Paul Weller the singer here is one of Britains all time great musicians. He's been on the scene since 76' and to this day puts out new and unique albums every year or 2. Highly highly recommend his music in all its glory. See him any time he comes to Chicago.
Ahh yes..Mr Paul Weller and Style Council…they are an awesome group..very soulful, new romantic type stuff…he’s was in a band before this called The Jam that was more punk..power pop driven..one of my favorite bands by the way…if you haven’t done so..you should check them out too
I remember when I was much younger going out for drinks after work and afterwards spending time at a workmates place where the funny weed was smoked and Style Council records were played alongside Blossom Dearie - that's a combination to put in your pipe & smoke !!
One of my very favourite songs...ever!! This topped the list of songs I wanted to play at my daughter's wedding, until she and her baby daddy split. She's with another lovely man who's devoted to them both, so I'm happy for them and content to bear witness as you guys discover this gorgeous song. Much love, you feel it too. Blessings.
They are one of my favorite bands! I wish they had toured the U.S. in the 80's, when they were still together! And D.C. Lee, who sang back up for Wham, had her own solo career, Paul Wellers word are beautiful, poignant, and thought provoking. Enjoy their music catalog. P.s. My ever changing moods, shout to the top, homebreakers, the paris match, internationalist, etc.
As a massive Style Council/Paul Weller/Jam fan, really great to hear reactors checking out the group. If you want some even smoother sounds from them check out 'Long Hot Summer' which will get you wanting to head to the nearest beach or your favorite area for chilling out to 😁
If you guys thought this was romantic, try Paul Weller (lead singer) singing "You do something to me"....this song isn't just romantic, it's a proven horizontally romantic song, if you get my drift?! 😎
You guys always have such a wide variety of music. I've never seen anyone react to the Style Council! In addition to their songs others suggested, listen to "Have You Ever Had It Blue" and "Speak Like a Child" (And Weller's previous band, The Jam, was also brilliant)
Shawn & Mel, you'll love their "Ever Changing Moods" and "You're The Best Thing"!! Singer Paul Weller was in a band called The Jam. Check out The Jam's banger "A Town Called Malice"!
Another vote for "Ever Changing Moods" - but I much prefer the uptempo version of the original single than the quiet piano version. The Jam are great, too; I love "This is the Modern World" for the pure punk pop adrenaline of it.
Paul is The Modfather! When he broke up The Jam, hearts were shattered - but then he launched TSC and gained a new set of Fans (many of us came of age in College, and TSC was a big part of our experience
Such a great song. Paul Weller is still performing, and he is just 🔥. He was in a group called "The Jam" which formed in 1972, and had a few hits "Going Underground" "That's Entertainment" & my fav "A Town Called Mallace". After "The Jam" disbanded in 1982, Paul weller formed "The Style Council" (along wither members of "The Jam"). There hits were this one of course & "Shout To The Top" "My Ever Changing Moods" "Long Hot Summer & "Walls Come Tumbling Down"
S&M, you need to react to one of the greatest "quiet storm" tunes ever recorded, "Shake You Down" by Gregory Abbott. You'll be amazed at how sensual this one is. ruclips.net/video/Uc8wmLul3uw/видео.html. Peace out.
Paul Weller closed down The Jam and reappeared with the Style Council where he explored using jazz influences on his musical style. PLEASE check out Broken Stones..I promise you won't be disappointed!
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is the Modfather, Paul Weller. Once you go in you won't want to come out. With The Jam, The Style Council, and on his own, Weller's penned more than 400 songs. "My Ever Changing Moods" is your next Style Council outing. Socialism with soul!
Like many on here, you can’t go wrong with Paul Weller in any part of his career. Another of my fave Style Council songs is “Headstart for Happiness”-it just makes my smile, and I think it would make you smile too.
After The Jam his first band kind of a Punk Rock band , he was about 22 years old . Came The Style Council you can see how he changed his music . Now he has 63 or 4 doing a very successful career , at least in Europe . Try to hear from his solo You Do something to me,,, a pearl of music . There are so many , Paul is a great musician over all.
these was in the 80's. so cool back then love you guys. there's not many reaction videos to music. I found your channel so cool. you dig deep in to the music and really feel it
"You're the Best Thing" is definitely one of my favorite songs by Paul Weller. My brother chose it as his wedding song a long time ago. Paul Weller has a ton of great songs, but I think you'd enjoy "Wings of Speed" in particular...
try: "It's a very deep sea", "My ever changing moods" and "The Paris Match" the version with Tracy Thorn!! Utterly beautiful. Links below... /watch?v=S646Cd5gIxY /watch?v=nZPo8If6UQI /watch?v=uAdal53PKmk
This brings me right back to high school... They had a sound of their own, very distinctive. The soundtrack of my high school years would not be the same without them.

Weller is a Mod and a Soul Boy.
As well as being a punk and britpop legend.
He's a Renaissance Man.
Paul Weller wrote some of the best "punk" songs of his day. He also proved with this he could write one of the best love songs you'll ever hear.

Paul Weller.. a talented singer song writer.. a big catalogue of quality tunes....as Mel says. a great voice.
If you want some more tuneful Weller songs.....try Above the Clouds or Broken Stones, superb tracks both.

English Rose by the Jam is outstanding. Big fan of the Style Council since the 80's.
No members of The jam in TSC apart from Weller
How many things did you aim to get wrong there?

Y’all!! Think I’ve had all of the same reactions listening to The Style Council since 1984.

Paul Weller is a genius song writer. Definitely recommend " Long Hot Summer" or " My ever changing Mood".
Long hot summer and Angel with his ex wife Dee Cee Lee is magic. She sang with Style Council and they have kids together; their voices blend so well !
I HIGHLY SUGGEST "EVER CHANGING MOODS" FROM STYLE COUNCIL.
Love the Style Council. Their best song is “My Ever Changing Moods”. Great blue-eyed soul music from the UK!
100% with you, but the piano album version.
