This is one of those tunes where I wish I had been sat in a corner listening to it being recorded. This stereo remix is solid! Elvis for everyone! Thanks, Radio Wollaton!
Love the catchy guitar riff, punchy piano lines(Boogie-Woogie),and dynamic percussion capturing Elvis Presley at his most electrifying. A timeless Rock n Roll Anthem that cemented his image as a Cultural Icon. Thanks Dad for letting me stack these records on your phonograph record player. Thank you Sir Radio Wollaton for masterwork on remix. 🎧🎹🎹🥁🥁🎸🎸🎙️👍👏🏻
It has so much depth now and punch. I hear things I never heard before..Why can’t the folks at RCA do this type of mastering instead of those flat, dull mixes. This recording sounds as if it was made yesterday!! You are the best at what you do!!
So great to hear all these great old songs modernised with the latest technology, giving them new life and keeping it alive and as it was released. Keep doing what your doing 🙌🙌👍👍
Just back from my yoga class and now this masterpiece! I wish I had had headphones on during yoga. My exercises would have much more rock power 😉 And now "Lawdy Miss Clawdy". Thank you Pat for this outstanding remix.
First two chords are unmistakeable and is there anybody who does not know what is coming? Your backing track on this Pat is just so powerful and the guitars and drums are just awesome. This is my second favourite Elvis fifties rock 'n' roll track after Don't Be Cruel. Can picture the film scene to the song as I listen. Did you have to add instrumentation to the backing track to get that sound? So good on the ears!
Hi Matthew, sorry for the delay in replying, only just spotted your message. I use Steinberg Wavelab and sometimes on other remixes I'll use Cubase as well.

There's no need to do a fake mix on the mono master. There exists, and was officially released, a 2-track version of Jailhouse Rock. It's hard-panned left and right, and only existed to create the mono master, but it has separate elements that should make it easier for AI to create a more convincing stereo mix. It's been on CD a couple times, but can't remember the titles.
I have that one in my collection. Unfortunately the instrumental part is completely different. Some people have replaced that part with the segment from the mono version, but the end result is not good. I often use the mono version as the base for a remix, even though a true stereo version exists. This is because the sound quality of the mono version is often much better. Phil Spector stereo mixes, for example, sound so terrible that I got a much better sounding stereo mix by starting with the mono versions !
It isn't really made clear that this is not purely the original record, but a new instrumental background overdubbed atop the original. To call it a remix is misleading.

Thanks for all the feedback Walter, glad you're enjoying my remixes !

Thanks Dan 👍👍
I love how the two main chords carry over to the vocals and give it a haunting reverberation… outstanding!! Gives this song the grandeur it deserves…
Thanks for all the recent feedback Dan. Of all the Elvis remixes I've done, I think this is the one I'm most pleased with !

Do you think you can make one of “Blue Suede Shoes” by Elvis Presley. That’d be awesome 🤩
Yes, I will have a go !

Wow, This sounds different and good, Pat.
Thanks Bill. Most other remixes are based on the existing stereo versions. I used the mono version. And it does make a difference !

Yes Henry, I beefed up the instrumentation on both channels to get the sound I was after !
D.J. Fontana and Scotty Moore designed the opening tonal colour to reflect convicts breaking rocks in a prison yard.
Do the movie version!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Damn impressive quality. How Elvis should sound in stereo. What did you use to make this remix?
Hi Matthew, sorry for the delay in replying, only just spotted your message. I use Steinberg Wavelab and sometimes on other remixes I'll use Cubase as well.
The warden threw a party in the county jail
The prison band was there and they began to wail
The band began to-jumping. they began to swing
You should have heard the knock down jailbird sing
Let's rock, everybody, let's rock
Oh, Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancing to the Jailhouse Rock
Spider Murphy played on the tenor saxophone
Little Joe was blowin' on a slide trombone
The drummer boy from Illinois went crash, boom, bang
The whole rhythm section was the Purple Gang
Number forty-seven said to number three
You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see
I sure would be delighted with your company
So come on and do the Jailhouse Rock with me
Sad Sack was sittin' on a block of stone
Way over in the corner weepin' all alone
The warden said, "Hey, buddy, don't you be no square
If you can't find a partner use a wooden chair"
Shifty Henry said to Bugs, for heaven’s sake,
No one’s lookin’, now’s our chance to make a break
Bugsy turned to Shifty and he said, nix nix,
I wanna stick around a while and get my kicks
