i just got your set from Peters Art Shop and looks like you've updated some of the colors! Were you wanting to incorporate some of Roman Szmal's new color options or were they more to match some new directions in your work? Love Cobalt Sea Blue!

probably the most interesting are delaminated colors: 334 Mineral Violet, 336 Shadow Violet, 344 Ocean blue, 346 Aquarius Green, 401 Przybysz's Grey.
Wow - I am mesmerized! This was art therapy for me, real chill time that I truly needed. And the major bonus is I have the Szmal Aquarius pan set which I also have 'swatched' but I did it my way 🤐. Just wish I had watched your video first! Thank you sooo much Sadie. Sub'd. (and I agree - that Aquarius Green is fab!)

I’m so glad! I think Roman really thinks about the needs of an artist when he makes these paints.
I was just noticing that I love Oto Kano's swatches, but she usually does them with a voiceover. I like the way you have done this one - real time. I like having the variety. It's good to see you back in another video!
Oh man, I own a couple of Roman Szmal pans and they are just wonderful - and mine have all been very easy to rewet. I can confirm that the Mineral Violet is crazy beautiful, as well as Ocean Blue and Przybysz Grey. I can't wait to get my hands on more!
They are just fabulous to paint with!
Oh! And I accidentally ordered the Sky Blue instead of a different colour, and even though I don't dislike it, it's just not what I look for in a watercolour. If I want that more opaque, milky coverage, I tend to turn to gouache instead. The Roman Szmal Lavender is a very similar mix.
@@maryjane89 That sky blue is just weird. It has a strange deadness about it and actually makes me feel anxious.
Hi Sade, I've missed you. I can't believe the difference between the nickel yellow in dispersion vs mass tone, that's crazy. I really like the way you have set up your swatches so that you see the colour in all its applications. What I really like is that from the lighting and the camera set up, you can really see how much water you need to get the level of dispersion, something that is not always clear when watching videos. One comment: you don't talk about lightfastness in this video (I can't remember if you do in your others), even though you have a space on your chart to indicate permanence. I suspected that genuine Van Dyck Brown, gorgeous colour that it is, might not have very good permanence and looked it up. It seems there is a lack of consensus on its light fastness, but opinions vary from equivocal to definitely fugitive. I must say that I was a bit disappointed in the loss of vibrancy once these colours were dry. I agree that the Aquarius green is fabulous.
I have 48 of these paints so far, be careful if you buy them, the quality is so good you will want them all!!!

Nice swatches! Also, the Caput Mortuum is PR102. The Earth pigments from Szmal's are really great!
Actually according to the package this one is PBr7, they are great though!
@@SadieSavestheDay That's really odd, on the actual wrapping and polish shops' sites Caput Mortuum is listed as made from PR102. (I still can't get over it, it's so amazing!)
Edit: Stuff happens, just as "hooney" written on Renesans paints :D They made a mistake, for sure.
Perhaps this is a different one, or it’s a misprint? Either way it is gorgeous

@@SadieSavestheDay It looks just like the PR102 version, so perhaps they have a misprint on that box set.
I love these paints..especially all the aquarius ones. These are great paints for the price, and I enjoy using full pans more than half pans. Nice video.
All the Aquarius ones are extra special to me. Full pans are so great for bigger brushes and just feeling free with painting!

Sadie, you are trully torturing me. When I saw your first video with Szmal watercolours, I made a list and ordered. At that time I couldnt order it in Poland because of Covid. So I did in another shop and I am still waiting.... it is almost one month and half - if someone travels in these crazy times, it is my Szmal watercolours selection. I will call it Roman Szmal Traveller Pack...well, if I ever get it 😉😃😃😃

Thé shadow violet is a beautifull grey
I like that they’re renamed the ridiculous flesh tint to ‘the tint’ or ‘Naples yellow reddish’. They obviously listen to customers and sense. Van dyke brown is peat?! Wow.
How do you print on watercolour paper?
How do you compare these watercolors with the White Nights? Are these better or the same quality as the WN? Just came across and i’m loving your channel. You have gorgeous hands and voice! Cheers from Brasil

these paints look so juicy omg!
i have a tube i got from paul rubens. looks just like that mineral violet, it doesn't work too well when in pan though, and i think its kind of chalky... sighs~ still, i love dual pigment colors they're too cool!! i saw some other ones that granulte like mineral violet in diffrent colors on ali express and my wallets cryinggg 😩😩 idk if i wanna risk it all for some art supplies but mannn... paint like that..... i feel like i wouldn't have seen 5 or so years ago... hm! 😳
