Robert Smigel is a fucking legend. He has worked on some of the biggest comedy shows in television history. I would love to see a stand up comedy special.
I love how Robert created the voice of Triumph when he was just a child because he had Eastern European family members with that same accent. I can only imagine how funny it was to see a child talking to dogs with that voice. 😆
The crime of the the late night changes in the last 5-10 years is that we have all of the same guys in every position. Colbert is ok now, but his commentary was much better as biting parody he could do on Cable. Seth Meyers style was better on SNL Weekend Update than the current show where he cant really be biting as well. Fallon is horrible marketable trash comedy. Corden s horrible marketable trash comedy. Jimmy Kimmel is a weird mix, as he was on the man show, and yet gets less funny and more corporate as the years come
