Very nice! This is permission to step off the edge. Our Monday jam ventures to jazz and I love it, although I'm just beginning (six years by ear now). And a guitarist in town just emailed me on a recommendation from my French instructor friend (who has never heard me play) to try some Reinhardt/Grappelli. I bought a 3 cd set and I may be in for a rude awakening but I'm fearless for now!
@karpdiem2 good observation! indeed he does, and it's a question of sound and how he feels while he's improvising, he talks about bowing patterns in detail in his instructional dvd by hyperhipmedia , a pattern he uses a lot, is bow stroke on downbeat, followed by bowstroke in different direction with slur, followed by bow stroke in other direction; repeat... or he'll also do stroke on downbeat, different stroke, followed by slur, and chain the slurs with stroke on offbeats, etc...
I am a beginner and I play 2nd Violin at school. it is not easy for me because I am left- handed, but play with my right hand. But watching him play makes it seems so easy.
Being left handed and playing right handed shouldn't stunt your ability in any way. If that's how you learned to play, it should be normal for you. You use both hands when playing anyway.
THIS IS IT . . . and it does not get any better than this, NO MATTER WHO ELSE IS PLAYING. BEYOND EXCELLENT AND OUTSTANDING.
Dude you're amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hats off and deep respect!!!!!!!

absolutely fantastic
I'm not crazy about his phrasing, but his conviction, focus, and technique is something to be admired.

I love all the music you guys post here. Maybe "hot jazz" instead of "Gypsy Jazz?"
I found this enjoyable

@@AlaniSugar That's not how it works lmao
@@chorigod8341 Yeah, it is. Most people, regardless of their dominant hand, learn to play violin "right handed".

What is that 10 unlike!?
There seems to be a lot of quirtky bow patterns - lots of double upbows, make sense?
I like your playing more than Grappelli's.
