- In this video we're checking out Paul Weller once more. His music has really impressed us so far, in his work with The Jam, The Style Council, and his solo projects. Amazing. We're looking forward to this. Enjoy!

Not a cover, it's a master class of songwriting you sit and listen to, you hear all the inspired artist Weller listened to and soaks them up and takes bits from
That comment stung! The disrespect to Paul was astounding.
ironically, when i first heard pauls album "studio 150" it completely went over my head that it was a album full of covers, and i eneded up assuming those songs where his. And to be honest, I still think his versions on that album are the best. But im bias, been a big weller fan most of my life
Best songwriter of his generation by miles
the changing man, sunflower, peacock suit, broken stones, wild wood, out of the sinking, hung up are all absolute classics by weller!
And he;s a Woking Boy too!
The riff for Changing man is a straight rip from ELO's, 90125 Overture. Paul allegedly said to his co writer, Brendan Lynch, who came up with it, "If they sue it's coming out of your royalties."
PW is one of the greatest ever
First song at my wedding. Beautiful tune
Incredible single from one of the UKs best.
It's not a cover as others have said. The album Stanley Road which You Do Something to me is from is pretty good. For me though, my favourite Paul Weller solo albums are his first two, the eponymous debut & Wildwood, plus Livewood is a great album too. If you did a reaction to the live version of Shadow of the Sun from the Livewood video, it would be fascinating to hear your reaction. I was fortunate to see him on that same tour & that for me is Paul at his peak & his best live band with Steve White on drums Steve Craddock guitar, Yolande Charles on Bass & Helen Turner on keyboards. Keep up your interesting reactions.
Paul Weller is a national treasure. One of England’s finest ever artists. So many different styles across 6 decades. Check out his recent lp’s. A Kind Revolution, On Sunset, Fat Pop, True Meanings. Lp’s crammed full of genius songs.
Recommend listening .. Gravity, Soul Searchers, Cobweb Connections, Village, Glad Times, New York, The Cranes are Back, Rockets, Mirrorball, Baptiste, Old Father Tyme, Walkin , Books, May Love Travel with you, Movin On, Devotion …I could go on …. The man is a genius
We did Fat Pop for Patreon. It's exclusively for our Patreon members. It's only $3 per month if you want to check it out. We added your other requests to our list.
This is not a cover there’s only 1 Paul weller 👍👍❤️❤️
One of the greatest musicians, very talented great songwriter classy tune very good live, Heavy Soul a very good album after Stanley Road, thanks
We did his latest album on our Patreon channel. We were really impressed by it.
Listen to English Rose by The Jam. Weller is a lyrical genius.
This song is amazing. His best mellow track ever but Weller has an ear for melody that burns through his music
Such a beautiful song. Reminds me of The bluest blues by Alvin Lee.
A classic of Wellers solo career is his live version of “brand new Start “ a song I love playing myself
Thanks for that. Paul Weller is something of a legend in the UK. Here are 2 more songs you should take a listen to. On Sunset and Rockets. Both taken from the On Sunset album.
Great artist, Paul Weller, whether solo or with 'The Jam' or 'The Style Council', other tracks by him as a solo artist to react to, 'The Changingman', and 'Wild Wood'. I'll check out your poll too, thank you.
Only cover he done as a single release was the Rose Royce song wishing on a star and he did a stellar !! ho ho version of that tune.
It's written in the stars with lyrics (or without) is amazing.
Paul has never in any connatation made a bad record. Just great music, music 101.
what a f..king song this man is a f..king genius
Listen to English Rose + Lisa Radley by The Jam this blokes a legend.
Agreed. Also Tonight at Noon and Fly. The ultimate in love for a woman.
Love this track and love everything Paul has done from The Jam onwards. Many thanks for putting this one out.
One of his songs, he rarely released covers, he would do some live but only released his own songs as singles. Highly recommend Changing Man from his solo work, also Ever Changing Moods from The Style Council but you can't go wrong with Paul Weller, a true legend of songwriting. Private Hell from The Jam as well, though that was an album track. It was written about a woman trapped in a loveless marriage, he wrote it as a young lad, not sure if he was still a teen but close to it.
Majestic
One of his best solo songs.
So enjoyable!
His upbeat track “UH HUH OH YEAH” is worth a listen
Love your reviews always kind and fair thanks chris and cynthia
Fantastic Album.
Genius
Genuinely nice song from the serious man of UK rock. The influences of Peter Green & Snowy White are there to hear....
You should react to one off his more recent songs like On Sunset to see if you think he is still producing the goods.
This was written by Paul Weller. You may have heard someone else covering his song.
Likely that. Or maybe it was in a movie. We watch a lot of movies.
It's his song and to his wife at the time (who was famous in her own right) the black lady in the video
First time listening this song but it’s really good.
They did big boss groove.
Sorry, reply not meant for you!!
You should listen to the Paul Weller & Suggs collaboration single "OOH DO U FINK U R"
✊🏻❤️🕴
It's written by Paul Weller

Thanks as usual :)
I think you may have missed his Style Council years.
They did big boss groove
Broken stones 👌
Paul wrote this song
This and pebbles on the beach are Weller originals but saying that and so does he, both are influenced by the 60’s & 70’s band Traffic.
It's not a cover paul wrote it check out into tomorrow I love the songs sunflower and have you made up your mind both beautiful songs
Skunk Anansie did a great cover of this....
A cover?! Not from the main man! Weller is the man!
We felt like we had heard it before.
Written about John Lennon!
And yes, superb solo. Very underrated guitarist.
It is not a cover
