I bought this machine in April of 2019. I was so impressed I purchased another as a backup that's still in the box. I've been a welder since '95. I started getting outside work a couple years ago from 3 guys (all brothers) for different projects. All of these require a welder that's mobile. My Millers are not something I want to carry around! Since purchasing this it has been rock solid. I live in the southwest desert and our temps are regularly 110 plus degrees in the summer. These jobs were all outside on a dusty, sandy open lot. This guy was on 8 hours a day all week for weeks building 14 foot rolling gates made from 2 inch square tube 1/4 in wall and the tracks they roll on. Ran some long welds while doing the tracks and the welder never kick off. I mostly used stick 7018 and 6011's and flux core. I've put 18 - 10lb rolls of 035 wire through the machine. I didn't add up how many lb's of electrodes but certainly a few hundred pounds through the time I've owned it. I was sure I was going to burn this welder out on these jobs, hence the backup, but nope. It doesn't look pretty any more, other than being pretty beat up. Your right the earlier version of this welder did not accept 2 lb spools. I don't use them so not an issue for me. Also I made new work and stinger leads replacing everything. There the one thing I think could be improved, but until you start paying thousands these are typical. There are no complaints about this welder from me. The millimeter thing is easy enough to figure out once you get familiar with the machine. The mig gun is very good and has taken a lot of abuse without complaint. So for those who are wondering about longevity, I thought I would give you my experience.
Thanks Pete I really appreciate your comment! It’s really nice to hear just how good that welder is holding up for you 👍 It definitely gives me more confidence in the machine after reading how well it’s performed. I had quite a few people mention they own one and also like it. I have had two other people mention that they have had problems with them. I really appreciate you taking the time to write this 👍 Take care
@@2blew4U This machine is not ideal for Tig Aluminum. Yes you probably could get away with it using pure helium, but it would be unfun and expensive. Tig Aluminum is best with an AC TIG machine which Yes welder makes as well.
Just wanted to add something.... everyone on here has all said the same thing about Mike. Great guy, gives great honest reviews and shares not only great projects but so many different skills that everyone appreciates and learns from. He has over 109,000 subscribers on his channel ... this is amazing. he pays for these videos out of pocket and we all enjoy them and benefit for free !!! With that being said. It would be great to see people buying his merchandise to show how much they appreciate it .. I didn’t realize until I posted that he has only sold 4 items. I have never met mike and he has never met me. But I can say I feel like I know him from all his videos and I’m sure you all feel the same way. Let’s all support Mike and buy a t-shirt or hoodie to help support him to continue with these projects and videos .... thanks Richie
Thank you Richie 🙂 Comments like this from thoughtful people like yourself is what really keeps me motivated to make more videos! I think these days it’s especially important to everyone to be kind and respectful to others and it’s nice to let people know they are appreciated. Richie I really appreciate this 🙂 Thank again so much
Oooh for sure Mike .. I am new to the channel and was so surprised when I started watching all your videos. I’m really interested in the cross fire pro plasma cnc. My wife was so impressed with it also and loved seeing how you made the grill for the quad truck and cut the fenders for the articulating dump truck. And the limited slip differential, Very slick !! My problem is I’m not the best with computers and wasn’t sure if I could use it effectively. But I have watched several other people use it as well and they all seem to like it. I have a versa cut 60 from Eastwood now. But I’m not sure it will work with the software... I have to research it out. Anyway, I’m sure with the holidays people will be more than willing to buy some of your T-shirt’s and hoodies. Not only to help support you for all your great efforts... but also it’s getting colder and who couldn’t use a hoodie 😊
Hi Mike. I agree with Richie… Who couldn’t use a hoodie? Everybody could use one. It would be a great little gesture to help support you and your channel for all the time that you put into this for the rest of us. Keep up the good work and come on people, everybody order a hoodie!!!! 👍
They added the setup paper with all the metric and imperial data as a sticker. I stuck the sticker right on the panel door, even before Mike suggested it. Nice to see a company listen to customer feedback and make the improvements.
I think you are smart for not giving these companies exclusivity on their equipment. It would limit you far too much and defeat the purpose that makes you so popular. Doin' a great job my friend!
Hi 👋 Mike. Rich and I got our new Mike Festiva hoodies yesterday... we are at harbor freight picking up some welding stuff and took our pic in front of the welders. Of course people were looking at us funny as to why we were taking a selfie 🤳 in front of the welders lol. We love the hoodies 😁 thanks for helping Rich make a good decision on his new welders 👍 loves them and your videos
After this review I pulled the trigger and bought this welder. Ive never welded in my life so I'm super excited for this to be delivered. Also, I used the 20% off promo code and it still works as of December 3. Thanks for the great videos Mike!
I’m new to welding. Took a couple courses for the basics but have no idea what to buy for equipment and how to set it up. Your videos helped me select a plasma cutter and a 3 in 1 welder from Amazon. I’m glued to your videos and the perfect amount of detail you provide. Thanks for your work!!
Whenever you start teaching welding tech I'm glued to the comp. You not only talk about different settings needed, you show the how and why.TY.I freely admit that my tries have those 'splatter balls'all over, and now I can change.Again;Thank You for this machine review and your skills shared.
Hey Michael, I think you did a great review on the welder. I watched your review and several other reviews. You make great videos. I purchased the same welder from this review. Ordered alot of extra expendables plus tig torch, regulator and mig and tig kit. I recieved the welder in a reasonable amount of time, around a week maybe less. I noticed no tig torch and also short on the 45 piece tig weld torch gas weld kit. I sent a message to yes welder and they told me I wouldn't get the torch toll mid january. I got it around the 22nd or so. I had bought this welder expecting to use the tig torch on a Christmas gift for 2 of our grandkids. I ended up using the mig gun and it got the job done. The welder worked great. Now its February 3rd and still no tig torch kit. I sent yeswelder a email letting them know without swearing that their customer service sucks. I like the welder alot, the little bit I have used it. Do me a favor, send this message to yeswelder or have them look it up. If they can afford to give out welders for advertising remind them they should take care of the people who already spent their hard earned money. Thanks really like your channel just a little pissed at yeswelder.
Hey Mike Just wanted to say as was already stated, Great honest review and thanks for always being willing to share great welding info. I am super happy with my Vulcan 205 and titanium 170 after watching your reveiws I felt confident buying them because of your detailed info. And I’m sure guys looking for an affordable multipurpose welder are super happy to know this may be just what they need for an affordable welder. Also I’m ordering two of your hoodies. One for myself and one for my wife. Not because I need more hoodies but because I want to support you and your channel for all you do for us guys who enjoy your work and your excellent teaching. Thanks again Richie Sharp.
Right on Richie 👍 I really appreciate your comment! Thank you 😊 I’m happy to hear you have been enjoying those welders! I sure like my ProTig and my Titanium! I was just welding some Aluminum with my ProTig today finishing up a bit of cab work on my articulating dump truck. Thanks for supporting my efforts and ordering some hoodies! Including your order I have sold 4 Items so far, they sure don’t sell very well 😂 Thanks again Richie 👍
I've been waiting on someone who was familiar to me to do a review of the yeswelder brand. Thank you. I've been looking for a cheap mig/tig combo to put in my service truck. I do a lot of outside welding and inside welding. I didn't want to spend a couple of grand on name brand just to get abused and broken. Thank you again!
I came to see a review of a welder, but i left a better welder. Love that you can squeeze some useful knowledge into your review videos. Always a pleasure to watch.
Just received mine Mike! Based off your review, and other reviews, I’d agree it’s the best bang for the buck 👌🏼 Thanks for your commitment to neutral based reviews and thoroughly going through the user process!
Awesome! I’m glad you got it 👍 I was just running mine in my shop this afternoon, works really well. Ps I’ve been running mine with the extra volt adjustment at +2 and the inductance at +6 Setup like this I find I can run the main screen volts at around 18.5 with .035 wire with CO2/Argon and weld 1/8” great 👍 I’m now getting a good feel for the machine and can easily just turn up or down the volt dial and get it spot on for different thicknesses metal. I think you will really enjoy your new welder. Take care Devin
@@Mikefestiva You rock Mike! I started welding on some coupons, followed step by step your settings and tips in this vid, only have .030 currently but dialed in to 18.5 as you said and blown away at the quality and consistency... sizzling bacon baby! 🥓 ***Can you update your Affiliate links for the torch? Looks like it’s not available anymore. I’m ready to start learning TIG and want you to get a piece of the pie! Cheers Mike
Mike, Dude. Thank you for these welding videos. I always talk about the burden of learning how to weld because of how sparse good teaching resources are. Your videos have been extremely helpful compared to most. Thank you for your efforts. Great job.
Thanks Michael for commenting and checking out my videos 👍 I really appreciate it. I try my best to teach and encourage others to learn metal Fab, it’s a great skill set to know.
@@Mikefestiva Hey man I appreciate it. I know how tough making RUclips tutorial content can be. Its about time I get a welder to the expand my maker repertoire. Keep up the cool content.
I own one of these. When running flux core wire the welder defaults to .035 wire setting and there is no adjustment for .030 wire in flux core/gasless mode. You can adjust amps/volts settings when using .030 wire but that’s it. I checked with Yeswelder and they confirmed this. The welder is set at .035 wire for flux core wire size is not adjustable. Just thought I’d share this as originally I thought there was an issue with the welder I purchased when I tried to adjust the wire size button to use .030 flux core wire. 👍
Thanksgiving for sharing 👍 yes you are right, I think I usually only run .035 flux core wire in the past because it’s basically hollow with flux and I found when welding with flux, it’s a much slower travel speed then it is with solid wire because of the hollow flux wire. Take care 🙂
Another great review. Will be looking forward to how it holds up, as it would be a cheap way to break into Tig. You are the first site I go to for info and how to videos. Thank you for your efforts.
@Mike festiva I want to say, you make welding look so easy, I watched the one where you taught your nephew how to weld and was convinced I was buying my own welder. I decided on the yeswelder 205 DS, however, I came back to watch your review and noticed it didn't do Aluminum. I have never welded and I am trying to buy one that will do as much of everthing as possible. For that reason, I still went with YESWELDER, but the 250 PRO SG, the 205 was going to cost me $399 plus Tax and I got the 250 PRO for $486. thats with taxes and shipping. Feel its a better deal since I now have the option to be able to weld Aluminum should I need too. Thank you for your welding videos, keep them coming. I will be reviewing your channel again now that I have a welder to practice my setting and so on.
Nice 👍 I have been seeing these welders for the past year on Amazon and wanted to review them a while back but I bought the Amico CTS 160 instead because I had a lot of viewers asking about plasma torches. I’m glad I finally got a chance to try one out. Take care
I just bought this machine about a month ago, and so far so good...no issues whatsoever. I did notice one thing, though (and the same in your video): when I set the thickness to 1/4-inch (6.4mm), the machine display doesn't go higher than 5.1mm.
I never use the auto set with the thickness settings, I have been happy with just setting the Volts and let the welder auto set the wire speed 👍 I have been running mine for the past year and a half and it’s been rock solid 🙂
@@Mikefestiva Thanks...that's been my approach as well. I originally ordered the MP200, but shipping kept getting pushed out, so went for this instead. More than enough to meet my needs.
I just bought this welder February 2022 based on your review and right now Yes has 30% off this welder! It came out to be $308 before taxes. I couldn’t afford not to get one. Keep up the great “anti-unboxing videos”
Thanks Cody! Yes multi process machines have become quite affordable now 👍 I had used an old Lincoln weld pac 100 for years and it would barely weld1/8”. If I wanted to weld Anything thicker I would have to take it out to my friends shop to weld, I’m happy people like myself can actually afford decent welders now 🙂
Afternoon Mike 👋, Was browsing through FB and stumbled upon this Unit on a promo website and decided to Just do it! So yeah.. I'll update when the unit arrives. Looking forward to Mig. Edit: And I still haven't received the unit! Somewhere in limbo land China 🇨🇳 😡. I purchased one from Amazon. Here in 3 days. It works great. I'm learning ...
Great review and very comprehensive. i have not tried the Tig welding yet, but I will probably get a torch now after seeing how well it worked for you. I purchased mine a few years ago so I could throw it in the car rather than strain myself with my transformer migs. I am really surprised at how well it works and has held up. I did a job where I was constantly welding 6mm, (1/4") and was running around 180amps on the setting and it never missed a beat. I was running .8mm, (,30") and I actually had it set for co2 instead of Mag, (unknowingly incorrectly at the time), but it welded well. I ran a reel of .9mm (.35") wire for a job using thicker steel, (10mm) and set it to Mag and it ran pretty well. the settings are a bit confusing and the manual does not help much, but customer support were quick to get back to me. I have a 210amp transformer mig and a 350amp transformer mig in my workshop, but the Yeswelder is my go to now for anything 6mm or less.
I have been struggling to make a decision on whether or not to buy a Vulcan or a Titanium. This video just made up my mind. My YesWelder should arrive in about a week..Thanks for your very thorough reviews.
I have been running my Yeswelder 205 for a year now and have been really happy with it, I use it on all my projects, here’s a off road bumper I built from my Suzuki sidekick, I used the Yeswelder on it. ruclips.net/video/I53yEyE5Lp8/видео.html
Thanks for checking out my review 👍 if you get time check out my new Mini Pinzgauer 6x6 build series, I’m using this welder a lot in that build series! Take care
MAG stands for Metal Active Gas. Over seas laughs at MiG ( metal Inert Gas) inert like straight Argon on Tig. CO2 is an active gas. Good review. Thanks.
Thanks for the review Mike! I just bought this welder with their 30% off discount code, (sorry I didn't use your discount code) I ended up paying $308.00. Can't wait to try this out, I'm a beginner welder I wanted the harbor freight titanium or omnipro but couldn't pass this deal up.
I am looking at a autoset welder here in New Zealand cigweld 185 3-1 type and it comes with all the leads to do the welding job man prices over there are cheep this autoset cigwelder here i NZ $1700.00 the gas here 90-10 mix 75-25 cant get all up bottle D size and welder NZ $2500.00 for autoset, it's only money and thank you for an othere fantastic video .
Thanks for the review! I just received mine tonight. I had a harbor freight flux but it was to hot. I am tack welding holes in auto body (building a rally car) I am not experienced but I want to try smaller than 30 and hopefully won't make bigger holes like before. 😀
Watch those Yes Welder gas lenses, I bought the same thing after contaminating some rather expensive Aluminum welds I found that they aren't soldered together so the lens will unscrew from itself allowing outside air to get into shielding gas.
I made a arc disconnector for lift tig with a battery isolator. It works with a foot pedal. It stops the arc when you let off the pedal. Does not taper off, it just stops instantly. Dont have to pull away to stop the arc.
That stick weld didn't look bad at all. Been seeing these things advertised a lot lately, was wondering if they were much of a welder. Good job on the review.
Thank you very much Mike, I always enjoy your video's not a lot of fluff just clean and too the point. I bought a Titanium 125 welder a few months back and it has been good but eventually will want to pick up a multi-processor unit. so I am looking for the right welder for me, I am in no hurry so until then I will continue to enjoy the videos and practice on my current welder
FYI on replacing the TIG torch on my Yeswelder MIG205-ds. I purchased my MIG205-ds in May 2021 and it has proven to be a nice machine. I was having difficulties with the TIG torch because the lead is not very flexible and is difficult to control. So I purchased a CK Worldwide 17VF with a superflex lead (dinse 35-50) from USAWELD (1725VFX-35D-58 which also fits an ESAB Rebel EMP 215ic). The dinse connector would not lock into the femail dinse on the MIG205 because it was about 4-5mm to long. I had to trim the conductor about 3/16" so it would twist and lock. I reached out to Yeswelder about this issue and they did confirm that their machine does use a proprietary dinse connector. Thought I would pass this along! Don
@redfish Yes, It worked fine after trimming it. I used a dewalt portable bandsaw mounted in a SwagOffRoad portaband table, but a hacksaw would work just fine! FYI, purchased a PrimeWeld 225... love it
Very suitable that you wore your blue and white shirt to review a blue and white welder. Hopefully that will make the welder feel more at home, and function better. It costs nothing to have the electronics do metric and inch, other than for a 50 cent switch button. The chips used for this have both internally, and there’s room on the front panel. 4T is very useful IF your machine has all the settings it’s used for. Sadly, many do not. I use Pyrex for some purposes too. But guys need to know that if (when) you drop it, unlike ceramic, they WILL break. A tip for those who have problems with lift arc, because not everyone can master it. Have a piece of copper, it can be small, and at least 1/16” thick right near where your weld starts, and lift from that. The tungsten won’t stick to the copper. Then just move it over the quarter inch or so to your starting point.
Goon Tips Mel 👍 Yes the Pyrex cups are easily cracked if the torch drops on the floor. I have heard about cooper scrap to start on, I have not tried it yet. I was happy with the results on this welder especially at its price point, now it just comes down to how well it holds up over time. Take care and I hope all is well Mel 🙂
Looks like a handy little shop welder...dry tig set ups are great for stainless, and thin gauge aluminum. Aluminum over a 1/4" I like to use a water cooled rig with a high freak. Nice presentation 👍
Thank you very much for your video. I have just purchased a new yeswelder 205ds so i am still confused how to use. However, after watching your video, i feel confident to try my project. 👍👍👍👍👍
Right on! I have been using this welder a lot in my shop these days and I like it more and more 👍 If you have any questions feel free to ask. Take care Peter
I already bought mine and I hope it arrives to Mexico soon. I am excited to use it. Thanks for your recommendation. Thank you for the 10% discount coupon tip.
Thanks Mike! With your 10% at YES, they apply it to everything in the cart(like TIG gun and TIG electrodes) and shipping is free to Colorado! Looking forward to some extended use reports!
Thanks for checking out my new video🙂 That’s cool it applies to everything in the cart! I just ordered a welding hood from them, I’m interested to see how the quality is and see if there’s a difference between my Vulcan welding helmet? Take care Rick 👍
Okay, I just bought one. I look forward to your tig videos. We are noobs here (my oldest kid and me). We took a welding class one semester to just to give it a try last year. We spent most of it stick welding and maybe a third of the time gas welding and only a week of mig. We liked gas welding the best but really wanted to try tig. We have two buckets full of welded coupons to show for it. I would like to .. make.. something. Hope you do some kind of follow along thing with a kit maybe?
Great video. Your video help me with my choice. I bought the upgraded 205 DS 220V (black and red with Aluminum Spool option). Welder Setting Chart is included with Standard/ metric conversion...really helpful. Amazon has them on sale.
I keep coming back and watching this video. I think I will buy one of these welders for my shop I got one of the Yeswelder Helmets for Christmas and I'm impressed at the quality of the helmet at the price.
I have been using this welder a lot lately on my Mini Pinzgauer 6x6 project and I like it more and more all the time. I have some settings I have found to be really nice, it’s really quick for me to set up change volts depending on the gauge of metal I’m welding. Check out my Mini Pinz build series, you will see this welder used completely on that build. Take care 👍
Well the biggest thing is the Yeswelder is not able to run a spool gun but the titanium 200 can. The overall quality of the build of the titanium is better but the lift start for the TIG on the Yeswelder works better, also the MiG lead on the Yeswelder is easily replaceable and feels like it’s better built. I really like both welders but I know the titanium holds up because I have owned it for two years now.
@@Mikefestiva Yes i noticed the lift start seemed much smoother , which for sure had me looking at the yeswelder more . Looks like the tig torch is on backorder till mid feb on yeswelder's site if i looked at the correct one :(
@@bethgilleon9982 Yes I think the TIG torch is probably out of stock at the moment, I’m trying to get better at not worrying about that stuff as much any more. I’m sure they will have them again like you mentioned. I think the overall finish of the titanium is better, the $100 extended Warranty from HF is no questions asked so you have no problems if the Titanium stops working if you pay for the extra warranty. The MiG lead for the titanium seems to be questionable if it’s easy to find a replacement one or not, mine is still working fine after two years. The Yeswelder MiG lead is available on there website along with a 15foot version. I’m just not sure how the warranty would work out going though Yeswelder because I have not had to deal with anything like that yet? I hope this extra info helps. Take care 🙂
Thanks again for the great review with all the honest pros and cons. I have been pretty set om buyin titanium 200 but now i need to look into this multi process machin haha
Thanks for your excellent video, I was looking very hard at the titanium 170 but after this video I will be looking for this welder. I have welded for years with a Lincoln 225 buzz box, purchased a used wire feed (harbor freight) and it's not that good. But now I would like to have a welder that is more portable and versatile this looks like the best way to go.
I saw the Mig T4 feature used for banding steel wheels. You can start the gun then turn the wheel by hand (in a jig fixture built with a wheel hub) to weld the full circumference in a single bead.
glad I found your channel! I've got a welding project coming up on my channel where I have to cut out the floorboard on a 2002 Porsche 911 and weld in a new donor piece! I haven't welded in almost 30 years and then it was stick. I'm going to be reviewing your videos and see if you can teach me how to weld. Subscribed!
Nice video Mike! Any possibility of another comparing the differences between the current 205ds (black case) and the older version with the blue case? The controls changed significantly as did some of the features. Thanks.
Great review. Got mine for $314 direct from YesWelder with the Father's Day discount, and ordered the YesWelder tig torch on Amazon with a 10% discount. I love this welder. I was was about to pull the trigger on the Titanium when I learned about YesWelder. I hope they take your suggestion for including the conversion chart. I would be great if you could do a duty cycle test for this welder.
@@easttnscott7629 It was mainly the value. I figured I could do without the spool gun capability for the price. At the time I actually planned on getting the Titanium as a second welder whenever the time comes. Well, now that time has come, but I'm so pleased with the MIG 205 that I am going with the YesWelder MIG 250 Pro.
This will get to you a good pointless argument trigger on this post in a while? T for your own and a new system! You could probably make that much easier lay your head off? I'm sorry r the fact they do for their job if you're interested or even more and you knew this
I think I'm going to jump on this for the black friday deal. You should make this sticker and sell it. I know I'd buy it. There's a lot of print on demand websites where you could print a sticker or magnet with the info. Thanks for the review. P.S. Great video man. I work with yeswelder as well, and recently got this same machine into my shop. I don't TIG, but I found the MIG really easy to get up and running. My biggest gripe is exactly the same as yours, that metric thickness setting!

I'll be happy to buy a hoodie and a t-shirt. Please share the link. I'm at México City.
Are you his father???
Good luck! Welding is not hard
I am new to welding as well . . . got my 220 plug today!
Another value added review, clear and to the point! But, oh, how I miss the long drawn out unboxing segment...said no one ever!
Mike I love how you are the ultimate professional! You posted those welding time upfront and that is cool!
Thank you 😊
I’m happy to hear you have been enjoying those welders! I sure like my ProTig and my Titanium!
I was just welding some Aluminum with my ProTig today finishing up a bit of cab work on my articulating dump truck.
Thanks for supporting my efforts and ordering some hoodies! Including your order I have sold 4 Items so far, they sure don’t sell very well 😂
Thanks again Richie 👍
I've been waiting on someone who was familiar to me to do a review of the yeswelder brand. Thank you. I've been looking for a cheap mig/tig combo to put in my service truck. I do a lot of outside welding and inside welding. I didn't want to spend a couple of grand on name brand just to get abused and broken. Thank you again!
I recommended this machine to a friend and he is very happy with it.
Dang finally my man best days are when we get fresh videos from Mike festiva heck yah
I finally bought one. Thanks for the honest review. Mine arrived from Amazon in 3 days damage free.
I came to see a review of a welder, but i left a better welder. Love that you can squeeze some useful knowledge into your review videos. Always a pleasure to watch.
Right on! I really appreciate it 🙂👍
I am buying one to learn on. ...truth be told..I am a crappy welder..but am great at grinding !
thanks Mike !
Don't! It is crazy cheap junk.
@@dereksowers628 ..did'nt..ended up buying a Lincoln 180. Easy to use and ..its a Lincoln.
Your welding machine reviews have been informative and helpful.
Just received mine Mike! Based off your review, and other reviews, I’d agree it’s the best bang for the buck 👌🏼 Thanks for your commitment to neutral based reviews and thoroughly going through the user process!
Awesome! I’m glad you got it 👍
I was just running mine in my shop this afternoon, works really well.
Ps I’ve been running mine with the extra volt adjustment at +2 and the inductance at +6
Setup like this I find I can run the main screen volts at around 18.5 with .035 wire with CO2/Argon and weld 1/8” great 👍
I’m now getting a good feel for the machine and can easily just turn up or down the volt dial and get it spot on for different thicknesses metal.
***Can you update your Affiliate links for the torch?
Take care 🙂
Thank you so much!!!! I'm using flux core and I couldn't figure out why my wire speed was so low. I didn't know about the groved roller
Another great review. Will be looking forward to how it holds up, as it would be a cheap way to break into Tig. You are the first site I go to for info and how to videos. Thank you for your efforts.
Right on 👍 Thanks for checking out my video Chuck! Yes I’m interested to see how it holds up in the shop. Take care
Just ordered one on Amazon from yeswelder and they gave me a $30 coupon so it cost $339.99 with free shipping. Can’t wait to try it out.
I never use the auto set with the thickness settings, I have been happy with just setting the Volts and let the welder auto set the wire speed 👍
I have been running mine for the past year and a half and it’s been rock solid 🙂
Thanks Eric and i’m glad it worked out for ya 👍
This was a great review Mike. Pretty incredible how reasonably priced welders have become over the past 5 years
Thanks Cody! Yes multi process machines have become quite affordable now 👍 I had used an old Lincoln weld pac 100 for years and it would barely weld1/8”. If I wanted to weld Anything thicker I would have to take it out to my friends shop to weld, I’m happy people like myself can actually afford decent welders now 🙂
This welder is very cheap. I bought one after watching this video. Very disappointed. It is very poorly made. avoid! you have been warned.
Afternoon Mike 👋,
Was browsing through FB and stumbled upon this Unit on a promo website and decided to Just do it!

Great review. Nice to actually see the unit in use instead of just buying from a picture.
Thanks.
Just receive my welder last week. I've not done any stick or tig. Running mig with Flux core. This is a awesome welder.
You mentioned you where going to do an UPDATE a year later on this welder. That would be great.
Thanks
MR H
Thanks for the review Mike! I just bought this welder with their 30% off discount code, (sorry I didn't use your discount code) I ended up paying $308.00. Can't wait to try this out, I'm a beginner welder
I wanted the harbor freight titanium or omnipro but couldn't pass this deal up.
This is the exact scenario I’m in I ordered mine a few days ago i was gonna order the harbor freight one but the deal was too good to pass
That’s a good deal man! Congrats 🙂👍 no biggie about my code, I would rather you save your money and get the 30% off 😊
I am looking at a autoset welder here in New Zealand cigweld 185 3-1 type and it comes with all the leads to do the welding job man prices over there are cheep this autoset cigwelder here i NZ $1700.00 the gas here 90-10 mix 75-25 cant get all up bottle D size and welder NZ $2500.00 for autoset, it's only money and thank you for an othere fantastic video .
Thanks for the review! I just received mine tonight. I had a harbor freight flux but it was to hot. I am tack welding holes in auto body (building a rally car) I am not experienced but I want to try smaller than 30 and hopefully won't make bigger holes like before. 😀
Now that's a good honest review of a welder just like Mike always does, thanks Mike !!!
Thanks David 😊
Watch those Yes Welder gas lenses, I bought the same thing after contaminating some rather expensive Aluminum welds I found that they aren't soldered together so the lens will unscrew from itself allowing outside air to get into shielding gas.
I made a arc disconnector for lift tig with a battery isolator. It works with a foot pedal. It stops the arc when you let off the pedal. Does not taper off, it just stops instantly. Dont have to pull away to stop the arc.
Thanks great 👍
I bet a lot of people would be interested to se that, do you have a video posted on that?
If you do please share it! Thanks
@@Mikefestiva I sent you pictures on your instagram.
@@toycoma98 I'd like to see these pictures too - I think I understand what you did but I'd like to see your solution.
Thank you for the review. I was considering the Yes multi process and the Yes plasma cutter. Think I'll try them.
Awesome review. The cut out to see the difference in penetration between the machines was cool.
as always, you explain things clearly & have a pleasant demeaner. You should have been a shop teacher, Thanx
I recently purchased the "Yes Welder 2.0" solar Weld helmet. It has a very clear view lens, I am impressed! Might make a good review...
Don
After trimming the conductor did it run ok?
Nice video, I loved the sliced T weld compare. Very cool to see what is actually happening deeper to judge a weld.
Thanks Jake! Yes it’s an interesting way to see what’s going on inside the weld. Thanks for checking out my new video 👍
Really nice video. I’m looking for mig welder, I can scab stick weld the more I do the better it gets. Thanks for the help.
Sure your not a salesman you sure sold me on it. Thanks for the promo code btw saved 40 dollars on my purchase.
Just received mine this morning. Nice machine and agree that the auto settings seem on the hot side.
Bro your illustration of this machine is SUPERB
Thanks for the great review, Mike! I think I need to get one of these - I didn't realize the price point that they were at!
Thanks Norm!!!
Thanks Mike! With your 10% at YES, they apply it to everything in the cart(like TIG gun and TIG electrodes) and shipping is free to Colorado! Looking forward to some extended use reports!
Thanks for checking out my new video🙂
That’s cool it applies to everything in the cart!
I agree with you Mike it's a great little welder and great value.
Would love to see a video on the yeswelder 250a mig tig stick
Mike good overview of a budget multiprocessor welder. $369 + $50Tig torch + $30 gas regulator= $450.
Take care 👍
Thank you for your review on this welder . I am still trying to decide on the Yeswelder mig 205ds or the Titanium 200 as which to get .
Take care 🙂
@@Mikefestiva How does the yeswelder compare to the Omni pro 220
Thanks again for the great review with all the honest pros and cons. I have been pretty set om buyin titanium 200 but now i need to look into this multi process machin haha
Thanks for your excellent video, I was looking very hard at the titanium 170 but after this video I will be looking for this welder. I have welded for years with a Lincoln 225 buzz box, purchased a used wire feed (harbor freight) and it's not that good. But now I would like to have a welder that is more portable and versatile this looks like the best way to go.
Impressed on the lift start @Mike Festiva
I saw the Mig T4 feature used for banding steel wheels. You can start the gun then turn the wheel by hand (in a jig fixture built with a wheel hub) to weld the full circumference in a single bead.
Thanks for the review, i’m getting ready to take an into to mig welding class, and you are a big inspiration to me...thanks dude..:)
Right on 👍 Thanks for checking out my videos!
Have fun with your welding class, you will really enjoy welding and build stuff 👍
Thanks for the splendid review. I just picked up 1. Ungrading from a fluxcore welder.

Thank you Chris! I really appreciate it 🙂
I’ve made my mind up to buy a multi process welder, I am more focused on TIG but would love to get practice at home with other processes…
glad I found your channel! I've got a welding project coming up on my channel where I have to cut out the floorboard on a 2002 Porsche 911 and weld in a new donor piece! Great job Mike, I always learn something

All that for under $500? Hey, that ain't bad. I also appreciate your honesty.
What made you to go with YESWelder over Titanium? I have been in this fence for a while. I Tedder back and forth. Thanks

Thanks Shaun for commenting! I really appreciate it 🙂
Another great video as usual. I'd love to see a quick video of your process you used to clean up the welded coupons to inspect the welds!
I think I'm going to jump on this for the black friday deal. You should make this sticker and sell it. I know I'd buy it. There's a lot of print on demand websites where you could print a sticker or magnet with the info. Thanks for the review. P.S. I'd love a video on welding aluminum with this machine as their website says "Do not weld Aluminum plate" and I see I'm not the only one confused about this.
Great and informative video without the BS. Nice!

Hi Mike really enjoying all your honest reviews i am a UK citizen looking to start my own small fabrication shop I trained as a welder back in 92 and spent the next 11 years in a very busy fabrication shop so I'm fairly proficient in all aspects of steel fabrication and welding my frustration at present is finances I figure if i can just get a cheap welder and grinder I can start doing small jobs any feedback you could give would be much appreciated
Mike,
Just ordered one with regulator and a Tig torch. I forgot the gas lens kit. I will pick up from Amazon.
Awesome 👍
I agree Mike it being in metric will defenitly be hard for people first starting out we can do the conversions other ways but not everyone will know how @Mike festiva
Great video man. I work with yeswelder as well, and recently got this same machine into my shop. I don't TIG, but I found the MIG really easy to get up and running. My biggest gripe is exactly the same as yours, that metric thickness setting!

Great channel! Found you with a review of Harbor Freight welders & this review after subbing. GLAD I did! Sounds like this machine will do the general equipment repairs I can handle for 1/4" steel or less on my backhoe & tractor while leaving enough $$$ to get a torch if I need it later.
