@@MissVanHelsing Fungal acne is usually a lot of tiny unicorn size red dots that’s usually on the forehead area and itchy. It’s caused by yeast. Fastest way to see if it is fungal acne is to wash your face wish Head and Shoulders shampoo and see if it improves. Regular acne is more so in different shapes, like some blackheads, some white heads, some big red cysts, usually varies in sizes and more likely to be on the cheek and jawline area of women.
im south east asian and ive had this since college and i have been using anti fungal creams but the hypopigmentation wont go away. i was advised to make that area darker by tanning. 😢
Does this remove the hyper/hypopigmentation or just stop the growth/spread of it? I use head n shoulders and it seems to have stopped the spread and peeling of the skin but I would rather not have a huge patch of dark spots on my back
Wouldn’t treating it at the root be treating it on a deeper level and not just washing it with anti-dandruff shampoo? Isn’t yeast overgrowth an internal issue as well? Candida? I don’t know much but I would think treating a fungus among us would mean changing what one puts into their body. Like eliminating sugars, because yeast loves sugar! Hates sun too, maybe sitting out in the sun to let the fungus die on the outside while killing it on the inside too? Washing it and applying creams and even the pill never helped me!
I have a couple small white spots on my arms close to my wrists. Your first video mentioned it being most prevalent on the chest, but would this appear on the arms as well? There’s only four total spots.
This is completely random, but what are your thoughts on prescription Ammonium Lactate Lotion? I was prescribed it for supposed Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms. I dont have any dry skin there or little bumps and my skin is actually quite soft and moisturized there but because I had asked about weird red discoloration on my arms, i was instantly told I had KP and was given that lotion.

This is more than the info I got from my own dermatologist about this. My back has been discolored for over ten years.
I wash my face with head and shoulders shampoo (zinc pyrithicone) in the summer to keep fungal acne down. Would that one you showed be better?
I've seen derms recommend the nizoral, zinc pyrithione and selenium sulfide shampoos for fungal acne.

How can we understand if we have tinea versicolor or Progressive macular hypomelanosis ( I couldn’t find anyone who talks about this)
