Always loved the episodes of Batman where Julie Newmar was Catwoman, she certainly did justice to that tight fitting Catwoman outfit....it fit her just purrrrrfectly
ACTUALLY NOT SO FUNNY HERE WE ARE 2020-2021, IN THIS GLOBAL PLANDEMIC & THEY HAVE STOLEN THE CITIZEN'S VOTES/VOICES=CENSORSHIP & MILLIONS OF LIVES & CHILDHOODS...CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY...
I saw this episode when I was little and I was so pissed at Catwoman for this. years later when I saw this again, I couldn't stop laughing my ass off. Great series
I thought they were a made up band when I first saw this in the 80's. Didn't realize they were an actual band in the 60's. "A Summer Song" is a great 60's classic.
They fit ~2,500 people in my high school gymnasium, although a couple hundred were staff, faculty and support personnel like lunch ladies or janitors. I think the student body was only in the range of 2100-2300 exclusive. I'm pretty sure it got to 5,000 for something like parent's night or possibly Homecoming.
they're the main reason I know this series exists, believe it or not. Before this, I didn't even know Batman had a sidekick, and now I'm crushing on his sidekick!
I like that, that was funny, Robin was like Batman there was a crime committed we must stop them and Batman was like no robin first we must calm down the crowd.
Great great great grandson of the Waterloo Duke of Wellington on the right. For some reason, the Brits just will not accept anyone but working class heroes as pop stars, so that's why these two had to come to the US to make it.
blackmore4 It's also worth noting, that Jeremy was a page at Elizabeth II's coronation. But you are right; they had to come to America, in order to make it in the world of pop music.
In this same episode, Catwoman was hiding out in “Mr. Oceanbring”’s hair salon, a spoof of hairstylist-to-the-stars Jay Sebring, who has a cameo in the fight scene. Sadly, two years later, Sebring would be murdered by Charles Manson’s thugs.
Anyone know what other groups performed on Batman? I always see this and the Paul Revere and the Raiders scene, but I know there was another respired with a group playing and a fight breaks out. Can't think of the group or the song......
Glad Catwoman didn't steal the voices of Benedict Arnold and the Traitors or Paul Revere and the Raiders. Had to cancel their concert at Spae Stadium in Queens.😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
He's Kid Flash at this time. Interestingly enough Michael Rosenbaum voiced him both in the Timmverse and the Teen Titans cartoon. Actually, that's something we needed on this show. Batman saying "Well, Dick, here's $500 for your guitar, another $50 for Donna's tambourine, $200 for Roy's drum set, $400 for Garth's bass guitar, $100 for Wally's keyboard...Hey, how much is Mal's horn?" "He has a horn from the angel Gabriel, Bruce." I have no idea what things would cost in the 60s.
@ The Kiwi You have a ( sort of ) legend for a grandfather .! It's more than most of us can say - perhaps you'll be inspired to follow in his footsteps . Pretty hard to top an appearance on Barman though !

maybe this song (Distant Shores) would've been a bigger hit if the people at home watching on tv could've heard the entire song...but i guess it just wasn't in the cards, or in the script for that matter.
Chad & Jeremy had just one Top 10 pop hit with "A Summer Song." They had one additional Top 15 pop hit with their #1 AC chart topper "Willow Weep For Me." They had 5 additional Top 10 hits on the AC chart. The English soft rock duo NEVER had a single #1 pop hit here in the states. They're a one hit wonder in their native UK - with the minor hit "Yesterday's Gone" - which fared better here in the states. "Distant Shores" was the duo's last Top 40 hit single - peaking at #30.
Always loved the episodes of Batman where Julie Newmar was Catwoman, she certainly did justice to that tight fitting Catwoman outfit....it fit her just purrrrrfectly
Chad & Jeremy should have gotten even with Catwoman by stealing her sexy , Lurex catsuit !
"Citizens! Citizens! Hi, kids!"
You know thank goodness one match lit up the entire auditorium so Batman could address and calm down the understandably upset teenagers.
The irony here, is that this was Catwoman's best scheme.
The idea of the global economy crashing because of Chad and Jeremy’s voices being stolen is maybe the funniest concept in TV history.
ACTUALLY NOT SO FUNNY HERE WE ARE 2020-2021, IN THIS GLOBAL PLANDEMIC & THEY HAVE STOLEN THE CITIZEN'S VOTES/VOICES=CENSORSHIP & MILLIONS OF LIVES & CHILDHOODS...CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY...
And yet here we are, a global economy that crashes every few months.
Batman writers were ahead of their time in many episodes!
I saw this episode when I was little and I was so pissed at Catwoman for this. years later when I saw this again, I couldn't stop laughing my ass off. Great series
yeah, such a great song, too. "love came..." --and then they lost their voice.
That was one hell of a match. It lit up the entire building. I can't even see my matches when I light a match. Holy inferno Batman
It was a BatMatch after all.
Chad Stuart RIP
Chad is playing a Hoffner base just like the one Paul McCartney played in the Beatles which is really really cool
In a later clip from this episode he's playing Jimmy Page's dual-neck Gibson electric.
RIP Chad Stuart
"I thought you said they couldn't get away, Catwoman!"
(totally unfazed) "And yet they did."
I thought they were a made up band when I first saw this in the 80's. Didn't realize they were an actual band in the 60's. "A Summer Song" is a great 60's classic.
lincbond442 they can’t be beat lol
"5000 screaming teenagers." Yes Batman, you mean 50 screaming teenagers.
No , it was 5000 , Mr Trump counted them and it was 5000.
@@26wessex84 Lol Typical Trump hater. Get a life, B.O. lover.
Ironically enough, this was the best scam ever devised by Catwoman!
5000 screaming teenagers in a medium sized high school auditorium?
They fit ~2,500 people in my high school gymnasium, although a couple hundred were staff, faculty and support personnel like lunch ladies or janitors. I think the student body was only in the range of 2100-2300 exclusive. I'm pretty sure it got to 5,000 for something like parent's night or possibly Homecoming.
"Quick! Light the Bat-match!"
yes they are real singers.
Fun episode and/or video to watch if you are a Chad and Jeremy fan.
they're the main reason I know this series exists, believe it or not.
Before this, I didn't even know Batman had a sidekick, and now I'm crushing on his sidekick!
I first heard of Chad and Jeremy on Batman starring Adam West. I hope to get the series on Dvd someday.🎶
Looks like Catwoman's henchmen sent away for those special glasses in the back of the comic books. COOL.
Julie newmar can steal anything .
I like that, that was funny, Robin was like Batman there was a crime committed we must stop them and Batman was like no robin first we must calm down the crowd.
It's amazing what a match can accomplish. I love it. Lmfao!!

Buenísimo,gracias por rescatar está escena.
ya think with 5,000 screaming teenagers might get hurt in the dark? Lol
chad is valentino cassadines (general hospital) real father
Catwoman saved my ears from another song! Thank god!
Chad and Jeremy were a real singers?
I thought they were just an imaginary duo for the TV sho!!!!
Nope, they were definitely a real group, with several hits.
In this same episode, Catwoman was hiding out in “Mr. Oceanbring”’s hair salon, a spoof of hairstylist-to-the-stars Jay Sebring, who has a cameo in the fight scene. Sadly, two years later, Sebring would be murdered by Charles Manson’s thugs.
i love his drum
lol chad with the beatle bass and one-off shea stadium jacket
Anyone know what other groups performed on Batman? I always see this and the Paul Revere and the Raiders scene, but I know there was another respired with a group playing and a fight breaks out. Can't think of the group or the song......
Lesley Gore was Catwoman's protege.
"Good thing I was carrying a high flame Bat match !!!".
Paul Revere and the Raiders was the only cool band to play Batman
5,000 screaming teenagers? I made it about 35. But I bet Adam and Burt porked them all.
What a beautiful country was USA then
Glad Catwoman didn't steal the voices of Benedict Arnold and the Traitors or Paul Revere and the Raiders. Had to cancel their concert at Spae Stadium in Queens.😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
50 vs. 5,000 kids, so who's counting, Bats? (Or at least that's what the Flash would always call Batman in the Justice League cartoon lol)
He's Kid Flash at this time. Interestingly enough Michael Rosenbaum voiced him both in the Timmverse and the Teen Titans cartoon.
Actually, that's something we needed on this show. Batman saying "Well, Dick, here's $500 for your guitar, another $50 for Donna's tambourine, $200 for Roy's drum set, $400 for Garth's bass guitar, $100 for Wally's keyboard...Hey, how much is Mal's horn?"

5000? Looked like about 30
