Yoooo I was at the derby, the atmosphere and energy from the actual stadium was on another level. It was a big party/club at the stadium with 2 different DJs and music blasting. Bad Bunny even came out with the trophy, it was super lit at DS, these announcers blow the derby was super fun.
Might win it next year in Seattle who knows havent placed the wager yet since it's pretty obvious but so were the Bucs & Rams hosting & winning a fucken 5 year old could've predicted.

I know Soto won but Rodriguez performance was way better. 81 home runs to 53 home runs. I consider the real winner to be Rodriguez. I would rather hit 81 with no trophy than to hit 53 with the trophy.
@@johnre5342 that’s how it is in HR derby. The best doesn’t always win the derby. He did too much in the early rounds and didn’t have enough in him in the finals. It’s how you do in the final and Soto did better in the final. Soto saved himself enough energy to beat him. Don’t get me wrong, Rodriguez did really well but give credit to Soto too. He’s also one of the best hitters in the MLB at such a young age.

I'm not complaining about the winner, so don't take it that way. I think they need to change the method of how they did it. In order to be able to have a true winner to decide which team gets home field advantage, there has to be a fair way to choose. Ending up like we did this time with 2 American League players won't do it. The same would be true if it would have been 2 National league players. I think we should have all the American League players play each other and all the National League players play each other until we get to the final round. That way it will end up with a National League player and an American League player playing each other; which would most definitely allow for a fair way to decide which team gets home field advantage.
@@thekiid3 I rather see less HRs and a more entertaining Home Run Derby. The MLB should consider a pitching machine and award points based on where the ball is hit in the stadium. It should be a skills competition sort of like how the NFL does the Pro Bowl. I think it’ll be a little more entertaining. My thing is it doesn’t hurt to try something different. It doesn’t work out that’s okay.
