FSU defense beat LSU 6, Miami 7, and Clemson 10 based on good offense and defense. Our defense should be in the top 10. We beat Miami and LSU the last 2 years. I understand the offense being ranked 22.

@@chasejackson7248 it's not based off last year. It's based off the talent on the offense. If it was based off of where they ranked last year, Colorado wouldn't be anywhere near this list in any category. They weren't even in the top 50 of offense or defense anyway you slice it. Tennessee not only has one of the best offensive lines in the country, but they have a 5 star phenom at qb and 5-6 big time receivers allowing with a strong running game. If you don't think Tennessee will be outside the top 25 of offenses in college football, then you don't know college football.

Oklahoma being at an 84 on offense and 88 on defense is terrible. As an oklahoma fan our defense has never been better than our offense and our offense is better than smu, kansas, and ucf. everyone just hates oklahoma and it’s sad and terrible.

Yeah I’ve been rocking with ER for years and still will but he’s kind of turned corporate. Tennessee will probably be ranked as a Top25 team tomorrow but won’t have a Top25 ranked offense or defense.

I mean they weren't some great offense last year and they lost so many players. Their defense was elite. What happened last year doesn't matter for what's projected this year. But also as I said, they may actually be top 25 we don't know their rating yet.

Michigan didn’t have a great offense. They were a run heavy, ball control team that dominates with their front 4.

This list has a few mistakes in my opinion. On offense, Colorado and Clemson should not be that high. Ole Miss and Tennessee should be higher.
On defense, USC and Colorado are way too high.
Colorado was a bottom 10 defense last year, whoever decided to rate them that high has never watched them play

As a colorado fan for the last 20 years all I can say is I could've never dreamed to have my team catching this much of the spotlight. I know its mostly hate but it's still better than being forgotten like before.

Look I am Tennessee vols fan but I am a realest, I was shocked their offense wasn’t top 20. I can understand our defense not getting a place but our offense is one of the best in the country.
If you watch to the end you understand he explains it well. It’s subject to change, most decent teams (6-7 win bowl game) probably sit between 80-83 for both sides of the ball.
@EricRayweather, I'm assuming that with what you mentioned of a lower D or O vs a higher D or O you will feel it makes it actually a lot more challenging and will rely on actual skill set no matter how good of a gamer you are to make wins and big plays

Sanders was one of the most efficient passing quarterbacks in the country and if you cut those sacks in half, they probably win an extra two or three games no matter how bad the defense is again this year whether or not they can protect him or determine if they are bowl eligible

I see these schools rated in the low 80s and I really hope that means we have some of the small schools in the 60s

I think a lot of it is dependent on depth as well as certain players (like a Travis Hunter) that raise team ratings.

Colorado is the only truly bad one. They are projected to get better, and I can understand saying they have a top 25 offense in college football. But it should be between 15-25 at most not top 10. The defense being in the top 25 insane. Should have been above an 80. By averages ea has them as like the 10th best team in college football. That’s insane.

Ok ik Nebraska wasn’t very good last year, but almost each game was lost by one possession at the last second, and their defense was amazing. Ik some of the players left, but we still have tons of big recruits coming in on both sides. One of the devs must really not like Nebraska, because they’re violated in these rankings.

If you know football. How to adjust coverage depending on how your opponent likes to play. And what plays maximizes your offense. hen ratings dont matter. The ratings really depend on your players overalls. Colorado offense is high simply because of the ranks of shedeur and travis. They are probably both in the 90s. They could have avoided all of this tho by just simply grading the offense and defense by grades like the old games. ( A,B,C etc )

Everyone is mad but they don’t realize that these rankings are Not based on last years team it’s based on everyone’s stats including the players who just transferred in… and if you go look at Colorado transfers on offense they have 2, 1000 yard receivers… a wr who lead who lead his team in receiving yards with 700+ yards in the SEC…they have 1000 yard rusher who jus transferred in at running back…nobody who started on the o line last year will be starting this year…people jus don’t understand they think they based the rankings on how teams did last year😭

I don't think overall automatically indicates performance. I wouldn't overreact to any rankings. Texas A&M has ranked high in recruiting, but they underperform. If the game came out after one of their recruiting classes, their overall would understandably be high
See but that’s the thing that I think frustrates people… Missouri went 11-2 last season based largely on their offense. They return arguably the best WR in the country and a very competent QB. Their offense line was pretty solid as well.
Meanwhile EA gives Colorado a higher rated offense when their offensive line can’t stop a runny nose and they had virtually no run game with their best RB transferring out. Sure they have Sanders and Hunter but you’re telling me that’s enough to have them at the same level as Miami, LSU, OSU, and Mizzou? No way
Don’t even get me started on their defense… 20th!? Tied with LSU, TAMU, Ok st., Louisville, UNC? Colorado was 127th in total defense last year… there’s literally no way they are a top 20 defense. They didn’t completely right a sinking ship in one year. They don’t have a better defense than some of these “bottom name” teams. They shouldn’t be anywhere near top 20 they shouldn’t have a higher rated defense than FIU, UAB, Umass, UNLV, La Tech, etc. 🤷🏽♂️ just because you have a few good players shouldn’t mean your defense is top 20 now. That’s ridiculous. Just because you have a “big name” doesn’t mean you’re better than other teams either. If you drive a V6 Challenger… it doesn’t become a hellcat just because it’s got a challenger name 😂😂😂

@@SteelyScroll905 Tennessee football averaged 24 points per game on offense (11th in the SEC) and gave up 27 points per game (8th in the SEC) on defense in 2023. They are average at best on offense and defense.
