When I was working in the Midwest, I used to have breakfast with a group of farmers. I happened to mention one day that one farm’s corn had tassels. That’s when I discovered “tassel envy”. Each of the other farmers protested loudly that their corn had just as good tassels.
Laura, Thank you too for always taking the time to show us your life and family. You are a great example of hard work and values. You guys are great! 👍🥰

Married for 28 years, I’m far removed from the dating scene. But, Laura, you sure make a good case for young men to look to a country/farm gal in favor of the city.
@@michaellindsey1543 You're the only one of the three who have commented here (so far) that has been married longer than I've been divorced. Hello Laura I love your videos ❤️. I've been watching for a while but haven't put up any comments till now because sometimes I don't know what to say so for now I'm just saying good day as in Hello love your work 💖. Hello to Grant too talk soon
I'm so glad I found your channel. I love how optimistic you are about everything and how you take the time to explain. Being an old farm boy from many years ago, it does the heart good to see the farming community is in great hands. Thank you!
I lived on a small farm from age 9 to age 18 and helped my dad with the field work. Now granted, the biggest field was only 23 acres, but we used 2 bottom plow, 6 foot disk, probably a 6 foot spring tooth drag, and a 8 foot cultipacker to till with. For planting, a 2-row 40” row width corn planter, a 13-7 formerly horse-drawn steel wheel grain drill. Harvesting, a 1-row corn picker, first, a 6 foot then later a 5 foot pull-type combine. We did do hay with a 6 foot sickle bar mower, steel-wheeled side delivery rake, and a John Deere small square baler. Tractors used were a John Deere 40 and a John Deere 1010, after I moved out, my dad “upgraded” to a Minneapolis-Moline Jetstar 3. This was in the mid-to-late 1960s and early 1970s. The thing I marvel at is how much technology and capacity has increased since those days! Nearly unbelievable! But anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR FARMING LIFE!
This might be your best video yet. I'm going to send the link to my daughter who has never driven a manual transmission except for an old tractor for about 10 minutes, because it has a good view of Laura's clutch and gearshift work. (Yeah I know you declared you weren't an expert with a manual but the video shows the right moves at the right time). But it's the humor in this video that's the biggest success! It takes a lot to break a driveshaft on a military truck, but it takes real skill to repair it enough that it can drive out of the river on its own power. The sudden change from Grant under the differential in the dark and then Laura motoring out of the farmyard in the tractor was priceless, I just lapped it up, she could have just sat there driving and the point would have been made even without dialogue. And then at the end when Grant explains why he got pulled over. Wow.
You are a pleasure to watch and listen to about all of your farming adventures or fun things you and Grant do together. I always find myself smiling when you're talking. Your sweet sincere smile is contagious . I sit here watching you and I'm smiling all of the time ! You and Grant are a great couple and I'm glad he and your dad are so close ! Just discovered Laura Farms a couple of days ago and love the positivity and radiant smiles from you, Grant and your whole family. I have been bing watching from the beginning and it just keeps getting better.
Well I for one really enjoy getting to see what life is like on your farm. Sure is a hell of a lot different to life on my dairy farm here in Ireland! Really appreciate the opportunity to see what daily family life is like for you too.
Thanks again Laura & Grant, farmers to pipe layers. It is good to have fun time, your dad is a kid at heart and fun to be with. I must say Laura, you look cool driving the jeep, dressed for the weather. Bad boy, Grant, you were enjoying it too much at the end, Laura. Love from Mike, stay safe and well. ❤
I love watching you guys going out and having fun just as much as I love watching you guys do the farm life. Such an inspiration. God bless your whole family.
Started watching your channel today!! And I already love watching y’all! Nebraska is gorgeous! It’s nice to see a female farmer! You’re an inspiration!
Hey Laura, I so enjoy watching your videos, and ask your content. No matter what you are filming it is always so much fun watching what you all get into no matter if it’s work or fun. Or grant getting pulled over in your truck. Glad your dad and grant are great friends you don’t see that much to where father and son in laws get along that well. You all are truly blessed beyond measure. Keep up that great work. You crop’s are looking really great better than most I have seen, most peoples fields are burnt up from all the heat.
Glad to see the corn shooting up so fast and healthy. A little watering goes a long way. The boys will be boys at the river. Can't stop for having fun all around.
What a beautiful smile and positive thoughts and attitude towards life. You are bright, clever and charming. Your family and friends must be very proud of you. Thanks for being who you are I wish you and your husband a very long and happy life.

Thank you Laura for taking the time to make these video's they are good learning video's for someone who doesn't farm or wants to learn more about farming. Also your intro when you smile and say good morning instantly puts you in a good mood. Hope you have a good weekend.😊
Farming is in Great Hands with you too and your family 👍. Love watching how much more than most people think goes into how you bring the food to The table.
Laura, you help those who choose to watch your channel how much work is involved bringing food from seed to table. We have a small farm in VA and yes, its hard work just not so much of it at one time. BTW, wife's car thermometer sez its 108 and the humidity is up around 85%. Yuk! 👍
Wow that takes me back a few years when I did pipe irrigation in Oregon with our rickety pipe trailer. There was also a large Allis-Chalmers diesel tractor that we would pull out with a much smaller gasoline tractor of the same make, when it got stuck. We even had a slightly smaller red Farmall that could be hand cranked when the battery went dead, which was most of the time. I'm also reminded of the time I helped some friends move to the lower San Joaquin valley in California, from Oregon. It was particularly dry that year and every stream/river was bone dry, with wheel tracks in some of them, with the exception of the Sacramento river. More recently having traveled from Oregon to Georgia we crossed the Platte river, which was mostly dry, and past the fields of soy beans and corn which seemed to follow us all the way through Tennessee. Even saw several pivots in operation after watching your pivot repair in the soy bean field. It is great to see your videos and then experience some of what I see in them. Keep having fun and a great life.
Always great videos Laura, and we don't take you for granted either. We see just how hard you work, and it's great to see you have some time to play. You seem to enjoy every aspect of your important life, and the service you provide for our country. Keep up the great work, and showing us the life of the American farmer! We love you and Grant! p.s. (I love the views of the Platte River and your surrounding area, because it reminds me of my past, when I drove past your area for many years going back and forth across the states.)
Really enjoy watching you and the fam enjoy all aspects of farm life. You are so darn cute and sweet. Wishing you all the best luck in feeding the rest of us.
Laura to watch you and Grant having fun is great. To see you two involved in farming is great. Most us retired farms have had to sale the farm because of lack of interest or lack of new money for the the next generation to begin. Keep blogging we enjoy all of them.
We love you too, Laura! Just keep up with the smiles, laughs and being your cheery self and I/we will keep on a-watchin' your videos! :-) Grant, lead foot! LOL! It's so easy to do driving in a brand new truck or car!

I enjoy the mix of work and play. For instance, is this video we hear you talk about and we get to see first hand the great relationship your dad and Grant have. We have a great relationship with our son in law and we are forever greatful for that!
I love to watch each and every video you post. I started watching your videos before you got married. Keep up the awesome work showing your everyday life.
Grant has talent undiscovered as yet - more things to fix - of course - and Laura well who's to question her talent - a farming legacy awaits that family if she keeps going - God Bless the two of you - you make us all want to start farming - like when we were young..
I really appreciate the US farmers and the dedication they have to getting food to the population. Driving through Kansas after the sun sets and seeing the combines with their lights on to light their way and a truck waiting to take another load to the silo is truly inspiring. Thank you.
Laura, you are so incredibly cute and adorable I wish I were a farmer. Oh, I suppose I’d also have to live in the US but that’s a minor problem. Thank you for your videos x
I watch your videos and immediatly recall my youth on the farm and wish I was back on the farm. I thank you for taking me back to my very fond memories.

Laura, i love Your videos. You are so cheerfull, and Grant is a great man. Wathcing today's video, I was wandering : do You have mosquitos there? And offroading activity - great thing! I also used to drive offroad in my previous, previous car Suzuki Vitara. It's one of the best thing You can do in a car for 5k zł (~1k $).
We irrigated 12oo acres that way back in the 60's, 30' joints on 40" spacing, 10" pipe. 450 ft deep wells 1/4 to 1/2 mile long rows. We had tail water pits to catch the runoff water and floating electric pumps in the pit to pump the water back to the underground lines back to the stand pipe to reuse the water. Made for a great swimming hole!
Thank you Laura....yeh no doubt Laura when a father enjoys who their child wants to spend their life with...Laura u could search the world over and never find men like that.....from Hoffman Oklahoma thank you
You Laura look so good as well in the water river , nice vary pretty 🤩, nice thanks ,talking about water , out in Az and NV the lake mead is losing 8 inches of water every day , it is something like 800 feet lower than it was last couple of years , probably need to figure out how to use water 💦 more proficiently lolnice thanks beautiful ray of sunshine Laura , thanks grant letting us see your blessed wife Laura , thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ amen amen 🙏

Just saw where You're the #1 Farmer of RUclips Laura! Way to go and what an awesome accomplishment! You have a great personality, smile, sense of humor and that's we all LOVE YOU and YOUR VIDEOS! KABOOM to You and Grant!
When I was watching him driving so slow it reminded me of a story my dad told me. Back in WWII he was on an island and I do not remember which one but a base commander saw a truck and he thought it was driving too fast so he put a speed limit on for all of them. Dad said everybody was pissed so they put all the trucks into granny low and nobody shifted out of first gear. He said the new speed limit lasted about half a day and it was removed
FULL Tassell mode. Reminded me of a day out in the yard. Had a small garden. A number of rows of corn. Was out pulling weeds early ear't one morning to beat the heat. I stood up and was amongst the tassells and 10,000 bees. I got popped by one and then went in.
Love your videos Laura, and your Dads. I was watching some of your early videos this weekend, your confidence and delivery has grown like a great crop. If you and Grant keep enjoying making videos I will keep watching them.
Because of the economic crisis that always comes up the best thing to be on every wise individual’s mind or list is to invest in different streams of income that’s not depending on the government to generate funds.
Totally agree with you mate . I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don't know who agrees with me but either way I recommend either real estate or crypto and stocks.
After what has unfolded in 2020 I no longer see crypto as speculation. More as an inevitability. Even if it takes 10years to get to $100k that would mean the average rate of return with a daily $100 over a year is 100%, what asset class out there today offers that type of opportunity?
I always enjoy your videos no matter what you post, because you and Grant are genuine good people. Laura we love you just the way you are -- you are authentic - the real deal, so no worries. Keep posting.

I enjoy the mix of work and play. For instance, is this video we hear you talk about and we get to see first hand the great relationship your dad and Grant have. We have a great relationship with our son in law and we are forever greatful for that!
Great video and great job with the irrigation
I love to watch each and every video you post. I started watching your videos before you got married. Keep up the awesome work showing your everyday life.
Your channel content is always entertaining Laura..an we appreciate YOU for that...keep up the good work👍
Grant has talent undiscovered as yet - more things to fix - of course - and Laura well who's to question her talent - a farming legacy awaits that family if she keeps going - God Bless the two of you - you make us all want to start farming - like when we were young..
I really appreciate the US farmers and the dedication they have to getting food to the population. Driving through Kansas after the sun sets and seeing the combines with their lights on to light their way and a truck waiting to take another load to the silo is truly inspiring. Thank you.
You two are awesome. I’m ex dairy farmer and I feel I live there still just by watching you guys. . Thank you so much and God bless
Laura, you are so incredibly cute and adorable I wish I were a farmer. Oh, I suppose I’d also have to live in the US but that’s a minor problem.
Thank you for your videos x
Yes Tim a minor problem, the southern border has lots of holes for those so inclined
Slow down Tim, she’s married.
I watch your videos and immediatly recall my youth on the farm and wish I was back on the farm. I thank you for taking me back to my very fond memories.
I think that it's fair to say that all of us love your videos with Grant & your family.
I so agree with that
Ditto and we all need ask her to make a calendar 📅 in her best looks and on her tractors 🚜 she is worthy with of being in magazines or on the farm wife’s calendar 📅 nice thanks BigAl California, praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏
We do, from other farmers, city folk, desert rats like me, youngsters, cranky decrepit old farts, all love Laura and Grant. They give me hope for the future of our nation and the world.
@@1mongorock indeed! True that!
👍🐾🐺🧙♂️🐺🐾👍!!
AH ! good ole irrigation pipe !! You have such an enjoyable smile !
You remind me of peppermint patty for some reason lol. I dig it
We really enjoy your honesty and down to earth personality!
Thank you Laura....yeh no doubt Laura when a father enjoys who their child wants to spend their life with...Laura u could search the world over and never find men like that.....from Hoffman Oklahoma thank you
The smile at the end....does it every time!!
I died when seemingly out of nowhere Grant says "We ARE stuck!"
Laura, we love watching! Right around the world! Keep up the great content. Thank you.

Your videos make me so nostalgic for my younger days growing up in Marquette. I just love watching you and Grant living the life I wish I could have had there. You are so blessed and literally living the dream. ❤️
…you guys do know the slang “laying pipe”….right? It just cracks me up hearing y’all say that straight faced. Lol 😂
I was going to say, so it can't be the worst job on the farm :)
Grant laying in the river bed, playing with his driveshaft, was the money shot.

I've got 12th winning, thanks to him I've made £16,400 in 18 days working with him.
I love seeing these young guns farming. Keep it up Laura and Grant and Lord bless you on your future endeavors in farming!
“How long has Grant been layin’ pipe?” Well, they’re married so i guess no topics r off the discussional table.
He's not saying.
I've always wanted to trade cry'pto but got confused by the volatility in the price
I've also been trading with him, profits are secure and over a 100% return on investments
I've lost a lot of money trying to trading for myself.....I tried trading on my own but it only left me chasing shadows 😞
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching what you and Grant do for fun. Keep up all the good work you do!!!
Laura, gotta b a little more smooth (stick shift) w/ur left leg.
thank you for your time
Thanks for making your video, I call it smile time, not often that I don't end up grinning from your antics. Have a great day.
Agreed. Green and Blue seem to be in our instinct and just make us feel good.
I always enjoy your videos no matter what you post, because you and Grant are genuine good people. Laura we love you just the way you are -- you are authentic - the real deal, so no worries. Keep posting.
Agree Laura......Beautiful Scene!!!!!!
