Wonderful reaction my friend! Anoana translates as "Protector of the land". This is suck a beautiful song and video! Here is a copy/paste from wiki about the lyrics.. "The lyrics for this piece are mainly taken from bracteates: golden, circular coins or amulets found in Northern Europe that date from the 4th to 7th centuries CE. They are often fitted with a decorated rim and loop, which indicates that they were meant to be worn and perhaps provide protection, fulfil wishes or for divination."
@@geraldh3932 my apologies mate, i was going off another video and the person made it sound like they were connected to the band. Didnt even know there was a video from them about it. RUclips search results are sh*t now. Have a good one and thnx for the correct info! 👍
@@Nulli_Di yeah correct, but that doesn't really void the first comment. We have so many bracteates who simply spell (in modern interpretation) "onion", quite a few spell "ALU" , interpreted as ale/beer (I like those...) Thing is, Heilung doesn't pretend to be historians. They may call their music "amplified history" and that's an excellent description, however; many people is biased/just see "history" in that, while "amplified" should be with large, bold letters. I attended a listening of this album on the day of its release, so I got a pamphlet with their thoughts/explanations of each song. The last sentence on Anoana is ""Runologists [experts in runes] do not even attempt a translation." They just had fun with old, forgotten words, but the meaning behind it is protection. Fun fact: The words Maria sings is from archeological finds in Norway, what Kai sings is from finds in Denmark.
Also the high pitched singing in the midpoint of the song is what is called Kulning which is an ancient herding call that was done by Nordic/Scandinavian women calling in the herds of cows and sheep and other livestock from distances to come in.
I was wrong on the interpretation. From what I hear, protecting the land. The story of anime missig teenagers is WRONG . I saw the sigil on the belly and I was thought it was a protection sigil. Thank you for watching 👀 Please sub/like of u wat more reactions like this ❤ Thank you for reading this Erinna_The_White_Rose
I had to laugh when u returned from ur search. 😄 So glad u wanted to know more & understand the story being presented. An Eclipse Ceremony. A magikal child will be born.. Land Warrior/ Protector.. Queen of the Forest. Healer. Seer. The sigils are for the childs safe birth, destiny & acceptance into the Great Cosmic Cycle.. what path will she choose with her great power & responsibility. Both Seer/ Seidr & Shaman are present. Many of the Pagan tribes were Animists, similar to First Nations & their connection to certain Totem/ Spirit Animals. Good on ya girl for digging a little deeper for more info xx
