@@Reveal_City It had gotten so and so tedious with CC2 and BN that they deal for the .hack games on PlayStation consoles wasn't working out so well given to incompetence on infrastructure then in such a sure-fire case that CC2 put .hack//GU: Last Recode on the Nintendo Switch. It worked out.💪
@@benny720p I'll always a soft spot for the 2d Ultimate Ninja games on PS2, but the saving grace of the Storm games is the story mode to be honest, which are catered to the die-hard fans.
In my opinion CC2 were at their peek till Storm 3, after that it slowly went down hill (Storm 4 having cut cutscenes, still images galore, and meh adventure mode), but that's all thx to Bandai being bandai ;o. Great video!
No not opinion but fact, because I’ve been saying the same thing. Hell for some reason after storm 1 they starting to decline in mechanics and dynamically, but the dynamics was still good up until storm 3 or even revolution, but revolution wasn’t that good but they was trying to introduce something different.
Frankly you'll get a far better and cheaper deal by buying all the older games at a discount with 4 and its dlc. Even Connections cut all the 3d cel-shaded cutscenes before the main battles from Storm 2 and 3.
Storm 2's story mode is the peakest, it has more boss battles than any other games and all boss fights have above two phases with super well-made QTE scenes, you can tell that game was made with passion and love. The boss battles in 3 and 4 have few good quality ones but several ones are half-assed. There were way less QTE scenes than Storm 2, some important fights only have one phase then end with a cutscene. But the most disappointed part was Naruto vs Sasuke final fight in 4, it's like they ran out of budget and time, there was no giant Kurama vs Susanoo gameplay phase, all they gave us was one cutscene of them transforming and clashed each other. Also, Storm 2 has a lot of amazing soundtracks which i still remember till this day, Storm 3 only has a few, and i can't even remember any memorable OST from Storm 4
@@dinoblade8167 I loved the smooth music transition in Storm 2 when you go from the Main Menu to the Character select mode. It´s such an overlooked detail that was later dismissed in the later games.
Their gameplay may be whatever but it's undeniable that their games look extremely faithful to the anime. That's the most impressive part about CC2 games.
Apparently, they were struggling to make the remake. Square Enix so their progress and weren't satisfied. So they scrapped that build and moved the project to an in-house studio. It's why it took so long for FF7 Remake to come out even though it was officially unveiled way back in 2015. What's funny is that this probably also impacted the choice to split the remake into 3 parts. If CC2 kept making the Remake it's possible it would've been a single complete and faithful to the original experience.
Very informative video, but the editing needs some work. Try to edit out your own music when other music from f.e the interview bits are playing. It's not very pleasant sounding when 2 music tracks are playing on-top of each other, especially when someone is talking.
This only makes me feel sadder about the fact that Namco most likely pulled the plug on Connections...

I’m guess they don’t like my money then because I bought the game all the dlc and plan on buying anything new in the naruto storm series
Well... the storm games was never really good, if they had a whole new skin to it then the storm games would've stopped at storm 1 if we being real
@@benny720p I disagree they are the best Naruto games I’ve played

CC2, the company who's passion you can actually feel when you play their games.
For real💀
Asuras wrath is still the most epic game I've ever witnessed to this day.
Keep making these videos ❤
CC2 worked on the .hack games as published by Bandai and Bandai Namco with toys attached by Bandai for toys and merch.
We need more commentary vids like this Mr Shonengamez

I heard they worked on ff7 remake but later left the team

Any news yet of a new Naruto game
First 😂🔥🔥
I wanna learn how to do this stuff

it will never be soon enough when they stop using that awful music and fire whoever draws those awful image cutscenes.
If they fire the guy who makes powerpoint cutscenes the next game will probably have scrolling wall of text for cutscenes.
@ak-t7d6f you know what.. it is sad but you are probably right
lower the background music volume man
Where was this passion in Storm 1? Tedious mini games, stupid secret scroll collecting after every mission, repetitive fights, no story mode, lol
There was passion, but they were probably not as experienced. It takes time to establish a working workflow.
CC2 os the most lazy developer o know
