  • This Ashtapadi is taken from the 8th Sarga of Gitagovindam of Jayadeva. Here Radha Is waiting eagerly for Krishna’s arrival and spent that night with heavy heart because she was hit by Cupid's arrows. Krishna appears before Radha out of thin air, on the next day morning. But Radha, on seeing his appearance and apologetic look, starts to rave at him thus “Oh Krishna, your appearance shows that you kept awake last night. Your eyes are red and tired. You spent the previous night with some other woman. Oh Madhava, enough of your false stories. Please go to that woman who made you happy. You roam in Brindavan woodlands only to wolf down womenfolk; which is not at all surprising; your childhood legends amply explain that you are a lady-killer, as in the case of your killing demoness Pootana... Be off.”
