I have a new MSI Mag b550 pro tomahawk wifi board and I thought I had a bad stick of RAM at first so I ordered 2 more. If I put the ram in like it's supposed to go I get a red CPU light and no boot. I'm going to talk to MSI today and see what they say. I just hate having to tear my rig all the way back apart after I just got it all looking how I wanted. If MSI can't give me a answer I guess I'll send it back but I'm definitely going to look at my CPU very well. It's not a cheap one a ryzen 7 5800x but wouldn't a diagnostic test show if it's a RAM slot issue or a CPU issue. Also I did put a little too much thermal paste when I assembled it so some may have gotten to the pins. Im also going to yry my old cpu a ryzen 5 3600 and see if it will boot then before i tear it all apart and send it back.

Mine only 2 slots work like I have 4 in total but when. I try to put known good ram in the mobo it won't boot and Ik it supports up to 32 like the 1 and 4 slot works but 2 and 3 don't
@@bug-juice2728 There's no solution it's just how your computer works, some pcs depending on if their 32bit or 64bit can only support certain types of ram sticks, like for most dell Optiplex support up to 8gb ram in the white slots and 4gb in the black

unfortunately you can't use 4 rams here because he did is just jumper the other ram slot it's still the same it is detected all working but it's like ram 4 is like 1-2-3 = ram number 4 slot
You don't know shit and your comment is misleading. In the video he has shown that the ram slot 1 to 3 were missing VSS (3.3V supply), hence any ram stick that were inserted in these slots couldn't be initialized by the bios and the cpu. The jumper fixed this missing VSS. It will not cause a burn or damage the ram slot or the ram stick unless the jumper was soldered to the wrong pins.
Can u please explain in detail what u did on the back of the motherboard with the wire and what did it fix? Recently my ram slots got damaged bcoz i stupidly inserted a ddr2 ram in a ddr3 slot which resulted in only one slot working and remaining 3 slots not working. The repairman fixed it by what u did at the back of the motherboard. I just want an explanation of how this works?
Earlier i had 2 GB RAM so i bought a new 2 GB RAM to make it 4 GB in total but the new RAM is not detected, PC stills shows only 2 GB RAM. Can you help me with it?

it might work.... what he did here is jump pin 118 , that is SCL signal that is common to all ram slots.
