Bamborra is legitimately a great little coaster. It's got some great turns, and it is the smoothest coaster I have ever ridden. It's like glass.

I agree completely it’s super underrated!

I love Lagoon and it's history. We go all summer long.

Oh me too! Sometimes we don’t even ride rides we just walk around pioneer village! 😃

I would absolutely love if they installed a well themed mining coaster to replace log flume back in pioneer village. This would be perfect because it shouldn’t make too much noise. I would also love a GCI wooden coaster.

That’s a great idea! I was saying the other day that something like big thunder mountain at Disney would be awesome there!

I was just watching a video the other day about an amusement park called Pixieland in Oregon. It was built as a small disney like park for the North West. It no longer exists mostly because it was built in the middle of what became a bird/wildlife sanctuary and because it was almost in the middle of nowhere. All traces of this park have been removed. What does this have to do with Lagoon in Utah? It was mentioned that only two remnants/rides, were left of Pixieland and both were now at Lagoon in Utah. One was the train and the other the log flume which was their first big ride. I haven't been to Lagoon in quite a long time but I remember the log flume as one of the few rides I liked. I didn't realize it is closed. It's sad to think that something that has so much history is gone.

    Some comments on things:
Yes, Engine 39 (the fire truck ride) is really cool.
Yes, they are building a north parking lot (and it's my understanding that they will also put a north entrance into the park as part of that), though at the time of this writing (June 2024) I haven't heard how big the north parking lot is going to be or when it is expected to open.
I know they're planning on rebuilding Scamper (the kiddie bumper car ride), though not in its original location (they're building an ice cream parlor there). I have not heard just where Scamper version 2.0 is going, yet.
Shoot-The-Chutes was actually Lagoon's first ride (boats went out into the lagoon that is the basis for Lagoon's name). There was also an Aqua Ski Boats attraction on the lagoon. Both haven't been around in many years, though.
I also think that they'll be doing something new on the site of the old Log Flume ride, for the same reasons. (Though apparently it may not be Log Flume version 2.0, as Lagoon is reporting on social media that they have no "immediate plans" - their words - for a new log flume).

That’s some really good info! I am digging around to see if I can find pics of that shoot-the-chutes. 😃

I haven't been to lagoon in years. It got away to expensive for what they have. We used to go every summer but there's no way without some kind of discount or not having 3 jobs or having a high paying job could a blue collared family actually enjoy EVERYTHING there. O.C Tanners where my mom worked for 40 years did a free lagoon day. Associated foods used to.

The best deal these days that I've seen in recent years is when Lagoon does its Black Friday sale. Starting in the later part of November, they put the season passport on sale (I think it's a little over $40 off per season passport) and in December they put the single day tickets on sale for a little over $20 off (I buy the single day tickets, which is why I'm not as sure about the sales prices on the season passports). There are a few other deals and offers, but none of them are quite as much off.

I haven't been for a few years. I really want to check out the newer rides. I have awesome memories going a lot as a kid. I liked the hauted hoise and terror rides the most. I remember going on the puff kids coaster a lot too. Is that still there?

So its 97 dollars for a day pass not sure on parking but i would guess about 40 dollars expect to spend at least 100 dollars for 4 people to eat one meal ! Samurai and the swing chairs are not working this year ( 2024 ) they are taking out most os the games and putting in new roller coasters for 2025 ! The log ride in pioneer village is gone but they are planning on putting in a new better one !! Its 40 dollars for a picture in pioneer village ( but worth it ) 5 dollars for tube rentals in lagoona beach ! Also if you live in utah it is worth getting a season pass because it cost 190 but if you go 2 times it more than pays for it ! Anyways thats my input if you have any questions please feel free to ask !!

    • @thexpproject
      @thexpproject  Месяц назад

Completely agree about the pass I have already been 10 times this year and it’s paid for!

I've been a handful of times when I was a kid and I absolutely hated it. Later found out I'm Agoraphobic so it makes sense why I cannot stand a crowd of people. If you like amusement parks go! You'll have a blast! But, If you're Agoraphobic or Autistic I would say stay home! It's sensory overload!!
