    A blast from the past , where my wife works at now was JC Pennys back when I was a kid in the basement was the toys that’s where I saw it the Cox Stuka I had to have it , Santa brought it to me that Christmas flew it once and crashed but sure does bring back memories and the sound of that engine starting 👍

    That’s an amazing find! My first flying plane as a kid was a Cox .049 Corsair that I got for Christmas in the 70s. I would fly (and crash) it in the local parks and school fields. I went on to building a couple more control line planes out of balsa wood with .049 engines. Great memories.

    WOOLCO in a long time
    Yep, I remember those gas powered control planes…
    Later issued boxes had a clear top, ( maybe different co. ). Seen them at SEARS TOPS the HOBBY CENTER stores we had in TOLEDO OHIO…
    Well I’m GEEKED finding your channel and your website…
    Maybe some day I can make up to visit your store

      Thanks Chris. I practically grew up in Woolco. It was the main store in our local shopping centre. It had a huge hobby department in the late 60s into the early 70s.

    By coincidence I just had mine in my hands checking it out, also from 1977. It has never been flown and it will probably stay like that. Purchased at "Toys 'R' US" and has a price tag of $13.97 (Todays price in 2023 would be $77.19). This was my favorite of all Cox planes. I also had the Cox blue version Airacobra. Fun times.....

    Bad Ass! I had a chrome mustang broke off strings crashed in front of my friend's parent-s house!! GOOD MEMORIES EAGLE

      Was that a fuel powered car? I remember Estes rockets doing really fast drag cars that ran along a string.
