the horror! Dogs lost somewhere in the wild. So glad the story has a good ending. You're a great musher and great person with a big heart for your animals!
Chris im a proffesional dog trainer from Greece i just found your channel im so jealus of you and your lifestyle , keep up the nice videos and work of yours ,Thank you and i wish you the best
Thanks! I'm no professional! I cringe to think of the things you're seeing I'm doing wrong! But that's fine. The dogs are sweet teachers! And we might have a couple new pups coming our way in a few months....
Just the thought of you losing your dogs had a tear in my eyes. My husky decided to go for a walk and never came home. He was gone for 2 months. Heard on the radio that someone had found a husky. He was so excited to see me. He never went far after that
This happens with me and my husky shephard mix nearly every week. You never really get used to it. I once lost one of my other dogs, an Alaska Husky, in Colorado after a bull moose. She ran off with her lead attached and was gone for over a day in a wilderness area! I was thinking about getting radio/shock collars like you have. I was wondering what brand you use and what you think of them?
We use Sport Dog. The products performed excellently. But after literally having to beat a dog off that was dangling from a young moose's neck, we have almost entirely curtailed free running.
I love your videos, but this is why I would never dream of letting a dog off leash without an e collar, no matter how much I trusted them. I would suggest looking into getting e collars and properly conditioning your dogs to them. They are lifesavers. I can call my dog off chasing a rabbit with a tap of the e collar on a level 10. (keep in mind the collar goes up to 100 as I have a mini educator and most people can't feel the sensation until level 15+)
Oh yeah, we have them! Three problems, though: 1. GPS signal often weak or missing where we live. 2. batteries die quickly in the extreme cold 3. products like "tiles" rely on enough people being around with the app to find your stuff: not so many people in many of the places we go But two of the puppies wear them if they're off leash. I still use them. I think they're great products for most people, and they are useful often enough that they aren't wastes of money, even here.

@@puncAF great!!!!
i love your videos. keep going. such amazing videos. i love them so much. your dogs are so gorgeous.
Thanks! You're too kind! But I appreciate the comments, and I'll pass on your compliments to the dogs.
Good way to train your pups to comeback is a whistle while feeding time. They normally comeback. Practice makes perfect.

Hello Chris, do you have more video”s te share? I have sleddogs too, and i live in Holland
I like to talk to you about them.
The music is very sad. How will you change your walks in the future?
I dont think I can have all four dogs running loose. I don't know. I need to talk to some other mushers who have been doing this longer.
I think swearing more might have helped, you should try it. And while wolves have been spotted in the gold stream valley, so have aliens. Cute dogs!
Wait. Are you seriously saying they might have been chasing aliens? You've been on that bike too long....
Or maybe aliens abducted your dogs!

You have electronic collars. Why haven't you broke the dogs from Moose?
