Im half way with B. I don't feel the urge to go back and listen to this album but when I do I'm reminded why it's great and can listen to it from start to finish.
Feefo hinted at what could be an interesting conversation when he said "you cant create this album off "send me some beats" you have to compose this". Schoolboy q said in an interview for Blue Lips that he considers himself to be more of a producer than rapper cos even though he doesn't make the beats directly, hes still composing/organising the whole song. I think it shows how much the genre has evolved from the traditional idea of Dj makes the beat and Mc raps over the beat.
Ken and Myke always doubted Tyler’s Grammy predictions yet he won best rap album for the last 2 albums he’s dropped. (Also was nominated for Flower boy before that)
@@rickys12they weren’t doubting him because of talent, it was the content and the type of music Tyler was making that ppl were saying they can’t see him win a Grammy. Now wipe your mouth
Ken, a composer is someone who writes music. Non-musical people just don't use that term in modern society, so it sounds more grandiose. You don't have to be writing classical music to be a composer.
Shoutout to Feefo and Rod. They saw the potential this man had always had, and he's showing it to y'all, he's been showing it to y'all. I will never understand why Myke and Ken always keep doubting him if he can win a Grammy which he did two times, and was nominated for Flower Boy.
I’m SUPER glad that Beezy agrees that Cherry Bomb is the most underrated album!! I feel if we only account for production alone, Cherry Bomb & Chromakopia deserve Top 3 in Tyler’s discography 🔥🔥
Sorry, gotta disagree on the production part when it comes to Cherry Bomb. That album would be a lot better if he actually bothered to mix the thing properly

I really wanted to see what you guys thought about Tyler’s mom revealing that she intentionally kept Tyler away from his father all this time on this album. Especially given that his father not being in his life is a big part of him being the artist he is today + It really changes how you view certain songs on previous albums where he’s dissing his father so much
Yea I checked a lot of other reactors to see what they thought of that part too. I don’t think it’s as negative as people are taking it tho. I had the same situation growing up and my mother said the same thing. Now that I’m an adult with a kid, I know the truth. The only thing that would keep me from my kid would be jail, and that would be on me. So her blaming herself is a natural thing people do when they have no other answers to give. It wasn’t really Tyler’s mom’s fault, she just feels like it was.
Great album- didn’t like it on first listen but realised how layered it is how pretty it is at times - Tyler’s rapping is on point when he’s going for it and I think a large part of that is he’s singing when he wants to so he’s rapping when he wants to RAP - vocal layering was great - just under MBDTF level to me - the lyrics cut into my heart at time with tomorrow and like him - just magnificent all around - gets better the more I listen to it

And now we are at Chromakopia, which feels like a response to the people that said, "All Tyler did on his last album was rap about his wealth and status," as this album is the opposite of that. Chromakopia is incredibly personal, vulnerable, and introspective. I can't wait to see what's next for him.
