TheBrawlingBrothers so funny.the horn was missed by me at first .i had to go back and saw he used it a lot.and it's such a pathetic sounding horn too . it's just such fun and interesting music . i love it .i hope they do much more.
bill hicks was censored from letterman's show, in the very spot maynard's standing. for talking about jesus and a handicapped person at the height of "fundamentalist christians ...in the fucking white house". well, few years later, as he was dying. just before he died, censored by letterman. google it >>> "letterman bill hicks mom" ...i like to think that was near the forefront of mjk's mind that night.
Within the first few seconds of hearing a song. You just know, that this is going to be a awesome song. The music and the lyrics just all clicks together. This song right here. Is a prime example of that.
Nah, I think it was more about the time frame... If he kept shaking hands and congratulating people for too long it would throw out the rhythm of the outro. I'm sure he shook hands with the bassist after this clip ended.
K Z dude I I literally posted the same comment a few weeks ago on a reaction video for Tool. But I added " if so the omnipotent ones who created us would come back and say it's about damn time" lol. But honestly if you got all those guys on one track that one track would be an hour long of EPIC 😲
He’s the best. Maynard is the best. He gets the entire industry in a way not many ever had and has had decades of fun just making fun of em and making music that’s just different or interesting and still being a massive star. Amazing. Shows how much TOOL is loved
Watching Letterman with my folks was some of my favorite memories growing up. The moment he left was the beginning of the death of cable. I wish I woulda caught this live. I’ve been a Tool fan since 2006, but I didn’t find APC or Puscifer til after I graduated in 2012. Conditions is probably still my favorite album they’ve made, but they’re all amazing honestly. Carina Round is the icing on the cake.
Such a versatile frontman... He's even covered Elton John's Rocket Man and did a stupendous job of it. Seen Tool perform at Download and the Birmingham arena. It would be a real treat to see these guys play too😎😎😎😎😎😎
Leave it to Maynard to strip Paul of his everliving dorkyness and do something effing cool....Paul was thinking "What a RELIEF" I have faith that Paul could pull out some really cool shit in collaboration with TOOL...IMHO
i am still hoping that someday they will release a remix of this song feat. Paul Schaeffer.. it'll be such a phenomenal mix.. CONDITIONS OF MY PAROLE (Schaeffer Mix)
In this video, the female singer is Carina Round. Milla Jovovich, the actress, model and singer, has done some stuff with Maynard/Puscifer. You can even see her in the movie about Maynard's winery, Blood Into Wine. Well worth watching.
Puscifer itself is a collective with a revolving cast of musicians, so it makes sense to ask Paul to play. The band was originally going to be a collaboration with Trent Reznor but he was busy with his other band How to destroy Angels and Atticus Ross.
So I just read every comment to this point and only one mentioned Mat Mitchell. He got next to nothing for camera footage and yet he is such a huge part of this band. I hope that was a request by them instead of just focusing on everyone else. Mat you rock.
Tool was Maynard putting everyone in a hypnotic mind melding trance right before A Perfect Circle, where he blows everybody’s mind with his raw intense talent, and then Puscifer is sort of a funny little afterthought.
Mr. Matt McJunkins on bass! The dude is so awesome! Plays in numerous stellar bands and can walk down the street without anyone recognizing him. (save me of course)
"Help me out of this......... PAUL SCHAEFFER!"
Never gets old.
Yes!
So bad ass, and ol Pauly just goes off the rails as a result!
@@Switcharoo12you nailed it 👍👍👍
Facts!!
I actually backed up that part to hear it again lol.
So good , Pauly looked like he was loving it....Create cameo
I love how Maynard had a little horn on his mic to censor himself. Little things like that make me laugh. He's the man.
Lol ya that was the best part
Hggh hcdhdhevsu

Tbh I mainly clicked on the video just to hear David Letterman say Puscifer.
Mike O puh sif her
Same lol
Me too lmaon
Your not alone
Oh god same
Whenever I hear the studio version of this song, i mentally insert the Paul Shaffer synth solo at the end.
Same here.
i even say Paul Shaffer at the end
+Bryson Stoner i always come back for that solo
It was the cherry on the top
how can you not?!?!?!?
Paul Schaefer's synth solo at the end was straight up the rule.
Absolute magnum chad with the synth solo at the end, completely makes the performce
Sounded like Emerson lake and Palmer
Paul Schaeffer holy crap. What a monster musician.
Dude, you think that was planned?
@@joshuahershberger4120 planned or not, dude can shred on the keys
Fun fact: Paul Shaffer co-wrote the song “It’s Raining Men”
Paul rips one of the coolest synthesizer solos ever !
Joshua Hershberger who gives a shit if it was planned or not? Fuckin jabroni
Props to the man screaming "yeah" over the rest of the audience in the beginning if the song and the end

Just like in the Eric Andre Show
I love how you can tell when Letterman actually enjoys a band
Never thought I would see the day Paul Schaffer would be jammin' with Puscifer! We live in a wonderful country!
My favourite song by these guys. One of my favourites in general. Always stick this on in the jukebox
i heard alot of people yell out "help me out of this paul shaffer" at the concert in houston haha
Love the drums in this performance
Paul Shaffer was in puscifer. Even if was only in one song
"featuring"
Bruh, this fucking synth solo? I can't unhear it now.
Crazy
Paul Shaffers dope, if you used to watch the tonight show he would play tool and APC all the time on breaks/guests.
@@MetaLeir93 Yeah, that was pretty incredible. I didn't know he was THAT good :-)

Rafael Hannah listen to "the remedy"
It's funny cause it's not even a joke. Just a talented, intellectual person who likes to take risks.
@@fall_asleep actually puscifer started as a joke on a show called "mr show" in the 90's
Clever Metaphor mr. show is great. The interview one is my favorite!
it may have started as a joke (the name) but the music is far from it.
Letterman's like, "That was cool! I enjoyed that! very nice!" He looked genuinely surprised that he liked it.

"help me out of this Paul Shaffer" Is probably the most tragic cry for help I've ever heard.
Paul Shaffer is Maynard's last hope and last line of defense.
😂😂😂
Within the first few seconds of hearing a song. You just know, that this is going to be a awesome song. The music and the lyrics just all clicks together.
This song right here. Is a prime example of that.
We think one of the coolest things about this song is his letting Paul Shaffer finish it. Pretty cool.
That drum fill at 1:16 - awesome!
The drums all together lol
Maynards dancing gets me everytime XD
That Paul solo was Insane!.....
even Maynard like It.
Does Maynard say that’s crazy at the end & Paul thanks him? I think that’s what the exchange was hopefully somebody with better ears can help lol
@@rickg5597 Maynard was away from the mic when "thank you" was said, but I believe he may have said, "that's crazy."
He's a weirdo. That's what makes him awesome.
Oh, and don't forget his incredible voice and musical composition skills in general.
He's got a really damn amazing voice even live
Its kinda eerie how this sounds just like the album version and it's not a lip synch. And the keyboard solo was a resourceful addition.
I firmly believe, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that Maynard is actually saying "Paul, Shave Her!"
It's a bald thing
I have always been in love with Maynards vocals. Good song also!
Awesome song from one of the true geniuses of our era, MJK. Paul kills the keyboard improv at the end....great performance.
Paul Schaffer putting in work on those keys YES.
Love them. They’re killin it here. Jeff is amazing.
It’s 2020 and we’re all the guy who warbles “YEAAAAHHHHHH” and the intro and end of this

daaamn i miss david letterman i used to watch him alot when i was a kid.. Carina is a beeeaut!
i love this track. it has such a cool sound to it
LOL 3:26 the bassist didn't get the handshake by letterman and so he watches him with a deep thinking of murder.

She’s thick and that’s fucking hot!
little too thick
Yeah, I guess...
If you like gorgeous brunettes who dance around seductively.
