Great tutorial about selecting/ adding effects. How do I remove ones I don’t need from the sub menu? I added de-Esser 1:33 twice , now can’t remove it!
Great video! One thing i did notice when setting mine up is that my Blue Yeti Pro Mic only shows one channel for it. Is this how its supposed to be? I think mine also only comes out of left side speaker but for you i see the green bars going up on both sides when speaking
hi mike i would like to know i dont understand what the EQ exactly mean i would like to do a show with musicians and im scared the sound will go too low or too high and would like to put it all on the same level and i would like to know how to do it?
Hi, it's not EQ you need for achieving the same level but compression. I'd suggest checking out this video as a starting point to help you understand the basics ruclips.net/video/3rQTgH8xpZA/видео.html
The microphone is mono, the scarlet 2i2 has two mono outputs, output 1 is input 1 and output 2 is input 2. You either need to force Wirecast to recognise it as mono or select Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 inputs 1 and 2
Idk if you mean this, I had the same problem I only got left side audio(I use the scarlett 18i20). Solution: In the audio layer, double click to open properties, go to audio properties tab and there you will see some controls, here enable R from channel 1 and disable R from channel 2. I hope I've been helpful
To get that, click on ur microphone on wirecast layer and then go to audio properties (see audio icon) on the top left corner. Under channels, check the Ls Rs in 1&2.
Hi Mike wondering if you can help, using Wirecast Play and the green bar- showing that listeners can hear me, keeps cutting out totally, meaning have to set up again, would that be Wirecast or equipement, thanks Did you use to be a DJ with Time106.6FM in Slough?
@@MikeRussell When you say audio device would that be the mixer i'm using or the usb cable? Drivers on the laptop? Don't know if you'll remember me but it's Adrian from Blockbuster, did the War of the Workforce a couple of times, and then did after match reports for Slough Town FC on the Saturday sports show you started. Basically i now do live commentary of the Slough games through RUclips, all down to you Sir Mnay thanks
Hey Adrian! Yes, of course I remember you on War of the Workforce. That is great news you're following your dream on RUclips with the Slough games too. I'd take a look at the website for your sound device to see if there are updated drivers to download. If still issues perhaps reach out to their support and find out if it's a known issue. Good luck!
It was an immediate difference that I noticed and one of my favorite streamers gave me feedback about my mic and again I thank the stars I found your video I love using wirecast and I was afraid that would not be able to find a tutorial about this since not a lot of streams use this platform in which is a shame I love this software
Fabulous video Mike. Is it possible to get a printed copy of your recommended Wirecast Audio Mixer settings that you covered in the video? Superb effort that I have not seen anyone else tackle. Cheers!
Yes, you can send audio from a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) to Wirecast by creating a virtual audio device within your computer's audio settings and routing the DAW output to that device.
@@MikeRussell Our live output comes from a mixer to Scarlett to Wirecast and then the pre-recorded videos are loaded into Wirecast. Would I use the loudness or limiter effect for each source and adjust them to match each other. Thank you.
Can use this in conjunction with a streaming app. I use Streamlabs OBS right now will this work that? Thanks in advance love the videos they’ve helped me greatly
These audio effects are specific to Wirecast Pro. However, I'm pretty sure OBS allows you to add on some audio effects too. I'm not sure if the Streamlabs version has this but it should if it's a copy of the original OBS with some minor tweaks.
Hello...we are currently using wirecast for our live streaming and recently upgraded our soundboard. We are now unable to pick up any sound thru wirecast. Any ideas?
@@MikeRussell Dear Sir, There is only direct authentication process for both yt and fb and neither asked to place stream key nor any point to enter stream key. Its much frustrating.
Wow, Great Video Mike. One question on this. When I bring someone into Wirecast with a Zoom call and use the Scarlet Solo mixer, the guest's audio sounds ok in earphones, but distorts and breaks up and on the recording. My own microphons sounds ok, but the Zoom call audio is distorted. Plugging headphones into the Mac Stereo Jack, and using onboard system audio resolves the issue. Am wondering if you know why that is. Do you use the Scarlet mixer when you go live, and do you have Zoom or Skype calls when you do? Curios.
Thank you for the video, Can we display lyrics/ Bible verses on the screen while live-streaming during Sunday morning service? If so, please send me the link showing how to do that. Thank you in advance,
Drop Mike's pitch, add in a pinch of long hall echo and beef-up the bass in this video at about 3:30 and Mike will sound like Darth Vader with all the breathing.
Awsome video Mike. Can I use fabfilter plugins in wirecast?
I’m not sure if Wirecast has VST capability but, if it does, they should work!
Would know whether you're using an audio mixer or mic ia plugged directly into wirecast?
I use an audio mixer.
Great tutorial about selecting/ adding effects. How do I remove ones I don’t need from the sub menu? I added de-Esser 1:33 twice , now can’t remove it!
To remove effects from the sub menu in Wirecast's audio mixer, simply right-click on the effect (in this case, de-Esser) and select "Remove Effect."
Great video! One thing i did notice when setting mine up is that my Blue Yeti Pro Mic only shows one channel for it. Is this how its supposed to be? I think mine also only comes out of left side speaker but for you i see the green bars going up on both sides when speaking
The Blue Yeti Pro is capable of stereo recording so should always show both channels.
@@MikeRussell Thanks for the reply. I figured something was wrong. Uninstalled & re installed wirecast & everything seems fine now. Thanks again

AWESOME! No fluff! Exactly what learners are looking for on tight schedules! Perfection!
How do you get stereo output from your Scarlett 2i2. I only get mono signal. Do you use a special microphone or 2 mics?
The microphone is mono, the scarlet 2i2 has two mono outputs, output 1 is input 1 and output 2 is input 2. You either need to force Wirecast to recognise it as mono or select Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 inputs 1 and 2
@@MikeRussell this is what I’m looking for ;-) Where do you tell Wirecast to distribute the mono signal to both channels ;-)
Try selecting just the left channel (if using input 1) or right channel (if using input 2_
Mike, great video! Question: How are you getting dual mono out audio using the Scarlett 2i2 in Wirecast? I can only get one side mono
Idk if you mean this, I had the same problem I only got left side audio(I use the scarlett 18i20).

Thanks, Jason! It was fun to be explaining everything while 'inside' Wirecast :)

Hi Mike, can I add some plugins to Wirecast and can I also use Adobe Audition with Wirecast to improve the sound effects thanks
No, not presently a possibility to add plugins with Wirecast.
What works to balance Wirecast audio output from live source and and added video content? How do I get everything to be the same volume?
That totally depends on how you're set up. We used a hardware compressor to finalise the volumes on our stream.

Help on how I can get this software #wirecast in my PC 32 bit
I'm pretty sure you need a 64-bit computer for Wirecast.
I would like to see more from you on Wirecast.

Can we add the echo in the broadcast, for example, to the direct Qur’an instead of the pure sound? Please reply and thank you
