Oscar Duarte is a good fighter. No shame bro. You did your best. Am a fan of Duarte now.
One huge flaw I saw in his previous fights before this one is he had a weak/lazy defensive guard. He'd drope his left hand low alot especially when he throws his lunging left hooks. But in this fight he really fixed that and you didnt really ser that at all, his guard for the most part was really solid! Which is why he was able to tank much of Ryans onslaughts. He did a lot better than i thought, and had a good chance against Ryan. If ryan continued to fight like his old self and didnt get on his bicycle this guy wouldve probably land some deciscive blows.

Looking at the knockout highlights of Duarte's previous fights, this guy has relentless Canelo-like power and aggressiveness. The only thing he's missing is exposure I think they tried to introduce him to the boxing community as the next Canelo Alvatez via this fight with Ryan Garcia, a low risk fight against a high profile non-chamion boxer. Unfortunately, the result didn't go in his favor.

Its impossible to win when your opponent is allowed to turn their back to you and you get penalized when attempting to take advantage of it. This was disgusting.
True, everytime he landed a headshot on Ryan, Ryan would angle his head to where he was hitting the back of Ryan's head. Wasn't his fault at all, that was more of Ryan's doing due to how he angles his body and head when hit to where it's nearly impossible to not hit him in the back of the head. The ref also wouldn't let him get in his groove against Ryan
