes of Fellaini) :P
I don't want Moyes to be sacked because I think it would make us end up like how chelsea were. Going through 9 managers in 10 years. I also don't think there are many, if any, that can do a better job than he can. I just wish he didnt make some of the mistakes he is making.
I've got nothing to say other than totally agree with the both of you, i lied i do have something to say - the banner from the aeroplane stunt that came above Old Trafford on Saturday, IMO that has to go down has the most embarrassing protest stunt ever, i mean for 1. if your going to protest then do it outside OLD TRAFFORD not fly a plane other with a banner lol, secondly they could of bought a season ticket nevertheless they did it and it's throwed a little shadow over MUFC as an Embarrassment.
Definitely! We all get generalised as it is for being glory hunters even though most of us aren't. It's just a minority that let us down and stand out. As a club we are actually due somewhat of a 'blip' in our form and quality as every team has this. We are entitled to not have the best team 24/7 as even I would say the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and City all have better squads than us. It's a good example of if you can't support us at our worst, don't then support us at our best. True support is sticking behind Moyes. United is a club built on patience; think of the Munich air crash and how long it took us to recover; look at Fergie's first few years sitting in the shadow of Liverpool. We've been in dark times before and have always recovered.
How did this work out?
Those fucking stats at the bottom of the screen when Scholes first starts talking Holy Fuck.
lol, notice how he didn't mention Kagawa when he was talking about quality attackers.
Where are all the comments?

He's been pretty average recently, united need to change manager
Going to be very interesting in the summer when players leave and i'll bet a fair few stick the boot in and tell everyone what really has gone wrong (See Hernandez reaction at the weekend). There's obviously massive stuff going on behind the scenes as a team like ours doesn't go from 1st to 7th in just one season (transition is such a poor excuse).

Moyes asked vidic to learn from Phil Jageilga and he didn’t play Kagawa . This guy was out of his depth
david moyes is paul scholes dad
Well obv scholes wouldn't come on tv saying moyes out
Too many clubs sack managers too easily. Moyes is a good manager but needs time to move the team his own way. Personally though I do think he needs to play Kagawa more often. Who got the corner which led to the Bayern goal, laid on league goals in the following two games against Villa and Newcastle ? Kagawa will shine in the World Cup for Japan and United fans will probably ask why he didn't do that for United - Well he's not played often enough. Moyes will succeed over time.
5 years b4 feegie retired there was talk about who was gunna replace him and for me martin o'neil would have been perfect.
United shown their true colours
Prophetic
Man Utd made a mistake not sticking with Moyes, he was the closest fit to a long term type manager in the Ferguson mould. Alex Ferguson was a long term project. And Man Utd were a long term project
Everything Souness said was spot on
Paul Scholes joined the Sky Sports team for the Manchester derby, and after the match he had his say on David Moyes. Listen here to what the United legend had to say.
A few of the older manutd fans will remember everton legend kevin sheedy who manages the youth team. And this is what he said when moyes left: 1:) Moyes was never interested in the youth team 2:) He played for draws a lot.
I rest my case...
These were great times!
Shut up
I agree with Scholes.United will need a LB,1 or 2 CB,playmaker and a winger.Lots of players must leave also.
Lawnmower race in the background, far more entertaining.
XDDD
this will be along term problem for United.... before worrying about the top 4 they have to actually worry more about beating teams who just about overcome relegation every season
HIS FACE IS A POEM HAHAHAHA
Paul Scholes is right, for me he is one of the players that could become a good manager, he may not sound the smartest but he definitly knows his shit.
Why is yt recommending this now ffs.
I'm a lfc fan but I will admit. fergy was a great manager, even if I didn't like him or his club. it is remarkable though how a team with only two different players has gone from winning easily last year to this. the manager merry go round is not the answer and moyes is good even though I don't think he is good enough but time will tell whether the time he needs to build that team will be given and accepted by the fans. I hope united stay in the fight for top four still because they deserve to be there for the sake of entertainment but I'd be quite happy if they are not as clinical as they were under fergy. every great club falls from greatness for a while. these things are cyclical
Moyes should have paid attention to this. Notice how scholes so we're all the time despite being on live tv and facing criticism from loads of people as nobody is like that on tv. Moyes only ever referred to us a manchester united. Didn't set his mark on the club.
Kevin, you may in fact be correct about the players, but If Moyes couldn't get the players to play for him, then why keep him?
***** Would players perform this badly with Sir Alex still in?
***** Totally agree.
When rooney decided not to play supporting role for van persie. That was the actual start of the down fall
Scholes mis-judged that .... bit like his slide tackles.
That's a bit harsh... like his slide tackles
or..he took advantage of everyome thinling they were mistimed??
Anyone else feel like Paul Scholes was trying so hard to keep down what he really wanted to say about David Moyes?
Scholes and souness knew the writing was on the wall. It was over. No more domination no more winning. Oles at the wheel
Now he has been sacked
Scholes isnt thick, hes down to earth, a normal bloke you would meet down the pub. I know one thing, hes tighter thsn a camels arse in a sandstorm - his brother in law told me
WHAT dos he mean its not a quick fix ,there was noting wrong before moyes
What... Ferguson jumped off a sinking ship and he knew it!
Adam Dunkley well said.. Left the club with no cm's
Exactly ferguson knew that team was on its way out and needed rebuilding, having said that, accomplishing all that he has at united and being in his 70's,don't blame him for leaving last season
there was a lot of things wrong. the only reason they won the league last season is because they were lucky that there was no competition for it. this season even with ferguson in charge they would have been lucky to finish 4th with this team. ferguson knew that so he quickly jumped off the sinking ship and left it to moyes
thebeast12333 how did he quickly jump ship his in his 70s
